A follow-up video on, "Which pity-breakers have aged the best?" would be interesting. Some got some pretty decent refines at this point. Maybe it could wait until Melady and Echidna gets their refines. Silque for example got a pretty great refine, now getting pity-broken by her doesn't feel so bad. Actually a decent merge project at this point.
I really like niime as a character and I was hella annoyed that they didnt give her a dragon effective tomb or something. That being said i think her fodder outside of her Prf tomb (calling it that cause there’s no way thats getting inherited anytime soon to anyone besides H!Xane) as with F!F!Byleth starting the distant solo trend there might be some good use out of her inheritance (even if other units can inherit the same thing but easier) and menace like you said still has some usage. Do really wish they made Niime good though, waited for her for years and she’s always hyped up to be this really cool and strong mage, just to come by with one of the worst tombs in the game but some pretty good skills.
Luke is unironically decent if you slap dull close on him for his refine effect to always work. I did some abyssals with him, also his voice lines are SOUL
I only got one or two Adachi- er, Pythons as a pity-breaker, but (especially after being in the HoF) I'm glad I built him up; he's one of my best ranged cavalry units.
I wouldn't mind being pity broken by Niime. Though I guess we will wait for her refine. But that will take what, a year or two minimum? But man I am sad that no one from Elibe's potential dark mages got Apocalypse. Probably the coolest tome animation in all of Fire Emblem.
I'd like to bring up Rennac as an awful pitybreaker A slot is outdated, and disarm trap is literally a useless skill outside of AR, and has even lost alot of value now due to traps it doesn't work on. Ontop of Cath being added right around the same time as just a straight up better choice due to ease of merges.

While I do agree that IS holds onto alot of units for far longer than needed, Silque has more value from the dazzling staff 3 skill. Since inheriting is stuck at 4, you could only get either the B or the Weapon fully. I've never truly been pity-broken, but that's because i have had uses for all the units i've pulled: merges or inheritance are the usual end point. The other thing is that IS refuses to move certain Tier 3 skills to the 3-4 star pool: Solo is one of the best examples of this as the only 4-stars that come with the tier 3 are seasonal demotes. Niime is fine for what she is: they just have to experiment with Colorless Tomes more. As a last thought, I do think it's depressingly funny that demotes are no better than year 1-2 (maybe certain 3s) 5-stars: No PRF (in most cases); no big specials; a highly sought after tier 3 being locked behind the 5-star rating, and a demote tier-3 being either a dead-end skill (Sylvain's Spur Atk/Def) or a skill that existed on another unit (Bridal Flavia's Rouse Atk/ Spd was already on Hans)
The fact that everyone but me was able to get him as a five star unit until MUCH later post permanent demote makes me sad since I'm still on a drought for him. _(Also: Never going to forgive I.S. for shafting my best tiger boi that badly with his base kit. Still will make him the best I can, but still...)_

I got Lilina to +6 back in the day from pity breaks alone. And it was always when I was around 5%+ pity rate because of course it was. Weirdly enough, she kinda became one of my favorite units since she hard carried me through early Aether Raids with a -Blade tome and Vantage set with her high attack stat
I remember being pity broken by Merric, Mordecai, Titania, and Altena. Altena broke me so often, she's the one unit I hate the most. I know she's 3 and 4 now, but they time I summon her I continue to get a flash of anger for being broken before I remember she can't break me anymore.

And finally got one Guinevere at like 5%... And stopped after that. She was the only real good unit so I sparked her, but wanted another copy. Man... luckily I never got a 5☆ Merlinus. I woulda been so mad if I did. I know many people did and it was probably so frustrating because he was literally the worst 5☆ unit to come out in the history of Feh. Hands down. I think the tactic skills where pretty good when they came out, as an hone user. The 2 range made them much better to use, and i was using a mixed movement type team. The biggest problem with them was panic

I've been broken by Innes twice and gotten him from the 4 star special rate at least once, maybe twice. He's gone home every time. My least favourite pity breaker I've ever gotten by far.
In my case, I think the only common pitybreaker I had fas F! F! Corrin. Got one from her banner, then obtained 5 random copies. Then she was changed to the modified 4 star pool, got 2 more. Then the forma came and said "F it". Then the arena changes came at the same time as the refine. So I finally +10 her.
I think Merric was my first 5 star unit day 1, and he was actually really useful at the time because he had a higher defense. Back then, Takumi was everywhere, and Merric was my counter.
i somehow got Academy Edelgard as a pity breaker when she would appear in the special 4% rate 5 times and now i got a +10 Edelgard and she HURTS like hell, just need some good fodder for her to shine
It was weird seeing how much people hated getting pity-broken by Luke. He's a character I like a fair bit and it felt ironic in a kind of sad way how unpopular he was, especially when a big part of his character is about how he wants to be appreciated for who he is rather than being a replacement for someone else.
Niime gave her stuff to my Arena bonus Reinhardt and he kept me in tier 21 a couple of weeks ago haha You could do a list of the worst 4* Special one could get by the Arena tickets! The Red pool is stacked in this category haha Luke, Siegbert, everyone is there.
Red is too dangerous. I always avoid it like the plague, until the time I got a full red circle and I couldn't escape. My pull was arguably the most useless from the whole 4 star special pool: Karel. He was even -atk.

Pity broken at 5.25% by the ever-power crept, Obsidian Duessel. It was on the recent Flame Emperor Edelgard banner. What makes it worse is that Duessel also broke my pity for the Fodlan Star Byleth rerun.
i will always hate base Hinoka for pity breaking me on both my main account and my 2nd account. she was always pity breaking me. even now, if i get her, i send her home. ive always hated Hinoka and her alts
The thing is, every unit that was bad was bad despite their skills before SI. Nowadays sure, some units are bad but you can definitely still use them as fodder. Back then however... Edit: I made it sound like it was a long time before SI and it really wasn't lol, but still, at launch... Oof.
Yeah, the initial days of Heroes, pretty much the healers were considered the worst pity breakers (however the irony for me is that the Sakura I got as a pity breaker was the unit that helped me to stop being stuck in those days in the story and I still consisntelty use her... even if she doesn't offer that much nowdays as I have her mostly for healing here and there or some cheap damage with poison type skills or pain attack... but I'm pretty much outdated in the meta and such as I had to stop play the game due to mobile hour time issues that makes it a pain to handle my current mobile).
Yeah, i rembember getting my pitty broken by Leanne, and the first time was good, like, new unit, but the next 2 were not so good and made me not pulling for grey units for a long time. On another note, i'm very surprised you put Fallen Tiki, but yeah, you have a point, not worst unit, but definetly the least valuable. On a funny side, i just got my fourth Fallen Tiki, so now i can do Røkkr Sieges with a blindfold thanks to 4 of them with Aether.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Sue,Ewan and Lugh from gen3 and Hubert from gen4. Gen 3 was the time IS was very stingy with their demotes and would do whatever it takes to make even shitty units like them 5 star locked units by giving them either a shitty Tier 4 skill(Who USES HONES SPEED 4???) and just a rally+(the number of times I got Ranulfs is endless), or niche skills almost nobody uses(Sabotage for Ewan,and whatever is Hubert's C skill)
At least Hubert is now a good support unit with his refine. I run him as an offensive rally support with Rally Atk/Spd+ and Spd Feint so he can penalize all stats and inflict multiple status effects on cardinal foes.
I remember hating whenever Sanaki pity broke me since Lilina is my favorite fe character and they serve similar functions making a +1 or +2 Sanaki useless compared to my +10 Lilina. "Wow, this is worthless" describes my reaction every time I got her. Luckily, it wasn't more then 3 times.

"Neimi hits hard I guess" As someone who played Sacred Stones, that's probably the best thing you can say about her (as a unit, she's fine as a character)
I got pity broken by Leif so many times despite never trying to get him the best example I can think is the PA Hoshido banner I was trying to get Micaiah but instead I got two Leif, Karel, Male Morgan, and Grey so I tried to get her again the next year to see Leif again

Calling Niime a bad pitybreak is just so weird? Like genuinely, esp. when she came out her fodder was like, absolutely good enough. Atk/Res Menace is a really good skill? Atk/Res Solo was never great but it was still good enough filler on mages. I would way sooner call out Wolf is easily so so so much worse, especially now. Life and Death 4 is his only premium skill and that's a really bad skill except for speedy AoE builds which aren't even meta anymore. Also, both Ascendant Joshua and Celica have pretty terrible fodder and are pretty much only good for merges after their floret is nabbed
I remember back then getting breaked by a Merric at a very high rate, demolished to base rates and I raged about it so hard Also I just made a Luke +10 so atleast he is decent (he isnt but I like him)

I never really minded if I got pity broken by a unit I didn't have but Siegbert was the worst for me, I got him to +10 and continued to get another 3 copies of him before he got demoted.

Honestly the unit i would say was worst to get in the beginning for red would be Ogma. Spur Attack and Defiant Attack were never useful especially when Drives and Brazens came out within a year. Plus I just really dont like his art which makes it even worse to jave pulled him.
I got like 4 pity breaker Siegberts at the time, he won't go away, even now I already got a Siegbert with arena tickets. Also Quann, I got like 5 and ended up foddering him to random units (because I don't care about arena).
i have summoned gregor 4 seperate times. i have not tried going for him once i dont know where he keeps coming from and hes like my least favourite awakening character.
If I had to say something positive about Neimi, it would be that I briefly considered foddering off a copy of her to my Halloween Hector for Spd/Res Bond 4 (I run a speedy Near Save build on him and that was the best A skill I could give him that gave Spd), but I ended up keeping V!Gustav’s Close Def 4.

Atk/Res fodder is pretty decent, and as for fallen tiki, she can be used as a stepping stone for special fighter 4 fodder, if you have it.
I unironically like Menace skills for being a brainless 300 SP C slot so all my colorless being Niime would be an upgrade from what I already get

Jaffar was my personal bane of pity breakers. At no point have I summoned for Jaffar. My Jaffar is +8. He just wont leave me alone

Pity broken at 5.25% by the ever-power crept, Obsidian Duessel. It was on the recent Flame Emperor Edelgard banner. What makes it worse is that Duessel also broke my pity for the Fodlan Star Byleth rerun.
i will always hate base Hinoka for pity breaking me on both my main account and my 2nd account. she was always pity breaking me. even now, if i get her, i send her home. ive always hated Hinoka and her alts
The thing is, every unit that was bad was bad despite their skills before SI. Nowadays sure, some units are bad but you can definitely still use them as fodder. Back then however...

Yeah, the initial days of Heroes, pretty much the healers were considered the worst pity breakers (however the irony for me is that the Sakura I got as a pity breaker was the unit that helped me to stop being stuck in those days in the story and I still consisntelty use her... even if she doesn't offer that much nowdays as I have her mostly for healing here and there or some cheap damage with poison type skills or pain attack... but I'm pretty much outdated in the meta and such as I had to stop play the game due to mobile hour time issues that makes it a pain to handle my current mobile).
Yeah, i rembember getting my pitty broken by Leanne, and the first time was good, like, new unit, but the next 2 were not so good and made me not pulling for grey units for a long time. On another note, i'm very surprised you put Fallen Tiki, but yeah, you have a point, not worst unit, but definetly the least valuable. On a funny side, i just got my fourth Fallen Tiki, so now i can do Røkkr Sieges with a blindfold thanks to 4 of them with Aether.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Sue,Ewan and Lugh from gen3 and Hubert from gen4. Gen 3 was the time IS was very stingy with their demotes and would do whatever it takes to make even shitty units like them 5 star locked units by giving them either a shitty Tier 4 skill(Who USES HONES SPEED 4???) and just a rally+(the number of times I got Ranulfs is endless), or niche skills almost nobody uses(Sabotage for Ewan,and whatever is Hubert's C skill)
At least Hubert is now a good support unit with his refine. I run him as an offensive rally support with Rally Atk/Spd+ and Spd Feint so he can penalize all stats and inflict multiple status effects on cardinal foes.

I remember hating whenever Sanaki pity broke me since Lilina is my favorite fe character and they serve similar functions making a +1 or +2 Sanaki useless compared to my +10 Lilina. "Wow, this is worthless" describes my reaction every time I got her. Luckily, it wasn't more then 3 times.

I got pity broken by Leif so many times despite never trying to get him the best example I can think is the PA Hoshido banner I was trying to get Micaiah but instead I got two Leif, Karel, Male Morgan, and Grey so I tried to get her again the next year to see Leif again

Calling Niime a bad pitybreak is just so weird? Like genuinely, esp. when she came out her fodder was like, absolutely good enough. Atk/Res Menace is a really good skill? Atk/Res Solo was never great but it was still good enough filler on mages. I would way sooner call out Wolf is easily so so so much worse, especially now. Life and Death 4 is his only premium skill and that's a really bad skill except for speedy AoE builds which aren't even meta anymore. Also, both Ascendant Joshua and Celica have pretty terrible fodder and are pretty much only good for merges after their floret is nabbed
F For 5* Mordy, tho I would say he was kinda useful at that time for his weapon giving some stats

I'm surprised I never got a 5☆ Thea on Iðunn/Sue's banner. I summoned a ton on that banner back then and bought the $80 pack and spent them all on it. I got an Idunn with +HP/-Spd, and a Sue, possibly a Lugh. My Iðunn is like almost +10 now and my Sue is like +3?
I never really minded if I got pity broken by a unit I didn't have but Siegbert was the worst for me, I got him to +10 and continued to get another 3 copies of him before he got demoted.
Arthur from the Green Colour is another good choice for terrible pity breakers. He doesn't really provide anything at all.

Honestly the unit i would say was worst to get in the beginning for red would be Ogma. Spur Attack and Defiant Attack were never useful especially when Drives and Brazens came out within a year. Plus I just really dont like his art which makes it even worse to jave pulled him.
I got like 4 pity breaker Siegberts at the time, he won't go away, even now I already got a Siegbert with arena tickets. Also Quann, I got like 5 and ended up foddering him to random units (because I don't care about arena).

i have summoned gregor 4 seperate times. i have not tried going for him once i dont know where he keeps coming from and hes like my least favourite awakening character.
If I had to say something positive about Neimi, it would be that I briefly considered foddering off a copy of her to my Halloween Hector for Spd/Res Bond 4 (I run a speedy Near Save build on him and that was the best A skill I could give him that gave Spd), but I ended up keeping V!Gustav’s Close Def 4.
