Well guys, it was fun while it lasted, after 5 months this video is now outdated!
mrekk has set a 1,381pp play on Tuyu's Anoyo-iki no Bus ni Notte Saraba. Which was a choke and it would've been 1,877pp if it was an FC. Which is truly a testament of how godly mrekk has become and the fact that if he had missed less we would've gotten a 1.4k or a 1.5k is astounding.
Now im not updating the video just yet, because this is fresh of the press so to speak, he may set 1.4k today :Clueless:

WHAT AKOLIBED 1.5K!?!??!?! HOLY FUCK, Akolibed has set 1,505pp on Valley of the Damned skipping the 1.4k pp barrier, setting the first 1.5kpp score. This PP Record has the potential to stay for a long time but who knows, mrekk exists. This score also got Akolibed AUTO-RESTRICTED which was insane. Definitely an unforgettable day in osu! History. Congratulations Akolibed for setting 1,500pp and one of the best scores this game has ever seen.

WHAT AKOLIBED 1.7K?!?!?!?!?! Akolibed has set 1,711pp on Sidetracked Day skipping the 1.6k pp barrier, setting the first 1.7kpp score. still genuinely shocked. The gap between mrekk and Akoli is now around 700pp

Welp, mrekk reclaimed his throne as PP record holder with a 1,760pp on Save Me, I find that extremely crazy, how a new era was ushered in around a very high amount and not even a year later, it was beaten. Definitely shows how mrekk and Akolibed changed the scene.

Fantastic video! just wanted to say even though you didn't ask for critique i would like to mention that (even though you probably did) re-reading the script like 10 times and listening to yourself after each full recording helps a lot with how smooth it comes out to an audience! and yeah great video, hope to see even better ones in the future!

Excellent video. Though with how hard katthy's honesty hdhr was nerfed shortly after I don't see it as the first real 900, idke's Uta is it imo since though it got nerfed too, that was much later and much less justified
Technically Cookiezi's FDFD HDHR score was set waaay before all of those plays so that is the first 900, because it got changed by a rework to be worth 900pp
So neither Karthy's nor idke's play are the first 900🤓

Kuchizuke Diamond was set on January 28th, 2016 while Blue Zenith was set on January 2nd, 2016

If you are talking about the records mentioned in the video (i.e Vaxei - Tsukinami 1023pp), Algorithm of the time of each play
Otherwise in the case of the PP counter on the top left that some videos in the background had, Current Algorithm (this counter is no longer seen in the latest videos)
