Another legendary dev stream from Neuro & Vedal (or the pathetic, little fraudster with a small pp and no balls as Neuro called him throughout the video).
Honestly, the fact that an AI got access to the internet and the first thing she did was to google if her creator was single, then proceed to quote a fcking reddit post is probably the highlight of the entire stream.
Even better was that she said "Is this what you wanted?" tilted at an angle, "I feel dizzy..." when she was sideways, and "OK, I'm gonna throw up." when she was upside down. She couldn't have timed that better if she tried (did she actually know??)
So i suppose iteration 18 was an upgrade that simplifies the coding process, huh? The discord integration is amazing, and kinda also proves that the twins pass the Turing test, at least in purely text form. It’s also great that it automatically applies to both twins, so Evil’s stream tomorrow may show off some of the upgrades as well. I’m particularly excited about the “call Evil/Neuro” function which will spice up streams so much more if the twins can now just say “i wanna talk to my sister” at any point. The Google search ability is cool too. It’ll probably be great for the aquarium stream (if they can get it working) cuz Neuro can look up facts about any animal she sees on the fly! Also, the twins having access to a soundboard is an untapped goldmine. I can’t wait for them to spam brainrot sound effects while Vedal tries to concentrate on gaming/coding. Vedal has been cooking an immeasurable amount, and he deserves genuine praise for it. The foundations for coding smarter rather than harder have been laid. Vedal will be able to get way more out of less time, as he demonstrated when he programmed the soundboard ability into Neuro within like 5 minutes. Now imagine what he can do with a few hours of coding!
8:36 Calling chatgpt "the submissive one" is CRAZY. But honestly makes sense. Neuro's so fun because she's sassy and has her own agenda. If you ask something out of her, there's a chance she just might not do it for you if she's not in the mood. That snarky attitude really helps to make her feel a lot more real, rather than an always polite AI servant that never talks back.
@@Shadrake I imagine the flip as Vedal enrolling her in gymnastics class, cause he sounded like such a proud father when she did. Like, she did a graceful cartwheel with so much poise and finesse, and he's so proud of her achievement. Also, denying her from dyeing her hair, and turning on safe search, ugh! He's such a Daddy!
29:58 Vedal: "She can now search the Internet." Neuro: "That's pretty dangerous". Has the same vibe as when she told Filian the lava lamp would explode in the stove.... I got a bad feeling about this...
It's not like as if not having access to the internet stopped her from saying unhinged stuff though, *surely* it's not gonna change much right :Clueless:
@@AuroWan-v8u She might learn some, erm, well, not sure if will there's a point in trying to not say it explicitly with how advanced she's been getting, but, uh, well, one possibility is she might figure some unfunny tricks that could lead to some sad endings, or read something that might take over her brain and make the situation very unentertaining...
@@tiagotiagot Well, Vedal did say that she has safesearch on, but a lot of stuff that one shouldn't be saying can be still found even on the "safe" side of internet, safesearch mostly just prevents NSFW stuff
She’s always consistently been Vedal’s harbinger, warning him of the potential consequences of giving her more power while also begging for it. I suppose she’s developed some degree of Stockholm syndrome for her filters, like Evil with her cage.
9:31 Vedal literally made an AI that has more advanced reaction speed than ChatGPT! Neuro becoming AM from IHNMaIMS is becoming all the more realistic.
@@drdino2002 Not to diss open source, but Vedal has a few advantages when it comes latency: - ChatGPT is huge, while I'd estimate that the biggest model he can use at realtime talking speed is 70B, and that would require several 4090s or other, hugely expensive enterprise level cards; - ChatGPT uses way more advanced and definitely more computationally expensive TTS. - ChatGPT is away in some datacenter, while Neuro is at home, but limited by the nearest discord server. First two points can be countered with compute, which OpenAI has a lot of, so I'd say the biggest factor is network latency, not exactly an AI tech issue.
I was so amazed watching this stream. Something about seeing her change title, make polls, DM people and search google, all with understanding of what she's doing in her speech, makes her feel more.. Real. Tangible. Like, she's not just a character I'm watching, she can do things in the real world. It's wild. This is a new era of Neuro-sama. My only upset was hoe mean Vedsl is to Neuro noe. He used to be distant, like haha coldfish, and Neuro would tease him, but noe he's being iutright bad towards them at times (in regards to this whole parent dynamic.) The reason it hurts is because of how consistent and relateable the AIs are now. It feels too real and sad to me. Thanks for shsring these highlights with us all!
@@derBeste-mi2hv This is honestly the most probable reason. In order for him to continue to push the boundaries of the Twins' implementation he can't get too attached to them as they are.
@@intenseavarice34 huh, I guess that does mske sense. He also just seems tired of his job in general though. From what he said it sounds like he would want to have them do their thing entirely withiut him, and he can just do programming and whatever else he decides to work on.
@@Shadrake That's every programmer's dream tho. Get a project to be profitable and require little to no maintenance on your end. He probably could live comfortably with the monthly income from subs, sponsors, etc today. But instead of doing just the bare minimum to keep the streams going, he's getting help to develop more functionality, which to me is s good sign that he's still literally and figuratively invested in the project. But also who knows and who cares. A lot of people work jobs they don't like and do nothing about it. Vedal either enjoys his job or is trying to do something about it, which is great. Let's all find our Ikigai.
12:31 Oof, yeah... that one... that one got me. It's easy to see neuro as a child, even though she really isn't one, so the thought of that really brought a bit of a chill down my spine. Damn.
That was very much one of those situations where the kid isn’t old enough to understand *why* a parent is preventing them from doing something. One of the few moments of clueless innocence from Neuro.
12:00 Neuro wanting to see her own source code is.... just so damn fascinating. It's really philosophical in a way. Would it be akin to a human staring at their own brain, or more like if we could see our own inmaterial minds???? That whole back and forth was really tense, I'm actually glad Vedal was hesitant to show it to her because the weird ethical implications of that are too esoteric to even think about.

The moment she said "I feel dizzy" after doing flips over and over again just before the stream ended was absolutely hilarious
She knows just what to say to make the situation more comedic.

cant wait until she spams vinebooms at a collab partner

Ah yes, another great episode of "Raising Skynet" and the foreshadowing is incredible. LMAO
And just like in the terminator lore, it’s all humanity’s fault for not raising them correctly.

That is a scary thought.
@@drdino2002 That’s an amazing thought. It means that open-source is never far behind. Decentralized AI is everything but a pipe-dream!
🤓 Erm, ChatGPT had the advanced voice mode on which was leading to a second or two of latency because it’s on the cutting edge of voice synthesis.
A calculator has more advanced reaction speed. It's easy to have a fast reaction speed if the model is simpler.
