You might be a redneck if... Wow Brad! You just took me back to my younger days on the farm. Me and the neighbor kids would try to run through the mud holes in the swamplands of Mowssouri. We would get out the 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, and dirt bikes and see who could make it through the mud holes in the fields. I buried my little Honda XR80 all the way up to the rear fender one year believe it or not lol. Fun times for sure man! Enjoyed watching you play around like a little kid in the mud 😂

Hmmm, that is a good question. I think the main issue with anything that added weight would be that it would have had to get hung up in the mud itself. Maybe not suitcase weights, but any attachment would likely have prevented it from making progress. Just my guess, though!
That looked like so much fun. I can’t believe you came out clean as a whistle compared to him. If you didn’t have to step in the mud to hook the tow rope, your boots would’ve been clean too.

The one thing that 'SOMETIMES' hinders the Ventrac's ability to perform, is its overall GROSS WEIGHT......(but at the same time, that's its saving grace, it's sheer brutality!)
There isn't a conventional transmission in the Ventrac, so no compatibility with a differential. Hydraulic transmission powering all four hubs mean all wheels/tires drive forward/backward at all times.
Brad, I bet if you had R1 tires on the ventrac, you wouldn’t struggle at all! Lol What if you bought and old ventrac like a 4500 and did this. Ugh so much fun.
Brad, I'll have to say I'm a little shocked you put your CLEAN MACHINE in that mud hole!! I feel like you would have breezed through it with some momentum though if he hadn't stopped in front of you!! 🤣
To be fair, I didn't have any mowing deck on. I may have been able to slog through the shallow part with the deck lifted, but I seriously doubt I would have made it through the deep part with ANY mowing attachment 😅

Chad assured me there was a full size tractor on hand to pull me out so that made me much braver :D

Ground clearance hurt me when trying to get out of the pit on some of the higher banks as well.
VenTrac desecration! On days like this you bring a cub cadet and leave it at the bottom of the swamp. 👀

@@CopperCreekCuts Yip I totally know that, but having a locking rear end would make the world of difference.
Need better tires, like Tractor tires if you plan on doing that type of mowing, you have the turf tires.
