I did work experience in that building when I was at School. It was the Bernat Klein Studio initially then was used by the Scottish Borders Enterprise as a studio for design and innovation in textiles. Really sad to see how quickly a great building can become derelict. It always felt really special.
Thank you for witnessing and sharing. A profoundly tragic sight to see it neglected and vandalised like this. To think this unique award winning building by the architect Peter Womersley has been left neglected and open to the elements and mindless thieves is shameful. Terry I passed the same place a week after & it is sealed up tight now, it is without a doubt a unique property but unfortunately being left to decay as it has been & it sadly being destroyed by mindless individuals left it in the state that it was
