Bridgit Mendler was literally my entire childhood. I was so sad that we don't get that much update from her. And yet i was surprised she took a break from acting to pursue a college degree which is amazing. I'm rooting for her success, i hope we get to see her in music and movies someday again because i think she's so talented
She also had R&B and soul inspiration for her album, more than just 'rap verses' on one song. Someone when she was recording asked her to rap those lines instead so she did and they all decided to keep it, she said it in an interview somewhere :) I'm glad you mentioned she was involved with production. I'm happy she didn't want to take the same pop route and do it like every wannabe big popstar (a lot of girls who sign with Disney's label are like that unfortunately.... they're aware they're marketable to young fans and want to be big but their ideas for their own individual music 'career' is either mediocre, lacking or not that interesting. Makes it seem like anyone can be a "musician". They mostly have writers and bigger people on the music part of it directing the direction what to do next etc because the 'face' selling their own music is lacking in creativity. Bridgit's EP after her album which wasn't influenced or helped financially by Disney proves she has real. F'ing. Talent and creativity. With singing and production!) she just wanted to make music. Not be a 'product' and get bigger and bigger out of ego to prove something to herself internally or to anyone else. Some girls who work with Disney seem vain to me and treat music like their own vanity project and sure they can care about it and put hard work into it like acting projects, but that doesn't make it any less generic or uninteresting. People can't look past the image they portray to the public and see that unfortunately...
The fact that Good Luck Charlie ended with Teddy going to college and the fact that Bridgit Mendler herself who played Teddy went college after finished with Disney, working on her PhD at the MIT makes the ending of the show even better
I mean I agree that rap wasn't really for her but it's kinda weird to harp too hard on it, it's just the one song. I wish she'd continued doing music cause I really liked the vibe she had going on Nemesis and wanted to see where she'd take it, but if that wasn't her passion then y'kno, power to her, she can do whatever makes her happy.

During that era, Bridgit, Victoria & Miranda were supposed to be the successors to Miley, Selena & Demi who went on to have big music success after their shows. But it didn’t happen. The industry isn’t so black and white and a lot of things happen behind the scenes that people don’t know about. Bridgit walked away from Hollywood and went to college, abandoning her music career. (Probably because she knew of what she would have to *do* in order to propel her career). And, we’ve all heard about the disturbing things over at Nickelodeon. Allegedly, Victoria Justice was blackballed for declining to sleep with the big cheese (Dan Schneider) and her show was quickly axed despite being at its peak, and her music career was destroyed. To punish Victoria, Nickelodeon began pushing Ariana Grande by giving her a breakout show and supporting her music career. Miranda Cosgrove, on the other hand, allegedly slept with Dan and his friend [Dr.Luke] to help her music career. And all seemed to go well at first. Her debut album went top 10 on billboard and a chart topping single. but when Miranda refused further advances, her music career began to slow down until she was eventually dropped. Overall, all three are better off. They made good money and are able to live comfortably without the perils of superstardom. Bridgit escaped the madness.
I would love Bridgit to continue her music career with a full lenght album or some other EPs. But in the end she has to do what's best for her.

Last I heard she adopted a kid she seems to be doi g great hope she comes back to acting I loved her on good luck charlie.
