Do you have something of value to be able to offer?? You have NO idea the strength you give us. And Nicole, you will ALWAYS be with us ... there are very few whose lives cross ours and they prove to be unforgettable: that is YOU. So, you see, you will be alive as long as we are! 💖
Being part of the non cancer world for a time whilst volunteering is good for you. Cancer sucks but there is a bit joy available each day if you make effort to find it. Hugs from Scotland.
Thank you for sharing the beautiful art on your walk and your life's journey of cancer. You are such a beautiful person. Love your energy. Prayers that all your tests come back better than ever. 🤞 my friend 💜🩵💚💛🧡❤️
Sending you positive thoughts, and, crossing my fingers the results are better than anticipated. My last cea read 39.2 which sent me over the edge as it was 7.1four months earlier. My radiation oncologists told me that she is looking at all test results before being worried. Last ct scan showed no new tumours and the current one shrinking. Definitely understand your perspective, and as usual giving both you & your wife hugs. ❤
In honor of you, Nicole I am going to start volunteering! You're an amazing role model and I have the utmost of respect for you. Sending love and strength your way from Ontario!
What a lovely gesture. You know I didn’t start off life making the best of decisions. It took me a while to figure out how to be a good human. To hear this is really beautiful to me. Thank you. ❤️💪🏻🌈
So good to see you. Let’s pray and hope that your scans don’t show any new growth. It doesn’t hurt to be optimistic, right? I admire your volunteer work. All of us can do something to give back to our community. Let me tell you about one of my funniest moments that I experienced volunteering. My husband and I are both in the medical field and have done lots of volunteer work in Africa. Now with 4 children, I go one year for three months and he goes the next year. In 2002 we were in DRC ( The Democratic Republic of the Congo ) at a very rural and poverty stricken stretch close to the Gabon border. The political situation was pretty chaotic and our trip had been rather challenging. Some people on our team build wells, others taught local people how to maintain the wells, others vaccinated, performed surgeries. Often people couldn’t come to us, therefore we tried to drive to them. By the time you arrived, your organs had pretty much rearranged themselves due to the terrible road conditions. AC never worked, the humidity made you nauseous. You sweat up a storm and felt like a chewed up piece of tobacco. Anyway, towards the end of our trip we went by a tiny village, dropped off medicine and vaccinated the children. No matter how poor people are they always tried to give back to us, show their appreciation and thanks. Often they cooked us food which could be rather adventurous and give you food poisoning or was really unusual for us Westerners. In many tribes men and women, celebrate and eat separate from each other. When our food was ready, I told our translator to thank the ladies but let them know that I didn’t eat meat and would stick to vegetables. After all you don’t want to come off as rude and ungrateful. Our translator communicated my food preferences and a couple of the women left to see the Chief. They told him that I didn’t eat meat. The Chief in utter disbelief went to my husband and started to tell him something. Not knowing what he was saying he looked around for our translator who was just busy munching down his food. When my husband got his attention he calmly listened and told my husband “ the Chief is very disappointed and angry with you.” How come you are such a bad hunter that you can’t even provide your wife with meat? My husband, poor thing didn’t know what was going on. Meanwhile I was laughing up a storm and decided not to fill the Chief in but let him assume that my husband was a hopeless, untalented hunter. Needless to say everyone in the tribe gave him the side eye for the rest of our stay. The women tried to console me and offered a shoulder to cry on. 😂 To this day my husband will bring up the incident every ones in while. Reminding me that I didn’t stick up for him. 😂
Maybe just call it a hobby? 🤣 Put pretty labels on ugly things. It’s fun! You’re not having an MRI-You’re practicing meditating through loud knocking sounds inside a claustrophobia-inducing tube. Something you do to become a better person. 👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣 Good for you! And a CT is just getting good at feeling like you’ve peed when you haven’t. So when you get old and DO pee yourself, you’ll have practice at the feeling. It’ll be easier! See! Now it’s a fun day, right? Right? 🤓🥸
@@giovannimaisano9194 Reflecting love and light right back at ya! That CT peeing feeling is just soooo weird!!! I wish that could be my magic power. So if I see a moron being mean to their kid in the grocery store, I can just zap that peeing their pants feeling on ‘em! That’ll distract ‘em! 🤣
What a life. This must be all so though. 🫂🫂🫂 1:41 Yes oh my God! Nicole... in the Netherlands that whas also a big no no... showing your emotions. Portugal is a lot better with that. Yeah i'm a Mormon but i def don't pay thiting in my ward. Heaven no. 💲 Anything i don't wanna do i wont do. I hope that with the scans they do they don't find anything. ❤🧡💛🧡❤🧡💛🧡❤🧡💛
