I'm so glad I found your channel. I've been thinking about shifting into music composition for games and seeing you going to developing a game is very encouraging. 💯
The music is beautiful! I feel like the nectar could benefit from being a different instrument. I think a string section kind of fading in as a chord as opposed to a melody would bring some more warmth to the sound design.
for the sounds in nectar, if you have them as individual layers, you could add layers depending on the size and how many plants are in it. that could really enhance the mood when you're in a big nectar zone with a ton of plants, with a hint of that when you step into a small one. 7:35 i'm pretty sure that's not the case. afaik sound is generally always mixed and processed on the cpu and then sent as a stream of bits to the digital to analog converter (DAC) which converts that to an analog signal for your headphones. now if your cpu has to mix and combine 10000 sound sources it will not be able to keep up, but this will obviously depend on the cpu the player has.
Hey, I like your game dev so far. Do you plan to put the laser and cable in the nature? If so, it feels like these components are not the part of the world. Maybe you can change the laser stuff into water stuff. I am not an artist but, I feel like the main character and the brown grown is really similar in color. Maybe you can make the main character to me more orangeish, idk. keep up the good work!
Thanks for the feedback. The laser and cable are actually intentionally out of place from the nature part of it. It's going to be story/lore related. I sort of agree with the color of the character. I've play around a little bit with his color, and I might tweak it a little in the future
saw a comment asking why you posted them all the same day, I agree you should've done week by week but either way seems like youtube loved these videos 400 subs in a week is crazy
this game looks so well polished and has a concept that looks so satisfying to play, i can't wait! Also, i wanted to mention the discord link doesn't seem to be working, it's expired. Hope you can fix it :)

Thanks! I actually found a composer who has seriously upgraded all of my music. I'll probably make a video about it at some point

Watched all the videos and subbed, keep up the work man, wanna start work on my own game, you inspired me.
Hope you get to 100k subs i thought u were a pro dev who developed some games and had 50k or 100k subs but surprised by the low subs and views
I love your devlogs! can't wait to see more 😊 I use godot but it was nice to see how unreal works
Thanks! I don't know too much about Godot, but I know it's been gaining popularity lately
@@nerdchomp Yeah ever since Unity screwed over it's users 🤣 now I am switching to unreal.
Maybe like the sound of wind blowing through some tall grass as the grass expansion sfx?
I forgot to mention in the video, but I added a grass rustling sound when you run through it. I'll think about adding wind grass rustling as well

Oh well 🤷♂️, I'm just happy people are interested in the game
very therapeutic
Maybe consider fading in/out the nature sounds when entering/exiting the nectar zones to ease the transition a lil
Already fixed this! Someone else mentioned the transition is harsh and I agreed. Should be smoother now

Link is fixed, thanks for letting me know!
I must say, you have the most cute hero of all games! :)
What the Iron man Doing 😂
Lol just for scale. That's the default unreal mannequin. I use it as a reference to make sure things are the correct size
