Video is private. Can you recommend another? I have the same problem and am not a big makeup wearer, but I DO always have to cover my dark, deepest, eye circles
When I don't wear makeup, people have literally asked me if I have cancer, am dying, or sick in some way. Thank you for being brave enough to do this video
My Classmates asked me if I had slept last night. I just made it an excuse and accept it like if I had not slept even though I had 10 hours of sleep. My mother said that when I was little I already have dark circles, I am born for it. I can't remove it. I tried many ways like face masks, peppino and other things but dark circles don't want to let go under my eyes. It's sickenning me.
This beautiful woman said many times this video was very hard to film and it's her most painful insecurity. How about supporting her. When did it become ok to bash someone so much when they've stated it's hard for them to show how they really look? Shame on every one of you who did that here to her. Shame.
couldn’t have said this better myself. It’s always the most insecure people who feel the need to tear down those who have the fucking balls to show the majority of us don’t look like the stereotypical insta model (who are mostly all edited to shit anyways) and we don’t have to. It’s just one more reason women n young girls lack confidence. When ur consistently exposed to these fine-tuned, revised, altered images not only are you being told from the outside world ur not good enough cus they don’t look like just like a clone of the girls with followers, you actually start to believe it yourself and that’s the real tragedy in all this. But somehow even when an influencer has the courage to show the reality. Attempting to help us recognize that everyone is different n unique and THAT’S what makes us beautiful. Sorry for the long af paragraph lol your comment just really spoke to me, it’s exactly what I was thinking💕
@@kylienova3040 yes, thank you for your reply. Reading your thoughts I fully agree with what your saying as well. Thank you for sharing and adding onto my points❤
I would love to be asked that. Instead people ask me if I was punched or that I have to go to the doctor because there is CLEARLY something wrong with me. Or people just call me creepy or ugly. I really really hate my skin.
My dark circles are hereditary also. They're so bad that a woman in a grocery store handed me a domestic abuse hotline number information card 😂. Nope, I just have crazy raccoon eyes.
I feel you. I used to get asked by every new school counselor or nurse if I was being hit, and my nickname is middle school was "mapache" (raccoon in spanish).
My life since I was 10 years old! I’m so glad someone else understands. I’ve always been told “oh you look so tired. Are you ok” without makeup. It’s one of my biggest insecurities. You’re not alone girl!
sometimes i think my eyeliner has smeared when its actually just my dark circles so 15 minutes of face cleansing later I just have to face my denial and accept it wasnt the eyeliners fault 😂 my brain is just so used to how i look that when i dont go near a mirror for a while i forget about little flaws
It is so nice to see someone that is addressing real dark circles. People have pulled me aside to ask if everything was okay, or to say they never realized my husband was the abusive type. No, my husband has never hit me, I just have dark circles that are so bad that they look like two black eyes. You are right, plenty of sleep does not help.
& allergies! If they're Vascular dark circles, Tranexamic Acid helps. So does Q10 Vit K & C. Allergies/ rubbing make it worse.. & lack of sleep like you said, for sure!
It's funny I used to hate mine, and started to embrace them recently... And I wouldn't change them for the world. Most of the VERY attractive celebs have dark circles, if you pay attention... ie Angelina Jolie js.
@@milainside-out9822 it's hard to embrace them when you live in a self conscience world where everybody judges you everyday and if you don't look flawless then you're not a real person so acts like a lot of people on social media it's sad but true...I've tried to embrace my dark circles but in the world we live in people can be so cruel and mean a lot of people going on social media frontin like they're perfect looking knowing that they use filters the right angles cover up but then make the people that actually go through life looking natural feel like less of a person just because they're not concealing and hiding all their flaws and insecurities
Dude, I used to think dark circles were beautiful, but I think I'm conditioned to think the opposite now. I hate when my eyes sink inwards and turn really pigmented, I feel hideous. But on other people, I can bypass it.
Contrary to the complaints of the excessive talking, I actually appreciate the thoroughness. Some people tend to talk more as a nervous tick and you clearly stated this was a very hard, unveiling video for you so dont worry about it. I learned a lot from this and will be practicing some of your tips. Thank you!
People are soooo RUDE, how about a 'thank you' to Alexandria for giving you a beauty tip. - Learn how to skip to the parts you are so anxious for. Ugh!
😭😭😭 Omg, in so many of your newer videos you are on camera with no concealer and I'm so freaking proud of you! You are such a babe, makeup or no makeup. It's so helpful to see someone who I can relate to with dark circles 😭🙏😩 So many beauty gurus say they have dark circles and I'm literally like, wHeReEeE???
Omg I know. I get upset and frustrated when I see a severe dark circle vid being made by a beautiful girl with teeny shadows that just need concealer and a finger. I turn them off. This beautiful young woman was recommended in a comment I saw earlier today of Wayne Goss’s older lady under eye video (don’t we all Love Wayne- another cherub on TH-cam) When I saw Alexandra’s video avatars I thought No Way can she have circles like mine, she’s fair skinned and bloody flawless, however I’m glad I kept scrolling and found this video. I’m only quarter way though and don’t yet know if it works but I’m so impressed and thankful that she has done a genuinely concealer free start as us girls with hereditary major dark circles know the stress of someone even taking a photo of us with no concealer, even WITH concealer, so bless her for doing this for the rest of us. I’ll be submitting to her channel whether the video will work for me or not as I appreciate what she’s done. Plus she’s super gorgeous 😍 Let’s hope it works 🤞🏽 Love Angel xox
When I was 12, my teacher thought I had black eyes because my dark circles were so bad. I haven’t left the house without concealer since I was in junior high. Thank you so much for your videos. I still have issues with my concealer making my skin look grey. I’ve not seen another makeup blogger who really really understands and explains how to deal with this issue like you do. Thank you thank you 🙏
Omg where have you been the past 35 years of my life?! It is so refreshing to see someone who looks like me, with hereditary dark circles. You're so lovely and gorgeous, and I so, so appreciate you creating this for us. Such a happy new subscriber.
I feel you! Sometimes my dad is like: girl, today you look "really ugly" (which sounds worse than it's actually meant) your eyeliner is really smeared. Take that stuff off of your face or i'll do. Plot twist: everytime he says stuff like that I've got literally no make up on 🤦🏼♀️🙈
Love this. I feel like all of us REALLY dark under eye ladies have gone to great lengths to really create a routine to conceal our black eyed look. Thanks for posting!
Wondering what (not super expensive) eye cream...mine is like dry, wrinkles or something... i have no clue bc i feel ive tried every type of concealer. Bare Minerals powder "well rested" is good but omg help me bc im always looking cakey under my eyes... but mine are super dark.
Also i just turned 35. Cant find a good moisturizer. I even get samples... they all make my make up or whatever like if i rub my face or whatever... it kinda rubs into like dirt or something and comes off n shit
Girl you are SO BEAUTIFUL. Stunning. My dark circles are WAY worse than yours and I’m trying to learn to accept mine. It really does help to see other women without concealer. I realize that I don’t even notice them at all in the way I do in myself. It’s so sad and unfortunate that we pick ourselves apart. You’re absolutely lovely. Dark circles and all. OUR BODIES ARE INSTRUMENTS NOT ORNAMENTS! 👊🏼🙌🏽🌈
Try using two different color concealers. I do that and it really makes a difference. go in with your regular concealer and then use a lighter concealer just on the inner portion where its darkest. it creates an illusion that makes it fuller and brings it more forward and disappearance of the circles. kinda the same way contouring and highlighting works
Alice B that would highlight the darkness before you cancel it out. You have to cancel out what you want to hide before ever trying to highlight an area that has darkness. Another thing I noticed, a lot of people do it, is she blended out the peach too much, so it isn’t as effective. The concealer/foundation is what will cover the corrector color. I did it for years and thought color correcting was a load of crap until a MUA showed me how to do it correctly. I would blend it out so much you’d see the darkness through it making it pointless to even do, lol.
Kristine Mike 2 Most of us are because the beauty industry has put a lot of effort into making women feel insecure about our looks and then use those insecurities against us so we will spend a ridiculous amount of money trying to cover up or “fix” what’s natural. I wish we (all women) would uplift and empower each other so we would accept ourselves and start rejecting makeup and the beauty industry altogether. The beauty industry is making us not love ourselves as we are and it creates jealousy/resentment/rivalry between women when we should be supporting and empowering each other. You’re beautiful and good enough as you are. ❤️
I love this video. Im almost 50 and this has been my biggest insecurity forever as well, very dark circles and sunken eyes. Ive never been really into makeup but as I age the circles are way worse. This video was really helpful, I learned a lot. Thank you for this 💕
We have the same type of eyes! I have never seen anyone with my eyes before, even down to the sunken under eyes! It feels so nice to find an eye twin!! This is an amazing tutorial! I'm gonna try it! It turned out wonderfully!!
You just got yourself a subscriber at LAST a human with fair skin but dark under eyes it seems like something you don't see everyday on youtube thank you so much this video is literally a life saver you just fixed the reputation of color correctors LOL
Fair skin with freckles and purple under eyes! Since 10 years old my mom suggested I use concealer. Everyday of my life! I need to figure out what color corrector to use.
I am very fair with dark blonde hair and dark purple under eye circles. Lately I've tried a color corrector by Becca; it's peachy-toned. I've found that it helps to use it under my concealer. However, you have to use it sparingly! I use a very small amount and pat it in gently but thoroughly, and it does help. @@isaacfelicity
I have been searching youtube for weeks for tutorials that cover dark circles, under eye bags and fine line issues for older women... And there are thousands of them!!! But none of them use models that have severe discolouring or have maturing skin. They are showcasing techniques on very mild and youthful skin I've tried various techniques but it's hard to see how effective those techniques are on more serverly discoloured skin. Thank you so much for bearing your true eyes and creating such a real example that I can relate to. I'm looking forward to trying some of your tips.
Finally seeing someone who actually has dark circles cover them up ❤️I have Glaucoma and because of that I have very bad dark circles and I hate it !! Thank you for sharing what you do to cover them up 😊
lilmeowerz makeup doesn’t cover mine either, just tone them down a bit. Also I have recently heard a lot of comments on the veins on my body. #veinpositivity
I wanna thank you for this video! My mother says her dark circles are her biggest insecurity too, and now I can finally try doing this on her so she can feel pretty again!
Looks Vascular like mine. Try Tranexamic Acid. Its like a miracle, mine is topical. Additionally Vitamin K, Q10, and Vitamin C can help. For those, I like the AromaNaturals K,C,Omega. Be careful if you're Vitamin C sensitive; it did irritate my skin, but my skin got use to it. Also, eye rubbing can make it all worss,so treat allergies & break that habit if you do this, like I definitely do.
you are so gorgeous even with no makeup. I know it doesn't matter what other people say to an extent- its for you and your inner voice, but your dark circles are REALLY not bad at ALL! I don't think you have anything to be self conscious about! Mine are at least twice the surface area and darker so i understand what its like to be self conscious, but it is a little heart breaking to see women be so embarrassed/self conscious about features which are actually beautiful- and yes i mean even your under eyes! Thanks for sharing and i meant this as a positive, supportive message
Am i the only one that thinks under eye circles look attractive? They are very theatrical and mysterious to me, and they are one of the few things i like about my appearance
Hey Alex...I look at you and see so much beauty...inside and out. I know that your dark circles are annoying and perhaps"unattractive" to you, but I'm telling you..without prejudice ..you are stunning. Your eyes are gorgeous..your nose is perfect..your lips are amazing..you are the epitome of beauty. If your circles bother you, they are easy enough to cover up..but in my opinion, you have absolutely no reason for any insecurities. We would all die to be as beautiful as you are.💗
Cindy! This is probably the nicest, most thoughtful thing anyone has ever said to me! I truly appreciate it, It's great reminder to love the things that make us unique. Thank you, it means everything ❤️
I agree with her! Wish I had your problems I would gladly trade my undereye wrinkles and crepeyness that look worse with any makeup used for your dark circles that you can cover up! lol And besides that you look like a supermodel.
I'm a recent subscriber & I love your channel...but what is wrong with the people in this comment section? Why is everyone either complaining that she's talking too much, or that their circles are SO much worse...just plain rudeness allover. No matter how exteme (or not) you perceive her circles to be, she was brave to come on camera bare-faced, when she's obviously uncomfortable doing so (which probably lead to more chattiness). Alexandra's trying to explain why she does each step & how, so that it's repeatable. This was meant to be helpful & informative, not frivolous entertainment...there are plenty of other YTs that provide 6 min. bites of fluff with no substance.
Alexandra Anele No problem sweetie, its just the truth. The comments section of this video hurt my heart for you & pissed me off! There was so little empathy for the fact that you made yourself vulnerable on social media, & bravely exposed an insecurity/perceived "flaw". And you were doing this to teach & help people (like me) who deal w/the same issue. I hope that the filler works well for you. It's something I've considered myself, I just haven't moved beyond Googling yet ;) i'm awaiting your video on the process. Keep up the great work, & try not to let the insensitive & petty get you down. 😘💋
There is no need to talk for 17 minutes about shit that has nothing to do with what this video is about. She goes onto apply about eight different products! LMAO. For fucks sake anyone can cover up their dark circles with one or two products and take about 30 seconds to do it.
@@jamesdavis8731 ITS HER CHANNEL. HER VIDEO. HER FACE. HER LIFE. IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GTFO SIS ITS THAT EASY OMG HUMANS LOVE SPREADING HATE WTF. LIKE THERE'S AN EXIT BUTTON?????
Don't feel so insecure, dear. Mine are like 3 times darker and worse and I don't even wear makeup. I just wear it on a special occasion. Be proud instead. People automatically assume you don't get sleep because you work hard. Well we got that at college at least. But thank you for the video, because I do want to cover them for the times I do wear makeup. I personally feel like I have beautiful eyes. They're a single colour light blue, but the purple skin under my eyes don't really make them show, but when I had it covered up once for a formal night, even my bf who had been with me for some years was taken by surprise and said he couldn't keep his eyes off of mine. People noticed. That's like the biggest reason why I hate my dark circles, coz they make my eyes look so dead and uninteresting when I know they're not. Pls don't think I'm boastful or anything here, because I'm actually trying to explain how my dark circles affect me😅
T Zinot I would be still searching for a product had I not found Maybelline age rewind concealer. Concealer was either to light in coverage or too heavy and made everything under my eyes more pronounced. catrice camoflauge concealer, Make Up Revolution conceal and define concealer, and the ulta concealer are also good ones for under the eye.
T Zinot, if they are not hereditary, you should try Make Me Look Like I Slept, Dammit from Crap Free Skincare. It's the only thing that has worked for me at all and I have tried EVERYTHING from potato juice to Lancome. I was about to give up and get a laser skin treatment. If they are hereditary, I would still try it, but add Lactic Acid from The Ordinary, just a drop under each eye every night (only 3 times a week to start) followed by the Crap Free stuff. I use it without the lactic acid, my best friend uses it with and we have both had really good results.
I can relate to this! BUT recently i've been trying to shift my mind to love them because they're part of who i am and what makes me beautifully me. Like YOU and i LOVE seeing yours!!
You know what, making this video actually made me feel so much more comfortable with them. Finding out that there were SO many other people who felt the same way, and conversely, lots of people who find dark circles attractive, totally helped changed my mindset ❤️
From a guy with the same problem I can’t even imagine how much they must piss you off considering women are generally more aware and careful about their makeup and so on. Thankyou.
This is literally the best dark circle coverage tutorial I’ve seen! Thank you so much for the upload :) I also have hereditary dark under eyes and that sunken depth you were talking about. Whenever I do modelling jobs and have my makeup done by professionals, it’s often that they don’t even manage to cover them nicely (especially not without caking on lots and lots of product, plus there’s some obvious photoshop touch ups done on me in that area). I’m definitely gonna incorporate some of your tips for when I do my makeup myself, even if I’ve basically accepted that I will always be a bit dark under my eyes and that these are the things that make us all unique. Maybe it’s even a bit cute!
You're stunning! Thank you SO much for being brave enough to share this. I have always worn a full face of makeup simply because my dark circles. EVERY single time I have gone out without makeup, someone asks if I'm sick, or tired... super annoying! Thank you for the tips, I have watched several of your videos, and ever since I'm a pro at hiding my circles!! 😊
Thank you for this! I'm mixed Latina and Middle Eastern so I've probably had my very deep, dark circles since I was in the womb (and they're full circles, eyelids included). It's what's made me the most self-conscious about my looks since I can remember, so I completely feel you. I'm definitely trying some of your techniques (some I already use) since I take forever to just do my foundation and 95% of that time is spent attempting to cover my undereye area without ever getting as much as an improvement as you showed here. I'm also planning to get fillers very soon since I'm DONE, but I've read that not everyone can benefit from them, it depends on your facial structure, etc. So fingers x-ed they'll be a good option for me. Good luck!
Mine are just as bad if not worse. I just wanted to say thank you for being honest about getting filler & that you usually wear some concealer. Ok going to finish watching. I struggle with darkness & lots of creasing. Oh & you're beautiful with & without makeup on 😘
I have dark circles too. You know you are absolutely beautiful even without make-up! Don’t let this make you insecure about your looks. Every single person has at least one imperfection! ❤️
I work at a methadone clinic which is for people in recovery from drug addiction, I legitimately had the nurses there think I was under the influence just for not wearing makeup. Really frustrating. I ended up having to take a drug test at work to prove that I wasn't. Ended up lecturing my co-workers on judging women based off of their appearance. if my actions and behaviors made it seem like I was on drugs that would be one thing but someone having dark circles under their eyes for example is not an okay reason to assume somebody's under the influence. Hereditary, lack of sleep, mostly honestly it's genetics. We all know what causes them and we all know how frustrating it is to have people ask us if we're sick or tired when we're not wearing anything. I noticed people legitimately treat me differently when I don't have makeup on people are not nearly as nice to me not nearly as cheerful and not nearly as eager to talk to me. If I have a full face of makeup on people legitimately treat me differently. They're nicer, more respectful.I remember my senior year of high school noticing that one of my teachers only said hello to me on the days that I was mine a full face of makeup and on the days I was wearing nothing and sweats I would walk by and that teacher would say nothing, literally every time. People are gross and let's face it we're not out here assuming that men are on drugs or super tired when they have dark circles. We just assume oh men don't wear makeup so that must be why. The root of people asking women if they are sick or not well when they're not wearing makeup is completely misogynistic and sexist. I feel the more often we as women share our insecurities with other people, (whether we cover them up or not), the more progress we are making to accept people for who they are. seeing you have the courage to show your dark circles on camera helps give me the courage to go to the store today without makeup. not that it would matter if I wore makeup or make it any less brave, I just personally would like to feel more comfortable when I'm not wearing it and not worry so much about what other people think. I like wearing makeup when Im wearing it for me and it's not to ensure people don't think I'm on drugs, or tired or sick. 😉
Sherry Woolard-Russell we all are our own worst critic, lol. Aren’t we? I see a gorgeous woman who is awfully talented. I just watched her 101 of eye shadow blending and it is leaps and bounds better than any on YT (including Wayne Goss and Tati’s.)
Moon & Stars do your parents, friends and classmates tell you the same thing all the time? I swear, the rudeness is insane in this comment section. I know for a fact you don’t say something so rude and ballsy to people’s face because you’d of had your ass handed to you, learning fast.
They are not that bad Alexandra, and totally not obvious because of your natural beauty which absolutely shines. If the procedure will make you feel better then I hope it does exactly what you want it too - but you are gorgeous anyway xx
This was a very helpful video. Thank you. I'm in the same boat. When I did a blood allergy test it helped my dark circles. Honestly I'm 36 and over the years that was truly the only thing that's ever helped me look less raccoony lol. It's about $300 at a natural pathetic doctors office. You learn alot from the test, it's just a small blood test. They give you a very detailed printout showing you the foods that cause inflammation and straight up pain in yourbody. What I learned is my most aller6food for me is broccoli. I used to eat it several times a week not realizing what it did to me.i eliminated it from my diet and tried it again a week later. Well let me tell you I thought I was dieing!! My entire body burned for like several hours!! And my dark circles went horribly darker for weeks! That was ten years ago, now if I'm at a event and somehow I accidentally eat broccoli, it turns me beat red, body immediately burns from the inside out, feels like my blood is straight up acid burning my joints and everywhere my veins travel. So basically everywhere! No benadryl helps, water lots of water and time is the only thing that helps, so basically for 3 days it slowly gets better but my dark circles last for weeks so much darker. Sorry for long story, but I seriously tell everyone I know about this so they all go and get the same test. We have all benefited so much from it. I know $300 is very expensive, but it's life changing. I'd sell everything I own to afford it if I needed to, that's how important that small vile of blood is. Cheers beautiful :)
Being someone who has very pale skin and an autoimmun disease I feel this on so many levels. Im constantly asked if Im sick because of my circles and palness I am so happy you made this! Thank you.
Strange tip but hear me out: I take a barefaced selfie and crank up the saturation on the pic. Whatever tone THAT skin is in the pic is what will cover the base dark circles before I put a concealer a shade lighter over it. Its crazy how this works.
Girl I can completely relate, but don't even worry my dark circles are literally ten times worse and I can definitely agree with it being a huge insecurity. Thank you so much for this video.
Your tutorial is so effin' great and simple to follow! I did this for my brother's wedding day and people really thought I had my makeup done by someone else. My dark circles were still a bit visible but not as bad as they are without makeup. It looked waaayyy better and made my look spot-on. I followed this to the core since I also have some crease under my eyes and I just love the effect of your simple techniques. Thank you so muuuccchhh
I think you are beautiful regardless of your dark circles. I have dark circles too & appreciating that it’s common makes it easier as we don’t feel alone in that aspect.
hi, i have the DARKEST DARK CIRCLES EVER i mean it, my under eyes are very deep and dark and you can clearly see my veins thru, and that used to be my biggest insecurity for the longest time, but by the time went by ive learnt to love them and embrace them! they are a very beautiful and interesting imperfection, I think you look so beautiful without any concealer❤️ dark circles have so much personality mmH idk lmao hope everything goes fine bb ly
Omg same situation here! You can see the veins under my eyes they are soo blue its very hard to conceal them you always see it:/ but I learned to embrace it♥️
Sofia Rojo I put a flesh tone eye primer underneath my eyes to smooth out the area and add a little extra coverage while locking down the corrector/concealer all day. I prefer hard candy eye envy because it is a little thicker, blends into the skin really well while disguising fine lines and darkness, just $6 at Walmart too, lol. Holy grail concealer, maybelline age rewind concealer in my skin tone and I am good to go.
Do everything like you exactly step by step and I still have darkness that peaks through! Forever tired and sleep deprived😭😂 love the video and the attention to detail on every step!
I have the worst dark circles also so this video makes me so happy ❤️ also I love that your a straight shooter and don’t bullshit around. It’s a breath of fresh air 🥰
Jacqueline Coppola try using a eye cream or if you can use a moisturiser specifically under your eyes because when the eye area is hydrated it helps with the dryness it used to happen to me as well but since I’ve started moisturising my under eye are I’ve not been having that problem.
Loose powder very finely milled. La mer the powder is fantastic, but from cheaper options Inglot HD Illuminating powder is great also. Apply very lightly with small brush! ;) also i.love putting face oil on my undereye area; really helps!
I have dryness too and the only thing that's helped me be able to use powder at all is spray. After the power is set down and there for 5-10 mins, I spray it all down with any kind of dewy spray. My favorite is Anastasia Beverly Hills Dewy set but things like Mac Fix+ and even(for a cheaper alternative) a Pixi by Petra spray. Really just any makeup spray that's for melting powders and not making makeup stay. The ones that make makeup stay, like Urban Decay All Nighter, are alcohol based and will dry it out more.
Please don’t be so hard on yourself! You’re absolutely adorable. And again thanks for your transparency and helping me and others.and by the way I am old and tired. At 62 I can say that. But.. my point is I’m not too old to Leanne from anyone willing to share. 😁👍🏻🥰
I have searched lot of concealing videos but none of the TH-camrs had dark circles like mine. My eyes are sunken which makes my dark circles (hereditary, like yours) worse. I have crows feet and they combined makes me look sick. I have people come up to me asking if I was sick, depressed or tired. To make it all worse, my skin complexion is much lighter than my dark circles so I couldn't find the right concealer and what products to use to hide them. I don't know if the products you suggested will work or not but I'm glad that you shared this video as I feel the same about mine. Kudos to you!
Absolutely loved that you where able to do this video on your bare face, I learned not just about concealer but about being able to overcome your insecurities to do what you love to do!!… Thank you!! 🌹
You're brave, beautiful & refreshing. I've always had dark circles. Now, in my 50s, I have bags as well, *and* yellow splotches of cholesterol deposits. And lines. It's the perfect storm of undereye woe. I gave up trying to look better a long time ago. I'm going to try your methods, though. Thank you.
I can relate to her, as a guy I also have very dark circles even more so than hers. I am not that good at hiding it, I just use a colored cream and it's working out well enough I only once got asked if I used something on my eyes and got away with telling them I had an allergy and everything was fine. That said she is a genius but I don't really have 25 minutes of time or the expertise to do it as perfectly as her.
Omg literally story of my life! I’ve had hereditary dark circles since I was like 8, and I was always envious of the makeup videos here on TH-cam where people would use the tiniest amount of concealer when they have literally NO dark circles, or even worse, when they have barely anything under their eyes and they cake on the under eye concealer! I can never build my coverage under my eyes cause it always ends up creasing, even with a setting powder :( I feel your struggle girlie
You're beautiful either way imo. By the way, I took a screen grab of one of your videos to my hairdresser because I cannot get over how awesome your hairstyle is. She did a great job too :) Good luck with your procedure.
Just now discovering your channel. This video I appreciate your authenticity. I too have hereditary dark circles. I see pictures of my aunt who were gorgeous and they had the same dark circles I have spent my whole adult life trying to hide. Thank you for sharing these tips and your vulnerability. Much love to you fellow “dark” circle beauty!
I like your tutorial, but I have a question, have you ever tried using concealer with the same shade as your face so the dark circle will be a little bit less highlighted, I mean using the concealer as a “concealer” and not as a highlighter? Do you think it might work?
Dark circles or not, you're still beautiful! I don't think your darkness is awful but it's different when it's something so personal. We are all our own worst enemies. My skin is dry and sensitive so I wish I could wear the Shape Tape but it's just too thick for my under eye.
I know this video is a year old by now, but felt compelled to comment anyway...the reason the orange/peach color works is that it's opposite on the color wheel from the blue tones in your skin, orange and blue are complementary colors and therefore cancel each other out when combined, creating a neutral as would purple/yellow or red/green. Basic color theory.

You are gorgeous with and without makeup!
I don’t think your dark circles aren’t bad!

People Always ask me if I’m sick if I don’t have any concealer on as well!!?? I’ve been happy with results from derma blend concealer
🥴🤔😉
She's gorgeous though 😍
@@kylienova3040 yes, thank you for your reply. Reading your thoughts I fully agree with what your saying as well. Thank you for sharing and adding onto my points❤
@@nessmaroshdi1565 yes she is gorgeous! !

I’m a fellow member of the dark circle squad. 🙋🏼♀️
I’m constantly asked if I’m “tired”. 😩
It’s the worst 😑
Can so relate
And people think I'm wearing eye shadow like girl- 😫
I would love to be asked that. Instead people ask me if I was punched or that I have to go to the doctor because there is CLEARLY something wrong with me. Or people just call me creepy or ugly. I really really hate my skin.
Omg that question is sooo annoying istg
I finally found others like me.
yea, good to know i'm not alone
My dark circles are hereditary also. They're so bad that a woman in a grocery store handed me a domestic abuse hotline number information card 😂. Nope, I just have crazy raccoon eyes.
Omg I guess I’m glad that people are looking out for each other but that’s awkward! 💜💜
I feel you. I used to get asked by every new school counselor or nurse if I was being hit, and my nickname is middle school was "mapache" (raccoon in spanish).
Oh honey :(
Mine are the same though it’s hard 😢
When I don’t get enough sleep, my dark circles can get so bad that some people have asked me if I have black eyes
Same here! So dark!
i earned my dark circles in the depths of mordor
Ha ha, I'll use that phrase when somone asks me if I feel ill (because I couldn't hide my dark circles)! ;D
I love this. I'm stealing this 😂

I can’t believe it took a year for you to get 666. Proud to give that like.
I ruined the 666
My life since I was 10 years old! I’m so glad someone else understands. I’ve always been told “oh you look so tired. Are you ok” without makeup. It’s one of my biggest insecurities. You’re not alone girl!
Ughhhhh, the worst 😠 When people say "You look really tired".."..um thanks, I got like 10 hours of sleep last night"...
Lol same. My mother also has dark under eye circles.
Same
Madi Given same situation
I hate that so much. Ill be feeling good about how I look, then I get "Are you okay?".
I’ve had people ask if my eyeliner is smeared 😭
SAME! OMG
Miranda Yanka 😂
Miranda Yanka mood! And if my eyeliner DOES get smeared, I look like a Tim Burton character
sometimes i think my eyeliner has smeared when its actually just my dark circles so 15 minutes of face cleansing later I just have to face my denial and accept it wasnt the eyeliners fault 😂 my brain is just so used to how i look that when i dont go near a mirror for a while i forget about little flaws
Same!! Sometimes I just put concealer just under my eyes and my eyelids stil dark and some people ask me how did I blend my eye shadow that way 🙂
It is so nice to see someone that is addressing real dark circles. People have pulled me aside to ask if everything was okay, or to say they never realized my husband was the abusive type. No, my husband has never hit me, I just have dark circles that are so bad that they look like two black eyes. You are right, plenty of sleep does not help.
One of our teacher at school have super dark circles and I am 100 percent sure that her husband is abusive😂
& allergies! If they're Vascular dark circles, Tranexamic Acid helps. So does Q10 Vit K & C. Allergies/ rubbing make it worse.. & lack of sleep like you said, for sure!
omg I have dark circles too but my mom says it's "because you play on your ipad"
Lmao
Omg yesss same
Typical mom thing to say “it’s because of that damn phone”
Lmaoo how old are you
Yeah, and she has inherited ones and I had since I was a kid.......

Honestly, I find your dark circles so beautiful and it makes you very attractive ☺️
I agree
It's funny I used to hate mine, and started to embrace them recently... And I wouldn't change them for the world. Most of the VERY attractive celebs have dark circles, if you pay attention... ie Angelina Jolie js.
Exactly
Thank you!

This beautiful young woman was recommended in a comment I saw earlier today of Wayne Goss’s older lady under eye video (don’t we all Love Wayne- another cherub on TH-cam)
When I saw Alexandra’s video avatars I thought No Way can she have circles like mine, she’s fair skinned and bloody flawless, however I’m glad I kept scrolling and found this video.
Plus she’s super gorgeous 😍
Let’s hope it works 🤞🏽
Love Angel xox
When I was 12, my teacher thought I had black eyes because my dark circles were so bad. I haven’t left the house without concealer since I was in junior high. Thank you so much for your videos. I still have issues with my concealer making my skin look grey. I’ve not seen another makeup blogger who really really understands and explains how to deal with this issue like you do. Thank you thank you 🙏
I swear when I did have a tiny bruise under my eyebrow it made my dark circles so much worse
This is the first video that truly helped me since 8 years of watching TH-cam

I've had the same problem. Hereditary dark circles and I HATE them so so much.
Girl, I'm looking at your profile pic and I don't see any dark circles...you are absolutely beautiful! Whatever you're doing, it works!!
Lisa, you're so pretty tho😫
Me too
Wondering what (not super expensive) eye cream...mine is like dry, wrinkles or something... i have no clue bc i feel ive tried every type of concealer.
Thank you for allowing yourself to be vulnerable to help us fellow dark circle sufferers.
Mmmm I like this! I have to play around, maybe I'll try it today 🧐 Thanks for the tip babe! 😘
❤️
Alice B thanks going to try this xx
Wow I'm gonna try this! Thanks!
I am very insecure about my dark circles too.
I am seriously self conscious about my entire face and body. 🙄😱😭🤧
“It’s a little yellow, but i think itll be okay” literally me with every foundation.. not quite right but itll work 🤷🏻♀️
We can only get as close as we can 😂
I love this video. Im almost 50 and this has been my biggest insecurity forever as well, very dark circles and sunken eyes. Ive never been really into makeup but as I age the circles are way worse. This video was really helpful, I learned a lot. Thank you for this 💕

Girl, you beautiful - the darker shade gives your eyes a natural depth, brings out the green colour in your eyes! Embrace it man xox
You just got yourself a subscriber at LAST a human with fair skin but dark under eyes it seems like something you don't see everyday on youtube thank you so much this video is literally a life saver you just fixed the reputation of color correctors LOL
one sarah because most have already concealed and filters and lights blur a lot out. Fair skin and bad under eyes seems to go hand and hand.☹️

My undereyes have a blue undertone plus I have tiny blue veins showing through....sooo a peachy orange concealer would do a job for me🤷♂️
I think a yellow-based one would conceal them, as far as i read somewhere else
There are color correctors for that!
Yeah it’s all about complimentary colors, orange tones neutralize blue tones etc.
my veins are dark blue and big, i cant even hide them with makeup anymore
lilmeowerz makeup doesn’t cover mine either, just tone them down a bit. Also I have recently heard a lot of comments on the veins on my body. #veinpositivity

Thank uuu for ur bravery. People like me (who are looking to conceal dark circles) really appreciate it 🙏
Looks Vascular like mine.
Also, eye rubbing can make it all worss,so treat allergies & break that habit if you do this, like I definitely do.
um okay she's actually PERFECT I wish
you are so gorgeous even with no makeup.

EXACTLY. You're my new favorite person. Thanks girl, I appreciate this comment ❤️
THANK YOU SOMEONE SAID IT FINALLY
There is no need to talk for 17 minutes about shit that has nothing to do with what this video is about. She goes onto apply about eight different products! LMAO. For fucks sake anyone can cover up their dark circles with one or two products and take about 30 seconds to do it.

Pls don't think I'm boastful or anything here, because I'm actually trying to explain how my dark circles affect me😅
When I dont wear makeup, I have people asking if I'm sick or on drugs! 😂
My dark circles are the bane of my beauty existence 😩
I feel ya 😩
T Zinot me too😥
T Zinot I would be still searching for a product had I not found Maybelline age rewind concealer.

My dark circles have spread to my cheekbones with age. Before as well as after, you look really cool, and this is a great tutorial.
I use a dab, of rosehip oil under my eyes before concealer, especially when i use Shape tape so it doesn’t dry me out!
Thankyou.
Me too!!!! It’s the worst I’ve tried millions of serums and eye creams to help. Nada. Finally someone with the same issues!
I can 💯 relate with having dark circles since I was a little girl. Never easy to show it to the world so glad you filmed this ❤️
your entire dark circles series has been a REVELATION and i thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
You're stunning!
Oh & you're beautiful with & without makeup on 😘
Thank you so much Julianne!
You’re absolutely stunning without makeup 😍

They are not that bad Alexandra, and totally not obvious because of your natural beauty which absolutely shines. If the procedure will make you feel better then I hope it does exactly what you want it too - but you are gorgeous anyway xx
Thank you so much love!
Thank you.
Strange tip but hear me out:
I take a barefaced selfie and crank up the saturation on the pic.
Love!! Your step by step instructions and attention to detail are amazing! This is one of the best videos about under eye coverage! Thank you!
Seeing people who have no under eye circles are almost as majestic in my eyes as a Unicorn would be.
Bless your honesty ❤️
I have the same issue and big thumbs up for this video 😘😘😘
Thank you love!
hi, i have the DARKEST DARK CIRCLES EVER i mean it, my under eyes are very deep and dark and you can clearly see my veins thru, and that used to be my biggest insecurity for the longest time, but by the time went by ive learnt to love them and embrace them! they are a very beautiful and interesting imperfection, I think you look so beautiful without any concealer❤️ dark circles have so much personality mmH idk lmao hope everything goes fine bb ly
Sofia 😩 you're amazing! I hope you feel as comfortable with them as you do some day! ❤️
Alexandra Anele if you want to get rid of them just use vaseline over night for about 1 week. It works for me
Iva Miklavci
Forever tired and sleep deprived😭😂 love the video and the attention to detail on every step!
you are literally so beautiful and your dark circles don't make you look less beautiful at all I think, thanks for the tutorial
I have the worst dark circles also so this video makes me so happy ❤️ also I love that your a straight shooter and don’t bullshit around. It’s a breath of fresh air 🥰
I have the same problem with my dark circles. They’re horrible
...orange corrector is my best friend
I'm definitely glad I started using it!
When I set with powder my under eye area it gets so dry!!!
Jacqueline Coppola try using a eye cream or if you can use a moisturiser specifically under your eyes because when the eye area is hydrated it helps with the dryness it used to happen to me as well but since I’ve started moisturising my under eye are I’ve not been having that problem.
Faiza Saeed thanks
Just don't uply it on in a swiping motion instead press gentely and using a small amount good luck 😀❤
Just so you know...I think you’re genuinely beautiful without your makeup...there is no need to hide your “flaws”...they are not flaws at all...☺️
Please don’t be so hard on yourself!
Seeing your face somehow reminds of Cersei Lannister with your short beautiful hair, which means you're so pretty 😊
GIRL MINES ARE WORSE.i have bags along w dark circles.
Cute.
SAME
I can’t even remember the amount of times when people asked if I’m sick just because the saw me with no makeup on
Absolutely loved that you where able to do this video on your bare face, I learned not just about concealer but about being able to overcome your insecurities to do what you love to do!!…
Thank you!!
Aww, I hope you love your new cut! Thank you so much, it went very well 😋
Just now discovering your channel.
Why do I find them so beautiful. They add this beautiful character and depth to your face. It’s gorgeous
I like your tutorial, but I have a question, have you ever tried using concealer with the same shade as your face so the dark circle will be a little bit less highlighted, I mean using the concealer as a “concealer” and not as a highlighter? Do you think it might work?
Despise my dark circles I’m constantly asked by my friends and family if I’m tired or sick when I go without makeup after wearing it for a while.
Dark circles or not, you're still beautiful! I don't think your darkness is awful but it's different when it's something so personal. We are all our own worst enemies. My skin is dry and sensitive so I wish I could wear the Shape Tape but it's just too thick for my under eye.
It's true, it would be life changing if we could see ourselves the way others do ❤️
I know this video is a year old by now, but felt compelled to comment anyway...the reason the orange/peach color works is that it's opposite on the color wheel from the blue tones in your skin, orange and blue are complementary colors and therefore cancel each other out when combined, creating a neutral as would purple/yellow or red/green. Basic color theory.
