Once you get T29 and it's your first tier 7. It really changes your expectations of what hull down really is.

Hehe, i remember the time on PC, when the T29‘s Mickey Mouse ears were actual weak spots…
The minuteman does have a very long reload and it is INCREDIBLY slow. 22 deg traverse for turret and tracks is PAINFUL. Also has a 13.7 second reload, only 1400 dpm, and an ABYSMAL 350m view range. Trading all of that for armor is not worth it. It is a great looking tank, and powerful when hull down tho.
Great video. Love that tank. I don't think the Minuteman is a "Mercenary" tank, but I just picked it up for free XP. I've been told it's play style is a bit different and would love to see a video on it.
The turret is above that tier and much better that many, many tier 8 heavies. This tank is really good. It of the few heavy tanks that can fight higher tiers in the right hands.
As someone who has played the game on PC for almost 10 years and was recommended this video by the almighty algorithm, I find it fascinating how different the console version is from the one I know. It looks a like a completely different game. The UI, vehicles, and map designs are almost entirely alien to me.
Ya it was very similar until they dropped update 6.0 a while back, it changed everything. Most for the worse😢
I have the t29, slapjack, and the minuteman. The mm was good before 6.0, it had capabale armor, now it's trash. From the three tanks, I like the slapjack more because of the gun, the 88 mm it's one of the best at tier 7. At least 3k damage per battle is the norm for it :)
T29 is where you should stop the grind. T32 is a pain train and the 103 and E5 are old school tanks that stopped being competitive many years ago.

I would disagree on the E5, that thing rocks and can have excellent games with that armor and gun. The 103 is not bad if you know how to play it, but it does need a touch of "love".
I think tier for tier, it has one of the best gun mantles in the game. I kept mine and sometimes play it for the memories.
One of the VERY few TT tanks I've actually kept in my garage... hard to quantify, but its one of the few tanks that just FEELS right. Consistent perfomer even for less than skilled players and a good way for those players to "git gud", lol
I once blocked over 8k dmg in this tank. Now, think, tier 7 tank in tier 8 battle. How many shots do you block to accumulate 8k dmg? Lots!

Yeah team, worthless as usual, but you had a great game and I love my 29. Only problem is that when facing Tier IX's, which you WILL 8 out of 10 times, you get shredded, armor amounts to nothing, and that is why this game really struggles, +2/-2.
But, if you want a great heavy to play and you understand what hull down means, you will love this thing.
T29 is my favorite tank, I quit playing console 3 years ago and recently started playing again. I have been playing it to get my 3rd mark of excellence since I didn't really concentrate on that but it stays in my garage, because of everything you mentioned in this video. I also paid for the same skin it looks so amazing with it.

T29 is great. That 'Murica skin that looks like a circus on tracks is hideous. It's a nice looking tank without it.
The gorynch kv5 I'm not sure if they buff the accuracy on the move but it seems to be extremely good besides the poor pen I just rush everything in that tank shooting and tracking them while on the move. But I don't have the t29 but I have the big brother tho t34😅👌🏾
Always loved the T29 although I preferred the 90 mm gun and shoot gold from it. Haven't played WW2 in months as I went CW strictly but maybe I will dust off the old girl and give her a go 1 more time.

Aston Rex can really pump you, but moment its 5 shots are done it is a sitting duck. I may or may not have learned that the hard way while using it
Well yeah the Aston Rex is a tier higher than the T29. A lot of tier 8's can "pump" it up! "Pump, Pump, Pump it up"!
Russian/Chinese 122mm guns at the same tier can over match the top of T29 Turret while it's hull down. Pro tip kids.
