I'm honestly not surprised that you've finally found a form that works with you. You've been searching for the past year to find something to elevate your game and I think this arm motion works perfectly. The last half of your swing is correcting to make it perfect. it keeps your backswing low and more controlled all around.

Never stop experimenting 🤩. I also think it's the swing. Personally I have no control of neither the direction nor the follow through with a big swing.
It seems kind of counter-intuitive the direction should be off, because I had a very straight and smooth swing according to my coach and teammates. I mean, logic tells me the ball should go in the direction of the swing, right?
Next I would love to see him throw some balls down the lane with no swing at all. Just start with the ball hanging, and let the momentum of your feet bring the ball behind you slightly. Possibly best with a 3 or 4 step approach. I moved from that to holding the ball very low on a 5 step approach to reduce my swing. It helped a lot on my accuracy.
I'm definitely going to try this 😊

It's a version of a figure 8 swing. Wes Malott is the "best" I know of using that type of swing. Wes does it to help clear his hip on the backswing. I've done it for years and yes it helps me "get up the backend of the ball better". I just have to remember to keep my foot speed on the approach...slow. Good luck and looking forward to the next video.

Hey I have a thought on your form here. So your normal swing is very high, I think it impacts your ability to smoothly release the ball.
Here, because of the whirlwind you were not able to bring it so high. And it actually let you get under the ball and come through it more.
So maybe try an episode where you dont swing your ball as high? It might help your game and could be a fun experiment regardless.

I think some portion of the swing is adding so much motion in the beginning reduces the amount of backswing. I always figured 80% of bowling was figuring out what swing is natural for your body's composition. Which is why there isn't a one-size-fits-all style. Or at least that's what I've told my students in the past. I usually said I can show you the fundamentals but it's on you to develop or find what will elevate your game.

    Hey Mike,
Hey brother just wanted to let you know. I think its super cool you're messing with all these weird styles and I enjoy everything you're putting out. But just wanted to mention to you to please be careful with your elbow and arm health. I was messing around with Earl Anthony/Don Carter's excessive elbow bend after listening to Prather talking about incorporating more elbow bend for more revs. And I've now been suffering from bowler's elbow from hell for the last two-three months that just never goes away. You're a super in shape, yoked guy, so I'm sure your arm is probably strong enough to handle anything you throw at it. But just wanted to mention to this to you, so you don't go overboard too fast and risk injury. Love your videos, man and follow everything you do. 😇😎

All the pros can get their hand way on the inside and I try that but my tricep and lat collide which doesn't allow my arm to get on the inside of the ball and makes my hand always end up on the back outside of the ball. Kinda got caught up in that wild type of swing, I kinda like it, but I meant to mention that it seems like you might be bowling a bit better with that style and if you refine and polish it up a bit, I think you could be in the 800 series club

Honestly your axis rotation looks way better, and you're hitting the pocket way harder. I'd say you should even exaggerate the motion more and focus on generating even more power since you have the build to do it with ease.

This works for you because it keep theball close to your ankle at the point of release, which give good leverage and accurate.. I really think this works for you..

There’s a guy that does a variation of the whirlwind, but he walks up to the line, COMPLETELY STOPS, and basically does a no step drill throw.

First shot in the second game was the exact hit I had for my 299 game in my high school match the other day😂
