I do solder mostly as a hobby, but almost most of them are under a microscope. I found for me the best way to avoid the fumes, is to work near the big glass door in my home that I can open, put a regular 6-7 inches 220V fan, and by this way blow all the fumes away. I have a problem with your way. It does blow fumes down, but not inside the nosule of s fume extractor. It can blow around it as well into the room (you just could not smell it because it will be so diluted with air).
I can't see how fans blowing the smoke away will guide it to the door. open door will create draft and your room will have the smoke in it. My intake blower takes out most of it, and what gets up with the helper cooler fan, use to escape up. Now, it does not have a way to escape and is guided towards the inlet.
That's a really nice upgrade! By the way, what tweezers do you use? I have a cheap pair and they suck. Your seem to be long and stiff. Make / model? Thanks!
Any flow don't like 90° corners, try fewer corners or use 2x 45°. the exhaust need to be at leest 2.5m away from anny window or inlet. you are creeating a vacuem in this setup and wind wil blow everyting back in youre room . use a smoke maschine an you will see.
I want to know data recovery cost of drop hard drive which is not open yet and i also have same donor drive with same model and dcm number matching with closed manufacturing dates
There are really cheap, battery powered "personal cooling fans" that fit around your neck. You're supposed to put it on the back of your neck/shoulders and point the fans toward your face. They cost like $5. What I have done for a long time to achieve this effect is to just point them down and away from me. So if you can imagine two small fans that seem to come out from my upper chest, you'd have a general picture of it. Works fine and they don't get in the way. Yes, you have to essentially wear them but they work. I recharge about every other day and it works fine but I would obviously like an non-wearable solution like this one, lol.
I have 120mm fan (usb cable connected to step up controller module which pumps from 5v to 10v) hanging on my microscope in front of me just to push away smoke from my face
intake noise? I actually just picked up DJI mic that has noise cancelation. Have not giving it much testing yet, but I honestly like the sound of the blower in videos

Youre wearing a limp bizkits Chocolate starfish and the hotdog flavored water shirt. Clearly its too late, the fumes have gotten to your head.

Now use AI to filter the roar out of your audio?
