I helped/hindered Jamie Young in the pits for St Austell V Sheffield Prowlers in 2000. Would love to see more footage from that match. It was the only time I made it there - it was like Speedway on the moon! :)
Brings back happy memories . Nanpean Clay Country track. The visitors must have wondered what the hell they had come too. It wasn't only the Eden project that was in a disused clay quarry. "The Bishop" was awesome around the track, went on to Somerset Rebels. Seemond Stephens was a fast local boy & of course Mark "The Undertaker" Phillips who now owns Plymouth Gladiators. Would love to see Speedway back in Cornwall, sadly, I don't think it will ever happen
Went to the Cornish Stadium regularly and then many years later visited the Clay Country track, I remember Ian Barney used to go around there quite quickly

Looked unique
Almost small enough to be real speedway.
