@Brodie Why? Because he asked objective, clear questions that hold everybody accountable? Go drink more of what Kate and Rhylee were having. Being an adult is about understanding that, ultimately, your relationships, career, and actions are your responsibility and nobody else. There is a lot of narcissism on this boat, from both the men and the women.
Right....seemed like Andy didn’t watch the season. He wasn’t as harsh with the guys as he is with the housewives. He was harder on Rhylee and Captain Lee.

That's not saying that Kate or Rhiley didn't make mistakes - Rhiley acknowledged them, and Kate EARNED her pass from Lee as well as any PRIVATE reprimands Lee may have given her. Plus Ashton OWES Kate his job, I have no doubt that she knew Lee would fire him for his behaviour which is why she didn't say anything.

Please. Courtney is no more innocent than either of the two narcissists, Rhylee and Kate. She is toxic feminist in the making. While Brian clearly needs to grow up, Courtney is a microcosm of what is wrong with so many younger generations (both men and women). It speaks volumes about her when she said during the reunion "We're not the trouble makers. The trouble makers are the people who create the behavior that causes the reaction." That is such a warped, self-serving and self-affirming way to view a person or group of people that you disagree/don't get along with. Sorry, but that isn't how the real world works.
Like many of the hyper-partisan, overly emotional people in today's day in age, she takes the path of least resistance when it comes to life, which in this case, includes playing the blame game to confirm her own emotions/opinions versus taking the time and energy to look at herself (and others) objectively. Ten years from now she'll still be whining about her time on Below Deck. She is lazy, weak and inept and should start her career of becoming the perfect Stepford wife.

It's not always showing the way you acted. If they cut out the multiple times that Ashton called out the other male crew members and only showed him calling out the mentally unsound Rhylee, that is editorializing. That is showing one thing and not the other and giving viewers a totally wrong impression.

TANNER - Followed Kevin and Ashton as a member of the “wolf pack”. He treated Simone like a piece of meat and the way he talked about her was like she was a sexual conquest - it was disrespectful and gross. His mum needs to teach him how to treat women.

Tanner’s mother has taught him how to treat women, like the ones who manage the males’ emotions, the ones who have no boundaries or consequences for violating them, and as doormats. I hated how the males appeared to constantly tell the females to "calm down" whenever they questioned something or offered an opinion. None of the male deck crew should be back, their chauvanistic and patriarchal attitude is disgusting and disturbing.

Lee has commented on the fact, this will never happen again and I believe him. Rhylee should have went to Lee when all this was going on and made mention of the treatment she was getting and Lee should have walked around more to see how his peeps were doing. This whole season was a teachable moment for everybody
@@NewCreationInChrist896 I agree, the production took an angle to face off women vs. men and naturally given the disanvatages we all know women face in equal opportunity scenarios and sexual harrasmsment we tend to defend the women and blame it all on the males, but there are clearly 2 females on the show that behave as badly as the guys. So kudos for production for poorly handling what is an actual problem and turn it into a petty story line.
This reunion came off as beyond tone deaf - I wish that @Andy / @Bravo would have actually attempted to challenge the old boys club rather than allowing them a platform to spread fake apologies and make women who actually stand up for themselves come off as whiners. You'd think that for a network that has built its success on women viewers that you'd at least *attempt* to use the reunion to get answers for some of the abhorrent behavior of the "brus" throughout the season. Asking Abbi and Simone if they experienced misogyny felt like the equivalent of asking Kellyanne Conway if she thinks that Trump is a misogynist - what a waste of time.

I completely agree with you I know I'm a little late to this party but I just watched the reunions and Andy seem to go out of his way 2 not call the guys on their s***! He talked around subjects he actually got aggressive with rylee. Really weird! Andy should have totally been jumping down their throats

I kind of believe him. For instance, he made it clear he meant to discuss with Courtney about their future, yet his text was like he was breaking up with her. I do not think he truly understands how his actions do not line up with his intentions.

There is nothing "reality" about "reality" shows, LOL. Nearly 95% of what they film hits the editing room floor. I'm not defending somebody like Brian, who needs to grow up, but the producers and editors edit the footage because drama makes for good TV. They are very selective as to how they position the cast and relationships on the show; they select the cast members and certainly decided to bring Rhylee back in the name of advertising dollars. I'd love to see your reaction after people filmed you for three months, edited it and then gave you the finished product.
And if you're talking about accountability, the women might want to start by looking in the mirror. There was a lot of narcissism on the boat - both men and women.
Captain Lee was SO over it!! Ashton quit drinking, seeing a therapist - yeah, JUST in time for the REUNION!! Lee calling it BS was dead on! If you are TRULY sorry, you don't start trying to fix it the WEEK before you are going to be on TV raked over the coals for it!! As for Kate - she's EARNED every bit of her preferred treatment AND for the right to have Lee reprimand her in private!!

The reunion show was a complete s**t show. Andy obviously did not watch the season or really care. He expected the women, namely Rhylee and Kate to be equally remorseful about this seasons behavior as the bros. He stuck Courtney at the end equating her significance to the season to Abby who was on the show for about...a minute. And ended the show with 'are you guys gonna hang out after the show?' What an a**. Thank god for Courtney shutting that down at the end.

In their mind, they still think they did nothing at all wrong. Ashton and Brian both want this Yachting as a career. Better get another line of job.

Captain Lee walked out because he couldn’t handle the part were he was told he treats Kate differently and pretty much never pulls her up. He said at one point she is like his daughter but he I not admitting to the favouritism at all when asked though? I am not saying what the guys did was right but Kate is no Angel herself… I think she does it more because she knows she won’t be fired.
Cant even watch the reunion because of Andy's behavior. Way to sweep issues under the rug and continually make excuses for these men. I've seen the public outrage, I know I'm not alone in how I felt about this season as a woman. Seems like bravo could care less about their prime demographic.

A good job doesn't mean somebody serving your preconceived notions, LOL, but than again, that seems to be exactly what is wrong with Kate and Rhylee. Felicia Echeverria I won’t defend Ashton but Captain lee has a lot to answer for. He is hardly irreproachable. He really dropped the ball this season. This all happened under his watch and ultimately the buck stops with him. He abrogated his leadership responsibilities and neglected the safety of his staff. But you won’t see him take any responsibility, even for a second.

He continued the disrespect tour. Capt. Lee, I believe put alot of trust in his crew, in this case, too much. The whole season has many lessons each crew member can learn from.

Felicia Echeverria but his sanctimony is a little gag-worthy. It’s his job and responsibility to know what’s going on. There were countless warning signs. From the incident breaking the DJ equipment, to Kate’s walk off, to the door slamming incident. Lee often just couldn’t be bothered. To pretend like he was totally unaware is pretty weak.

After watching the beginning of the season again, I was really struck by how much Ashton instigated the deck crew's attitude and obvious double standards. While some of the womens behaviors were questionable, Ashton gave the crew a safe space to go full mysogenist
And here comes Andy Cohen, framing the interview as if the women's questionable behavior was just as bad as the assaults they endured. I wanna know who owns Bravo because they're disgusting

So basically does it really matter how he got his job. Yes, bc was it profession or bc he was sleeping with someone. I mean I know there is networking but I don't think it should count Andy. And Captain Lee did talk to Kate about her actions and how wrong it was when she threw the pants on the floor and when she left the yacht and came back the next day in the afternoon. He definitely did have a talk with her.

Hard disagree. Riley was constantly oversensitive accusing the guys of treating her a certain way that absolutely did not come across in the show. Then she would scream and would actually reach out to physically touch the first person, Chandler or whatever his name was. In this reunion the boys repeatedly apologized, Ashton repeatedly apologized, but he had a lit red headed bomb that he was working with. An absolute disrespectful oversensitive girl with a chip on her shoulder. I don’t even get the reactions in this thread.
Courtney legit has to be the smartest person this show has ever seen ! Super analytical and completely justified with how she felt and communicated how she felt. The issue for her is that she’s human and has feelings. If kate and Courtney had a baby holy it would be the next president for sure.

I mean like when she refused to practice her bowlines and people were freaking out because Ashton got mad at her and not at tanner... Rhylee is problematic and doesn't get along with Anyone on any Season she has been on.
When Captain Lee questioned all of the guys about Rhylee, one of them said that she was a cancer that was spreading throughout the crew. I think she was. Everything went downhill as soon as she arrived. Captain Lee made a big mistake bringing her back.
I have to tell you, I was Team Kate, until I watched the whole season and the reunion, she is a bit psychotic :-( Riley, definitely psychotic, but Kate she's on the edge there. I'm not saying the men's behavior was appropriate, but you can truly see how remorseful Ashton and
Kevin are, they are ashamed and embarrassed; as they should be. They're young, they're not going to fall on their knees but they did apologize. I barely saw Kate apologize for anything, she is the biggest loser that fails each season to take responsibility for her actions. She laughs it off or pretends it didn't happen. For instance, here with Simone, you can clearly see she was not a nice person.
Before Kevin kicked the sand, like a baby, at the back of the chair Kate was sitting in, yes her face was kind of turned towards him, but you can see she quickly recovered so she barely got any in her face (she made sure she drama'd that up), we all know she said something to Kevin rude (not excusing him but not giving her the edge either). Watched the clip closely, and he tells her that wasn't nice or something like that, then kick. There is no way in the van, Kate made the mom comment innocently, she KNEW the reaction she was going to get out of Ashton. Makes complete sense when you realize he knew they were all making fun of Tanner's mom, and here she goes and brings up Ashton's Mom, to make fun of his mom. Anybody that has watched any season with Kate, know she's a button pusher. I love how everybody has fallen for her "I'm innocent" act, fools!
Captain Lee, well, what can I say?! He is a bit of a liar and his defensiveness shows that he knew he was lying. Ashton, after that exchange with Kate, went and told the captain, he told him Kate had left the boat, and had not been seen, he didn't do his job which is find out what happened. So the whole time you see him getting defensive, its because he got called out for being full of crap!
Rhylee, what can you say about that psycho?! She caused her own problems, there was no misogyny, she was just a bitter person. The whole time she's trying to have sexual relationships with everybody and no wants her because she's just a crazy bag of hot mess! Then you knew 100% how Courtney felt hurt by Brian and you make that comment about whether they would hook up later. Once she set Andy straight not to go any further with his comment, Andy should have said sorry I didn't mean to hurt you by that comment. I still can't believe Simone considered Brian like a brother and thought he always looked out for you. He laughed and did not put a stop to it when Tanner talked trash about you or when any of the guys trash talked about the women. I still can't believe Simone is well traveled, speaks all these different languages, got all these degrees, yet can't put a decent sentence together if her life depended on it. I am wondering if I watched the same season as most of the people here. Kate has gotten a huge head with being on the show and having Captain Lee as a shield. She knows that she can get away with just about anything, this season proves it.
Ashton did do some things that he shouldn’t have. He shouldn’t have kissed Kate the second time and he needs to not drink. Tanner is just a big kid and he has a lot of growing up to do. Kevin was a prick but aside from Adrian he is also the nicest chef on the show. Ben was better for TV but he was a spaz. It really must be a prerequisite for the position. As far as Brian goes he really seems lime a good dude. I guess I thought he treated Courtney like a princess and she pretty much treated him like she didn’t give a shit about him. Rylee is so hard to watch. She has such a great work ethic but she is way too quick to anger. She will literally go from “Smiley Rylee” to a crazy person in a snap. Kate said she would love to have her on interior but could you even imagine? Simone seemed super nice and super fun but how have you been on a boat, or this world for that matter, and not know how to open a bottle of wine? I really feel like she should go to Stew training because her heart in in the right place, but learning on the fly was not good for her. Captain Lee is great but I really think that he caters to Kate. I get that they are friends, but on a professional level they should not work together anymore. Send Kate to Captain Sandy and see what goes down there.

People are not one dimensional. These men can be multiple things. They did some wrong things and here's a couple of women saying they also did some right things. One doesn't negate the other. I'm happy Abbi and Simone had functional relationships with these men and didn't feel disrespected. For Kate to say it's because they're not assertive is just taking away from the fact they're able to get along with people. Kate and Rhylee aren't assertive, they're aggressive. Rhylee is straight up combative. They get shit, but they start shit too. Just finished watching this season, came to youtube to see all the comments and as expected everyone is going on the Kate and Ryhlee band wagon.
These two are antagonists that keep on pushing everyone's buttons. One is a bully that constantly stirs the pot with nasty comments and the other is disrespectful to her leaders. Not one bosun was treated with respect by Rhylee.
It's inexcusable the sexual harassment towards Kate by Ashton and Brian's behaviour towards Courtney.
Other than this what I saw was a group of women that constantly went after the boys. Example, the market situation where Kevin is trying to buy his own shit and you have Rhylee spewing hatred behind his ear because he is buying what the fuck he wants with his fucking money, then the boys laugh at that stupid behaviour and are called misogynists' by them, what a joke. Like this there were so many moments...bow knots, when Ashton's was apologizing and she was smirking...
To add to this Captain Lee, biggest disappointment, evidently saying that Kate has preferential treatment, a person that bullies, that mistreats even when saying a compliment. How is the rest of the crew expected to handle double standards, like when Lee berated Kevin for telling Brian that Courtney was speaking about their relationship but not Kate for telling Rhylee what Ashton spoke with his captain.
And to you Bravo, the way Kate treated Caroline, in season 6, should have warranted her dismissal from Bravo, but shame on you for saying you don't want to work with a guy that is putting an effort in to change his behaviour but you are willing to employ someone that treats another human being like that.

I do not appreciate how the Captain, and Kate came after Simone. I watched the show and saw how bad Kate treated Simone she talked down to her. And as for the Captain there is a certain amount of training that is given to someone who is new to your yacht, or someone who is new to yachting. Clearly there are certain ways that Kate lines things done on your particular yacht, that she would need to be trained in. Telling Simone that she is the best laundry girl “SMH”, and telling her she does not know how to serve correctly but the white girls can. Captain and Kate definitely treated Simone differently than the other girls. And after hearing them at the reunion, I’m convinced they sounds really racist. And as an African American I wish that I could have been at the reunion to support Simone, no one supported her. That seems a little suspicious no one would speak up for the only black girl. Shame on all of you. I have no respect for the Captain anymore.

I thought most of the guys disrespect the Captain during these “after shows”. It pissed me off- you still have to manage a level of respect. Only reflects there personalities.
He is no longer their captain. He favors one of the girls who he probably has special relations with, and even admitted such. He didn't deal with any of this during the charters, he didn't fire Kate for deliberately ruining the final Charter with Kevin's special cake. He didn't talk to the guys about their drinking and how they should maybe drink less. He literally didn't do anything and then says I didn't know anything and Bravo basically turns it into a war of the genders. If they'd shown Ashton chewing out the other guys in the crew instead of only showing him chewing out the mentally imbalanced Rhylee, then the narrative would have been in danger. I work on vessels with crews of 60+, most times being the only female on board and go to sea for months at a time. The men's behavior, attitude, disrespect, arrogance is completely unacceptable.

This reunion episode: One side asks for forgiveness, and the other side is like '"no!" And then brings up the same issues again. Allowing for no growth, or redemption. It is like cancel culture. "Nope, you did something wrong, and there is no coming back". Granted, the guys behaved badly at times, and when often when drunk. The Captain, Kate, and Rhylee behaved badly here. I get why Courtney is upset, although she is not blameless. And it is not misogyny, but certain personalities not getting along, turned into "misogyny" because it is cancel cultures flavor of the month.

In none of these reunions was Riley‘s actions addressed. She was defensive, she was aggressive, she almost hit the first bosun. So annoying.
I would argue that 80-90% of her reactions were warranted- closer to 100% this season. [ Perfect example: Brian: Riley, calm down. Riley: I am calm, you calm down. Don't tell me to calm down. Boys: How dare her. ] That's pretty much how every Riley standoff went- the boys poking the bear and pretending not to when she got upset with them. Does she get too aggressive? Yes. But, they share plenty of blame in creating her reaction.

The guys could separate drama from making the guests happy. Kate literally sabotaged the charter where Kevin made that special cake. She also divulged the private conversation between the three heads of the ship, the captain the chief stew and the bosun to the lowest ranking member on board, who was also the most mentally unsound. I think there was a definite boys club. They were nasty. Would be better to have 2 female deck crew instead of one. Having one female deck crew can be rough and the men’s true colors came out on her. I think this bunch of deckhands were the worst and casting needs to be much more wary of these kinds of men in the future. Capt Lee should have been more hands on with the whole crew. If it was my yacht I would not hire any of them back except Simone and Courtney

Abbi/Abbey was not there long after she stopped being a possible sexual partner for Ashton. Once she was engaged Ashton's patience with her was gone. To say that she was treated with respect by her team a boss who made it clear he was interested in her to the other two men that they worked with is silly. She saw their behavior towards the other women but brushed it off to be "one of the guys" for a few weeks and then quit.
Ashton you did wrong stuff. You apologized. You dont have to say you're seeing a therapist.. these are normal mistakes.. kate and rhyler should see a therapist thats for sure. Was very awful to have to work with them on that boat. Hope they changed now
