Today is my birthday, and I was born in 1947 which makes me two years older than Mark. I have been following his career since the seventies, and to me he is peerless ! To me he is a phenomena, the likes of which I will never see again ! I still sit down most days with a Strat or a Tele and try to emulate some of his stuff but its no more than a fantasy trip ! The man is a genius and I count myself lucky to have grown old alongside him and his music. If I could turn the clock back, I would have sold my soul to be at the Alchemy tour Live recording ! For me, that was the greatest live recording of all time, especially the versions of Telegraph Road and Sultans on there ! Happy Birthday Mark ! you have given us so much !
