Josh: "It's kind of like wearing a cheesecake on your face." Me: SOLD. Don't care what it is nor what it costs. I want to wear a cheesecake on my face. xD
The nerd outfit is crazy strong, that bonus is so good for reading books. I have been keeping it upgraded as much as possible and just dedicating a box to all books plus the chest and just reading them all at night when im tooling around home base, and just wearing whatever gives me the best bonus while im out and about during the day. Also, for cloth, all my needs were met as soon as I figured out Tents and Camp Chairs give crazy amounts for the effort needed to break them down. Wrench for the chairs, axe for the tents. Leather has still been a bit of a choke point for me. Havent found a really efficient source of it to match the increased need.
Watching you hunt for stuff and pass by things cracks me up 😆 you left a leather 2 seater couch untouched on top of a barricade in the first POI you went raking into, and then a leather seat sitting in the bedroom of the POI in the desert. Keep up the great content!
The office chairs (the wheeled ones) give several leather if you break them down in your inventory, not wrench them. Wrenching usually gives 0-1, scrap in inventory gives 4-6.
Track the "harvest leather with a stone axe" challenge it will mark leather booths on your hud. You can also use the "harvest steel with a wrench" to track vending machines until you complete it.
Small office buildings give the best amount of leather for effort - a t2 office POI can have a dozen office chairs, each worth 6 leather when scrapped. Much better return on investment than leather couches, which take a lot on get to harvest and only give 2 leather.
I always take an extra minute or two in fast food joints and restaurants salvaging the leather from the bench seats. Or in bars... like Buzz's Bar, where the tier 2 quest was lol.
Tip for people trying to find animals in town: on farms (especially those WITHOUT a difficulty level) check near the hay bales. There are often hog spawns that will be sleeping. A good stealth arrow to the face ought to do some heavy work
Track the leather challenge and it will display icons for the leather source as you get close to it. Then just drive around the town until you see it. Or put a point in Animal Tracker. The best biome for animals to me is the burnt forest. It doesn't have the dangerous animals of snow and wasteland, it has more animals than desert and forest, and you have longer lines of sight than forest because it doesn't have tall grass or leaves. There is fog but it is more of a light filter that doesn't decrease view distance. I've been selling stacks of raw meat to the trader, which actually sells better than weapons and armor.
all of this and woodle doesn't even bother to walk into a diner and take apart the booths (it would knock out the leather and the get leather challenge, and he'd get some old cash on top of it)... never change woodle, never change 😂 32:35 also was that a JoJo's reference my man??

Gotta love watching one episode and the next comes out while you do - Josh you're a machine! You've been cranking these out!! Don't burn yourself out but man we love it!
With the loot drops I think the percentage is still the same but they are distributed differently, ie you might get no bags from 1 group and then 2 or 3 from the next.

If you are short on cloth and leather I would find a Savage Country store. The clothes racks and piles seem to have cloth and leather with the occasional armor parts and legendary parts.
With the forgettin elixir being as cheap as it is, I feel like they intend on you to reallocate your levels multiple times on the come up. Put all your points into the tree that makes the most sense for you early on, then respec and dump your points into the next tree. And so on. . I had a motorcycle on day 6 as well as the ability to make the 4×4. Then I have changed the point tree and now I have a top-tier steel club on day 10.
Aren't office chairs pretty good for leather? that's how i get it usually, loot an office POI or something that has a lot of those chairs and i end up with a lot of leather

found your 7 days 1.0 series 3 videos ago and it has been nothing but good vibes and good times ever since love the accent and your hate for rekt haha go have some great content, glad i found you PLEASE KEEP GOING !!!!
The atmosphere in this game is exceptional. Imagine if this was in the next gen graphics of today. That would truly be something. Definitely my favorite game at the moment.

Josh, you're gonna be real mad if/when The Fun Pimps put in an endgame story and Trader Rekt sacrifices himself to save you right before you get bit by a zombie or takes a bullet for you... He's that old codger that never actually tells you he likes you and always gives you a hard time but inside loves you like a son... Fun Pimps, toss that in there please!!!
If I had three hands I’d give it three thumbs up. I am really enjoying this brand new update and I look forward to seeing your video when I get that notification. I’m glad to see also that the struggle for supplies isn’t only in my new world. Things have changed!
Maybe I'm wrong or just getting some weird luck.... But I have found that by NOT reading the books you don't want, like say rifle crafting. Then I find less of them... I too am going with pistols in 1.0.... and have not read a single shotgun or rifle book, been holding them until I finish pistols crafting. And I don't find many rifle/shotgun books.
Honestly Josh, you could patch up those wall holes and do that again! Let your outer walls slow the horde down and go out and drop bombs and molitovs on them until they finally break through!
Hey Josh, word of advice! I recently managed to craft both a T6 hunting knife and a T1 machete, I wanted to compare both since usually the T6 knife would've been better. Unless I got *really* unlucky with the dice rolls, the T1 machete *is* the better one now, even filling out the mods of the T6 knife!
Yet again mentioning it (because i know these are old) but, power attacks with ANY harvesting tool destroys a large portion of the materials you would have gained if it was the right tool used with small hits.(i know, feels like the version that uses more stamina should give more, but, alas, it does not)
Jawoodle finally finds a woman to commit to him, and he treats her bad. I feel bad for Big Momma. All she was trying to do was move in, and Jawoodle screamed at her to get out.😢😢😢
Every time I hear Josh complain about the cloth I think back to him leaving the rolls in the construction site house. He literally left as much cloth sitting there as half what he has gathered the entire rest of the time he has played.
