    It's cool to see one of these in action for cloth diapering! We use coin operated laundry for our cloth diapers (with 2 babies in cloth diapers!) so I've been looking into buying one of these! Thanks for the video!

      I have a similar washing machine for either really dirty 9 year old boy clothes or for my cloth feminine hygiene products. I had already decided it would be perfect for cloth diapers too.

    You should use the final rinse water for the first rinse of your next load of diapers. Saves time and water, and they'll probably be even cleaner because of the soap and bleach residue in the water.

    My baby is 13 years out of cloth nappies lol but I use my portable washer to wash my cloth sanitary towels (as well as all my other clothes!).. I add bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to the wash and then vinegar to the rinse also to disinfect them! You don't need much!
    Vinegar is also great for softening other clothes as a replacement for softener and bicarb works well for bleaching!
    Just some eco friendly alternatives 😁
    I have a normal household front-loader washing machine but prefer using the portable one as it saves on time, electricity, detergent and water, plus it's a lot friendlier to clothes! 💚💚

I am not good with water i can see myself spilling it all over the kitchen floor. Great video!😊💗 I used cotton diapers for 8mths but was to sick to continue so used pampers diapers after. I could've used this machine back then 29.5yrs ago. 💗 they grow up fast! Enjoy every day with the babies!😊💗

    you might actually be able to fit more diapers in there, if you can push down and theres more than 2 to 3 inches of water then u still have room! this washer works like a HE so it needs clothing friction against one another to clean so remember that.

    I wish my faucet opening was small enough to fit a turkey baster! I have a fancy schmancy one that is really big at the end and the end is actually a sprayer nozzle that you can pull out too. Im in a rental so I can't just change it. I was thinking i can detach the end, it unscrews and the tube is pretty narrow. I don't have little ones anymore but this video may have convinced me that i could have used cloth diapers. It looks so easy. I just had a hard time thinking of 💩 in my washer. I would have a machine that I only dedicated for diapers in that case.

    Hi, Erica, I was glad to see that you didn't cram the washer to overfull with the diapers or whatever you would wash. I have cringed when watching some other videos of people using this same machine. They have stuffed as much adult-size clothing in there as I would put into a normal sized washing machine. The clothes can't possibly move around in the water to be cleaned well, and it's hard on the little machine. I'm wondering if that may be the reason that some are having trouble with their machine breaking down not long after they start using it. Just a few things at a time and you don't have to set the timer for so long and things will be nice and clean. You don't even have to let the water out each time, just do something next that it wouldn't matter.....like socks ,dust cloths etc. I don't throw reasonably clean water away. You did a great video, I enjoyed it a lot, and you do a good job washing baby's diapers. Good mommy! The baster was such a smart idea.......leave it to a woman, right? :]

    Thank you for the great idea with respect to the turkey baster. I have a question what is it that you have the washer sitting on ? That is my problem. I have one sitting on a folding table which makes it very loud. I could use the same set up as you I think if I could figure that out. Also when you are filling it up how long does it take you to fill up the washer with that small hose

I’m due with my first in a couple days and we live in an apartment so we got this exact portable washer and are planning on cloth diapering! This was so helpful. Can you tell me how long it takes for the cloth diapers to fully dry once you hang them? And how much detergent do you use?? Another question…when you do the 2 soap cycles, do you use the same water?

    • @4165erica
      @4165erica  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey so there's a line that you are supposed to fill it up to... and the clothes tend to soak up some of the water causing you to overfill it. I tried doing that but had to drain some of the water during the cycle cuz it was splashing. But thats just me... do whatever works best for! 🙂

    Hi, I was wondering if you still have the machine. I recently purchased one and when using for the first time, noticed there was something like a "spark" underneath the washing timer dial (it can be see only when the lights are off). Then it died. The seller refunded me and everything and I decided to give it another try, so I ordered a second one that I just tried a moment ago... it does the same thing!! So, I just wanted to know if I should be concerned of this one also dying on me or if it is something normal...

    • @couizataylor1229
      @couizataylor1229 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No they will die with bleach alone. You can sun bleach them for stains but the diapers you do not put in the dryer it ruins the elastics on the diapers and basically brakes them down. You can dry the inserts though.

    Hi! I have this very machine on the way to me. I'm wondering if you can tell me if your machine is still in working order? As I read through more and more reviews, I am becoming nervous, because, it appears after a month or two (sometimes less) either the motor to the agitator goes or the spinner (reading more about the spinner than the agitator) stops working completely. Thanks in advance.
