    I love the added run to the creek and back. There are too many guys in the 2a community half his age with too much gear and are too over weight. I think many people overlook the importance of being in good physical shape at any age. It goes along the same lines we use at my boxing gym, we tell all our fighters train hard to fight easy!! get stuff here, I always learn so much watching your content!

    Awesome, video. I love the running drill. I'm no tactical expert not even close. But, I love to turkey hunt and one of the hardest things to do is to slip up a big hill on a gobbling bird, be all out of breath, and try to use a mouth call to call him in close. Your heart rate is up, your can't get your breath and then you have to be able to run a mouth call with slow even breathing. I can only imagine how this would affect my shooting accuracy in a defense scenario. I'm going to have to try this. So many times we practice things but, don't add real life scenarios, like this. Thanks for the great ideas.

    • @springbloom5940
      @springbloom5940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yet, he is against manual safeties on pistols, because you might forget to disengage it 🤨
      I just don't like most pistols that have a 'battlestation', but after training extensively on one, I can't carry a decocker because I keep decocking. Gun is up, safety is off; gun is down, safety is on. Its integrated into the handling, just like controlling the trigger. If I can control the trigger and slide lock, why would I dick up the safety?

    • @springbloom5940
      @springbloom5940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Twiggy Bones
      Most ND are administrative. That is loading/unloading holstering/unholstering.

    • @BananarchOfTedKacistan
      @BananarchOfTedKacistan 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because I guess the theory is if you have to transition, which you should avoid as much as possible if you have a rifle, it needs to be ready to go the moment it leaves the holster. Not a second after. And some people’s safety’s, yes, take extra focus off your threat. Still wouldn’t run a safety on my handgun.

    • @springbloom5940
      @springbloom5940 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Twiggy Bones
      If you have adequate training, a pistol safety isnt a problem.

    • @springbloom5940
      @springbloom5940 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Twiggy Bones
      What 'extra step'? Is that like the extra step of aligning the sights and pressing the trigger? Seems like it would save a lot of time to just point and yank.
      There is no 'extra step', its integrated into the draw stroke.

      All you whining, spineless Republicans do is try to sound clever demonizing Obama, Clinton and now Biden. My guess is that you just don't trust people with integrity who, agree or disagree, act in what they think is in the best interests of the United States. Keep ass-kissing a bunch of hypocritical self-serving traitors whose only talent is knowing that appealing to racism and giving a bunch of losers people and groups to blame for their never-ending failures is all they need to do. The once proud Republican party is now the party of Marjorie Taylor Greene and predator-enabler Jim Jordan....whom the Republican house "leadership" doesn't have the honor, patriotism or stones to disavow.

You then tell me that I have a low IQ(and after my unintelligent rant, I would be indefensible). I try again and you pick on my spelling. Right? Well.... In the Gospel of Matthew were told we could try loving our neighbors as we love ourselves. So here’s my idea, I’m going to try and be a protector. I’m going to train to be a proficient defender. Of the Gospel first, then of the innocents, and then of all basic truths. In John 15 Jesus tells us that there is no greater love than to lay down your life for a friend. I’m prepared to do that. I train to be able to do that, to protect and provide for my family, friends even strangers. During all of it, I try really hard to have a sense of humor. Not to be a bully, I hate bullies, but to find light during dark times. My comment was out there for a laugh, nothing maniacal, I hope you can laugh also.

      When I trained Rifle 1 & 2 last December with John, Paul was there as assistant instructor. Having met him and trained with him I will say I would have zero issue with taking one of his classes. Paul knows his stuff and his instruction is very similar to John's. John's rifle one course on the Warrior Poet Society Network has all those ready ups. If you can afford the subscription. Its like 10 bucks a month or 100 a year. Lots of good traing there. I don't know if the you tube channel goes thru the ready ups

    The French till recently had a rifle called the FEMAS, and remember when working with their conscripts in the early eighties ,they had a version which basically was a PCP air rifle. It was powered by a co2 bottle, and to cut cost they used this for basic marksmanship, and basic CQB.
    So from this French experience, if short of ammo, or in countries with firearm heavy restrictions, PCP air rifles or air soft might be the future for close to training.
