5:45 Celtic wore the vertical green & white stripes from 1889-1903 prior to the first hoops kit in 1904. Fun fact this came about when Celtic played Corinthians in England who wore white which clashed with our own white shirt in that first season & continued with the green & white stripes from the following season.
There is another non league Celtic, St. Anthony’s in Govan who were first to wear the hoops legend has it Celtic scouts were there to watch a player and came back with the idea of the hoops. The first st Anthony’s ground was moorpark (wine alley) in the shadow of Ibrox stadium.
I’ve been wanting to go to a st.roch’s game for a while now. Need to get myself along at some point I’ve got a soft spot for the area after coaching football in st.rochs primary for a few years pre Covid and loved it there. 🍀
