Everglow is a rookie group, so naturally when it comes to vocals they have room for improvement, however they do have a lot of different voices that they just don't use/you don't get to hear, as their music is very instrumental-heavy and fanchant-y. I think you'd have to dig a bit deep to find clips as they haven't been around a long time, but from my observations, Sihyeon and Mia are the ones you'd immediately look at for the 'best' vocals. I'm sure you'll search up this info anyway, but here's a vague bit of info on them, though disclaimer, this description isn't all sunshine and rainbows: Fandom Name: ForEver 6 members: - E:U - Leader, Main Rapper, Main Dancer *(she was blonde pretty much upto LaDiDa)* Small but powerful Leader, very grabbing when it's her part in the song, I'd like to say her voice is quite unique for a rapper. - Sihyeon - Lead Vocalist, Visual, Face Of The Group *(Generally has darker shade hair colours)* Very talented vocalist, also despite not having dancer as a 'role', I'll say she stands out nicely performing the LaDiDa choreo~ - Mia - Main Vocalist, Main Dancer, Sub Rapper *(The one 'with sweatpants', has had different bright shade hair colours since debut)* Now, Mia is a bit of a controversial subject so this part might be a bit longer. Before covid they were touring in the states but had to cut it short. But luckily there are many live videos of their tour here with of their other songs. As far as vocals go, Mia is the one to pay most attention to. Ashia is a favorite of many fans. She's a gorgeous Korean amazon standing at 5'9.

I don’t know if it stood out to you. But while Everglow’s songs are bops and I love them. They have had a bit of an issue that Mia is both their main vocalist and main dancer. So in some of the songs (Dun Dun especially) she gets double the lines and or screen time as anyone else. I think they really balanced that out in La Di Da, and it was a step in the right direction as well as being my favourite title track of theirs.

I wouldn't say Everglow are too much of a vocal group, but their songs certainly bang. Imho, they just do pop music extremely well. Mia and Sihyeon are probably who most consider to be their best singers. Their music has interesting melodies and the vocal colours of some of the girls are unusual and it keeps the songs interesting. "Oh My God" is such a great song and unlike anything in kpop with it's subject matter. Their debut song "LATATA" is really good for showing off the vocal colours too. I think you'd like them!
actually i don't think i've ever seen everglow vocals live. all i see was playback or pre-recorded vocals. if anyone have a link to some live vocals, i'd be glad to check 'em out

The only thing I feel Everglow needs to change is in the distribution of the lines, Onda (the girl with bangs and pink hair in Dun Dun) almost never sings and she has an ok voice to be in a kpop group, Onda won more lines in La Di Da but it still has fewer lines compared to the others. Now one thing I love about Everglow is that their music is very repetitive, Dun Dun is the music that most notices this style, if you listen again you will notice that in many moments of the song the "dun dun dun" part appears, it makes you not forget the music even if you only listened to it once.

Personally I think Everglow has a higher long term ceiling than many current top groups. They have the visuals like other top groups, Better stage presence than Red Velvet, GFriend....on par with DC..., songs are consistently good and overall pop style which encompasses a broad audience, cool choreos.....DC with rock will only carry a niche, Red Velvet can be a hit and miss with their Red and Velvet concepts, GFriend music is more bright and not girl crush which Koreans prefer and not international fans...the only obstacles for EG are their vocals and getting more Korean fans...I think in due time more Korean fans will like their music but maybe in a few years...if they can get a vocal coach for a year or so they can really take off. With kpop being global Now they might not need a Huge korean fan baSe BTS was vocally weak when they debut and look at them now. In time I think EG only being 1 yr old will get better unless they disband for some reason. They do need to catch up with GIDLe and ITZY... those two are the leading 4th gen gg with international fans

Irene and Yeri used to be pretty average but Irene in Monster definitely showed improvement. Yeri had improved in Umpah Umpah and now is very good. You can't look at clips that are old then say they don't have good stage presence when idols constantly still train and get better. Either way as a whole Everglow's stage presence still isn't the best. Most of the member have at least one issue. Onda did get better this era though. Yiren/E:U/Sihyeon only has good facials when there in the center but not when they aren't. Mia forces some of her expressions and they look awkward sometimes only but other times she's good which shows lack of consistency. Aisha is definitely there best when it comes to stage presence with great facials and they come natural. Red Velvet have been in the industry longer and have more experience. Their concerts are another example at where they are better at hyping the crowd.

I really like them as a group and the songs are bop, but TBH their vocal talent won't be as good as Mamamoo or Dreamcatcher. But yeah, be prepared for a lot of autotune and even when they sing "live" there is a lot of back track. Not hating as I love the group/songs, but even Twice has better vocal talent I'm afraid.

I wouldn't say Everglow are too much of a vocal group, but their songs certainly bang. Imho, they just do pop music extremely well. Mia and Sihyeon are probably who most consider to be their best singers. By the way, if you love rappers I second the suggestions below of (G)I-dle. Their rapper Soyeon is probably one of the most talented idols of this generation, she writes and produces all of their tracks and even helps direct their music videos and she is just so insanely talented, many consider her to be the best. Their music has interesting melodies and the vocal colours of some of the girls are unusual and it keeps the songs interesting. "Oh My God" is such a great song and unlike anything in kpop with it's subject matter. Their debut song "LATATA" is really good for showing off the vocal colours too. I think you'd like them!
When I think of Everglow, Itzy comes to mind too. You need to look at Itzy too as they are also fun.

The only thing I feel Everglow needs to change is in the distribution of the lines, Onda (the girl with bangs and pink hair in Dun Dun) almost never sings and she has an ok voice to be in a kpop group, Onda won more lines in La Di Da but it still has fewer lines compared to the others. Now one thing I love about Everglow is that their music is very repetitive, Dun Dun is the music that most notices this style, if you listen again you will notice that in many moments of the song the "dun dun dun" part appears, it makes you not forget the music even if you only listened to it once.
You should listen to LOONA! I recommend LOONA - Hi High, and So What or Butterfly!

Everglow are a dance heavy group so yeah, La Di Da is quite different from them. They do have good vocalists though so I'd be curious what you think of Mia and Sihyeon.

Personally I think Everglow has a higher long term ceiling than many current top groups. They have the visuals like other top groups, Better stage presence than Red Velvet, GFriend....on par with DC..., songs are consistently good and overall pop style which encompasses a broad audience, cool choreos.....DC with rock will only carry a niche, Red Velvet can be a hit and miss with their Red and Velvet concepts, GFriend music is more bright and not girl crush which Koreans prefer and not international fans...the only obstacles for EG are their vocals and getting more Korean fans...I think in due time more Korean fans will like their music but maybe in a few years...if they can get a vocal coach for a year or so they can really take off. With kpop being global Now they might not need a Huge korean fan baSe
BTS was vocally weak when they debut and look at them now. In time I think EG only being 1 yr old will get better unless they disband for some reason. They do need to catch up with GIDLe and ITZY... those two are the leading 4th gen gg with international fans

@@inquisitvem6723 Seulgi, Wendy, and Joy are all really good though- On stage they are all very at showing energy and facial expressions. Irene and Yeri used to be pretty average but Irene in Monster definitely showed improvement. Yeri had improved in Umpah Umpah and now is very good. You can't look at clips that are old then say they don't have good stage presence when idols constantly still train and get better. Either way as a whole Everglow's stage presence still isn't the best. Most of the member have at least one issue. Onda did get better this era though. Yiren/E:U/Sihyeon only has good facials when there in the center but not when they aren't. Mia forces some of her expressions and they look awkward sometimes only but other times she's good which shows lack of consistency. Aisha is definitely there best when it comes to stage presence with great facials and they come natural. Red Velvet have been in the industry longer and have more experience. Their concerts are another example at where they are better at hyping the crowd.

I really like them as a group and the songs are bop, but TBH their vocal talent won't be as good as Mamamoo or Dreamcatcher. But yeah, be prepared for a lot of autotune and even when they sing "live" there is a lot of back track. Not hating as I love the group/songs, but even Twice has better vocal talent I'm afraid.
