    This is HUGE!!! Having access to so many of the parameters is amazing. One thing not mentioned in the video is that when you're in Scenes and/or Effects modes you get a new option on the right had buttons as either the next 4 Scenes showing as "MORE >>" or "MORE FX >>" to scroll to the next 5 Effects on/off Stompbox style. Opens up everything so much more. Thank you Cooper.

    Have had my FM9 for awhile but never really used foot switches while recording at home. Holy cow this was a great video on foot switch setup. Thank you again Cooper!

    I Just got an AXE III and FC-12. This video just saved me a step to get to my preferred layout. I originally had each preset switch set with the hold function to switch to the Per Preset layout. Thanks!

    Absolutely the best change I’ve made. Many live shows later, love this idea.

    Thanks for the video. There were a couple of good take-aways. It's really unfortunate that the button displays don't photograph well. I can't read any of them on your video. I've experienced the same thing in photos and video.

    Thank you that is very useful as I really like the setup this way. I was worried because I'm used to the Helix. I do have a fractal audio ax8 but I am selling them both as I just received the fm9 unit and opened it on Christmas Day. Wow, I have to say that this thing really dives in deep and you really can custom your layouts to the way you like it. Thank you for this video and I'm looking forward to the four things you need to do with the fm9 right out of the box

    I don't have an FM9 as of yet, but this is how I use my AXE8. I generally have 5 presets that I use for live work. Because of the slight delay when switching scenes, I use an external switch to boost or turn on blocks ie, delay, reverb, drive, pitch etc. The external switch set apart from the axe8 puts it at a place where I don't have to look down while I'm singing to get whatever chages to the preset I desire with just one switch. The switches on the unit itself are too close to accuretly hit the switch every time I need to. Also with this method there is no delay at all.

    Hi thank Cooper for your amazing videos and tips. I bought my FM9 a week ago. I am currently facing an issue with my sound in the mixer. Whey playing at home through my monitoring HS7 yamaha the sound is just amazing but live through a mixer it's just weird and clipping dont recognize my sound. What am i doing wrong with my preset? The clean sound seem dirty1

    This is actually very useful. I have configured the hold button down feature to be able to always get to effects or back to Presets/Scenes but didn't know that you could change which layout it defaulted to when you actioned it

    Good info. Thanks. Is it possible for an expression pedal to change multiple parameters in a scene? For example to increase volume, delay mix and reverb to go from a rhythm setting to a lead setting just using the expression pedal and no other button presses. Thanks.

    • @coopercarter
      @coopercarter 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sure. Tie all three parameters to the same modifier, i.e. PEDAL 1

      @@coopercarter thanks. Also, is it possible to have a row of scenes across the bottom line of buttons and a row of effect on/off buttons for each scene on the top line of buttons?

    This seems extremely useful - so useful that you almost certainly have many users bashing their heads into the wall trying to figure this stuff out - which seems practically impossible without hours of instruction. This unit seems to be designed by engineers for engineers. I'm intrigued by the sounds, but the complexity and lack of intuitiveness would drive me nuts. There has to be an easier way.

    • @peterjacobs6113
      @peterjacobs6113 ปีที่แล้ว

      I absolutely agree. I tried a friends unit for three weeks and said no thanks. Too complicated for a simple blues and country guitarist like me.

  • @Nun0Pinto

    It’s only me or the FM9 is just a big mess?? I like to use “hybrid” mode … using 2 amps for distinct sound & character. ( clean & lead ) and I like to turn on/off effects on both channels/Amps. Ex: clean channel selected and I turn on a compressor or even a pedal with distortion. Same on lead channel/amp put some drive in front of the amp… turn on & off de delay or reverb! To
    Do this with the fm9 I have to use scenes and then constantly accessing the “effects” menu?!! Other thing…. The x/y still exists ?? I love my AX8!!!!
