I remember when 2 of my friends and I were playing this game together (we would switch off when we got killed) and my friend got to the end of the trager sequence, all he had to was go to the elevator but he ran out of batteries so he went into the bathroom area to grab some, thinking it was clear. All of a sudden in the pitch black silence was “BUDDY!!!” And the chase music came on and we all screamed and were freaking out and he ended up being killed in the bathroom. One of the best/scariest/funniest moments I have ever had in a horror game.
Eddie Gluskin will forever stay more creepy and traumatising than any other villain we have ever seen. Just goes to show the most unnerving terror comes not from the unknown, the giants or paranormal but the ones with twisted minds. Dishonorable mention goes to the crazy witch Marta in Outlast 2. Her screams when spotting you and the execution of cutting and making a gash through the players groin is agonising to look at
For me eddie gluskin didnt have any impact as chris walker and dr trager. A security guard still active on his duty to maintain order but in a twisted way just got to me.
I think people like the games for other reasons, too. Wow, I really didn’t think this would go anywhere, but out of all my comments, this one appealed to more than people than any other. Thank you.

After replaying the Trager part it looks like Miles is the most scared of him, even when seeing Walrider he doesn't pant so much and go THAT crazy, but when he sees Trager or even worse when he start chasing him Miles loses his shit.

It was a Murkoff employee who wore a buttoned shirt with slacks. Still don't believe? Ok remember in chapter 2 the prison chapter, when you were looking for a keycard? You find the keycard on a security guard at the prison cells. At the prison cell area you can see Chris rip off a Murkoff employee's head and walk away, leaving the paitents to live.
Fun tip for certain enemies when you’re running from either Marta The school demon Trager or Chris Walker do not look behind you they are always way closer than you think they are
Oh yea it’s easy to speed run outlast 1 because it’s predictable and you’re always in the same setting which only has one method to get through it. I did a speed run on the hardest mode some years ago and did it in like an hour because I played it so much. But outlast 2? Fuck that shit I played it twice and now I won’t touch it because I’ll only play it in the day time and when my heart is reading to start pumping again.

Chris Walker is terrifying to me, just because i’ve never been a fan of antagonists who were the strong fat kind. I love their design and I think they’re cool characters but they just creep me out. Regardless, I think the Outlast franchise has produced the best antagonist, definitely most likable for me.
To me, it reminded me of the scene in Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. It’s similar to what happened to Nancy in the first movie. Maybe Red Barrels got inspiration from the Freddy Krueger movies.
Mannn, i actually feel bad for Eddie, he IS the most disturbing character in this game for me tho, but i feel like he has a tragic back story that made him like that, you can literally see that he loved that SOMEONE he assumed you who to be🥺
The thing that makes the first outlast much scarier to me is the fact that it's 1. Indoors, and 2. The main antagonist are just a bunch of insane people who have nothing else to eat but you.
For me, Chris is one of my favorites. The others are Trager, Eddie, Silky variant (even though he’s not hostile), Dennis (he has multiple personalities), the Twins and Frank. Also Pyromaniac.
This series is such a masterpiece. I never thought I'd love survival horror so much. I just really hope I dont have to get a different console to play trials

Chris Walker: scary because of the inhuman strength he has and he's sounds. Dr Trager: Scary because of he's lack of human emotions and for be an amateur surgeon. Frank Manera: Scary because of he's buzzsaw and the fact that he's a cannibal. Gluskin: Scary because of the way he looks the things he saw and as like every other antagonist on the Outlast series the things he could do to you if he catch you. Marta: Scary because of how tall she is and the amount of respect and terror she brings to you. Also because she runs faster than you. The demon (Father Loutermich) : The anxiety of he's music and also because he can insta-kill you (and he's horrible form) Nick & Laird: Scary because Laird can shoot at you at a long distance and Nick can insta-kill you. Also if they kill you their going to eat your body in "holy communion". Val: Scary because she wants to rape you also the sounds she makes aren't the most plesant thing in the game. That's my personnal list of why I think these antagonist are so scary.

Speedrunning Outlast 2 is almost impossible since that game has stamina and Enemy AI is extremely smart compared to Outlast 1.
Oh yea it’s easy to speed run outlast 1 because it’s predictable and you’re always in the same setting which only has one method to get through it. I did a speed run on the hardest mode some years ago and did it in like an hour because I played it so much. But outlast 2? Fuck that shit I played it twice and now I won’t touch it because I’ll only play it in the day time and when my heart is reading to start pumping again.

Chris Walker is terrifying to me, just because i’ve never been a fan of antagonists who were the strong fat kind. I love their design and I think they’re cool characters but they just creep me out.
Regardless, I think the Outlast franchise has produced the best antagonist, definitely most likable for me.

Mannn, i actually feel bad for Eddie, he IS the most disturbing character in this game for me tho, but i feel like he has a tragic back story that made him like that, you can literally see that he loved that SOMEONE he assumed you who to be🥺

The thing that makes the first outlast much scarier to me is the fact that it's 1. Indoors, and 2. The main antagonist are just a bunch of insane people who have nothing else to eat but you.

Chris Walker: “Fat and Scary” makes it sound like a resume.
PhD in Murder and torture 😂😂
Chris Walker: scary because of the inhuman strength he has and he's sounds.
Dr Trager: Scary because of he's lack of human emotions and for be an amateur surgeon.
Frank Manera: Scary because of he's buzzsaw and the fact that he's a cannibal.
Gluskin: Scary because of the way he looks the things he saw and as like every other antagonist on the Outlast series the things he could do to you if he catch you.
Marta: Scary because of how tall she is and the amount of respect and terror she brings to you. Also because she runs faster than you.
The demon (Father Loutermich) : The anxiety of he's music and also because he can insta-kill you (and he's horrible form)
Nick & Laird: Scary because Laird can shoot at you at a long distance and Nick can insta-kill you. Also if they kill you their going to eat your body in "holy communion".
Val: Scary because she wants to rape you also the sounds she makes aren't the most plesant thing in the game.
That's my personnal list of why I think these antagonist are so scary.
And the demon has that one horrible jumpscare

Chris Walker and eddie gluskin have to be my favorite out of them all I like eddie mainly storywise but chris on the other hand I love just any time his on screen honestly especially his dialogue dude when chris is stalking you through the dark and he just says "you don't have to hide from me". "I'm coming you won't have to kill yourself". Still gives me chills to this day. And well come on. dialogue wise for eddie we all know why we love this creepy ass guy that wonderful lubumchuis iconic "DARLING".

I want more of a exorcism type game for the next Outlast. Remember when the Walrider picked up Big Pig and tossed him around like a teddy bear? I was getting demonic vibes from that. I feel like there should be an aspect of demons and shadows and possessions in at least One Outlast game.
