The rendition of KJ Yesudas on Vathapi Ganapathy in 70's and 80's will never be surpassed by anyone. His dynamism and improvisation of this Keerthanai is supreme. Compared to KJY, TMK rendition is at most average.
What is this. Yesudas may be a big star. But as far as karnatic vocal he is nothing and tmk is the master of this time. I think only his guru is a comparison to him. There is no comparison.
Probably the most mediocre rendition of this classic, Came here after listening to M.Balamurli, Aruna Sairam and Yesudas version. This was absolute torture on ears,It's sad, the quality of singers have gone down so much and the cause could be quality of listeners.
In what terms would you describe mediocrity in this rendition? I am trying to understand your line of thoughts, and possibly learn from the discussion about appreciating music. Thanks
T M Krishnan!!! This Vatapi Ganapathi!!! As astounding than YESUDASS in 1970!!! Bravo ! Balay !!! Thanks !!!
Unparalleled. Excellent. Paramaanandam. Peak of the Hamsadhwani. Kudos to T. M. K

He can't touch the tail of Chembai!!!
Every one is unique ma'am
Try to listen other singers also
Only then we can realise Yesudas is just a shade of some others ; especially Bala-
muralíkrishna's .
No doubt about his class. But his supposed observations on MS ......not acceptable.

Sure Aruna Sairam, Balamurali Krishna and Yesudas are all good but I doubt if you can compare each of these people
