I dont think he overcame mrekk’s dominance. He only overtook him in the leaderboards. Mrekk has set so many crazy scores that akolibed cant replicate. There are also some scores from akolibed that mrekk cant replicate. But i think mrekk has a higher count of those. (I am not trying to trash talk akolibed. This was the most respectful i could be while giving my own views. Akolibed is also a really accomplished player. His speed skills are above and beyond any LEGIT speed player.)

I think its cool that hes first place, but every single one of his top plays are exclusively stream maps. It kinda sucks to see Mrekk pushed out of first by somebody who only excells in in the meta.

I started playing last year and thought that mrekk would stay as no1 for a very long time, that was surprisingly quick.
I still am skeptical of whether or not accolibed will stay at the top, but we will see in the next few weeks
The upcoming weeks will probably show the number one jumping back and forth between Mrekk to Akolibed

Mrekk isnt the goat lol cookiezi is, rank 1 time means nothing compared to the gap in legacy of these players
in terms of influence, cookiezi is arguably the greatest, but mrekk also has a LOT of influence. he's the only player who has broken 100 1ks, the first player (non-TD) to get the 10* medal, had like 90% of 1.3ks, had the biggest pp gap (3K), and more.
