In search of Lost Kaavi Art | Hodavade, Vengurla | Archaeologist Sawani Shetye

We visited the Maharashtrian village of Vengurla to purchase saplings and saw a fascinating temple with traditional Devata paintings painted in vibrant colours from the 20th century. We were compelled to take a diversion to this shrine since it too had Kaavi motifs. During our trip, we discovered several curious cultural customs - hint. A king-related temple!

Great video Sawani...if you get the chance please do explore lakshminarayan temple of my village walawal in kudal. The original temple was located in Arambol ( हरमळ) but was shifted here. Very beautiful old architecture which is typical to गोमंतक
