What is the benchmark discussed here, for momentum index. It cannot be N50?

Anoop, I've heard that Momentum investing works best in bull runs. In the current volatile sideways market, will Momentum investing continue to work? What's the theory/your experience been?

It can work in sideways markets too. Current market performance (3month, 6month as of 28 May 2024) is better than the index at 7% in 3 month versus 3.5% for index. But there is no reason to say it will always work of course. Just that there are enough instances where it works even in volatile markets.

Could you add more on the IFSC gift city investing product that was referred to in the episode?

It will take a few more months to start. Will be useful for institutions, people who aren't from India, NRIs that find it difficult to come directly in India etc.
