Not sure if you know. there are staff canteens in T1 & T2 which are open to the public. One is tucked away in the basement of Terminal 1 and another hidden at the rooftop of the carpark of Terminal 2. Here, you can find local food at affordable prices between SGD 5 to 10.
We had no idea! Totally will go to one of these next time we're in Singapore. Thank you for the tip!
Finally all caught up after being deployed for 6 months. I just want to say I am actually glad you guys didn't end up getting a drone. I feel that drone footage takes away the immersion from most vlogs and I really enjoy how I feel like I'm right there with you guys. Thanks for bringing the travel to me during a time in my career that I've been unable to. Stay safe!

Changi is one of the best if not the best airport in the world. Easy to enjoy passing the time.
After about 5 months of watching, I have now fully watched every video you guys have dropped. Quite fitting as the first one I watched was the first time you guys entered Singapore from Bali. Since then I’ve been watching all your new drops whilst gradually watching through from day 1.
A little bittersweet as I’ve pretty much been watching you guys daily for almost half a year!! May the blogs continue for a long time to come.

There is a hawker center in the parking garage off terminal 2. It's the employee canteen (open to publuc). Very cheap.
Every airport should have a butterfly garden!! We spent 4 hours in Newark once and it was an experience x

Pro tip cheveyo; use a Cain instead of crutches. Also Singapore airport will give you a wheel chair to get around on for long layovers. Little late I know. But, using a Cain is MUCH easier to get around on.
Happy birthday Cheveyo! Changi is the best! We've travelled through there so many times as we use the Thailand and Malaysia flights from Adelaide South Australia. They have a swimming pool and lay down comfortable sofas and the sunflower garden and butterfly garden. So many lovely food places too.

Hi One Packs. I've been travelling myself so haven't seen you since you were in Portugal. I'll have to binge watch your recent adventures. I was on a brief 3 hour lay-over at Changi airport on Saturday and got a visa on arrival just so that I could go to the airport waterfall that you guys covered in a previous vlog. Thanks for the recommendation it was awesome, and a feast for the eyes which was a brain wake-up, and walking around and going through the mist which was a body wake up, and it was just the tonic that this weary traveller needed after a 13 hour flight. which hurts more the arm pits or the foot - I hate crutches - from my old country doctor , ace bandage wrap ( not too tight ) while you are resting or sleeping will reduce the swelling and reduce the pain . first the hair and then the foot -happy birthday !

If I am not mistaken, wheelchairs are available for loan at the airport. Would've made moving around easier.

Happy Birthday Cheveyo. Wish you could have enjoyed it without pain, but you get to share it with Tia, so that's a big plus. I have been to Singapore Airport once, it was amazing. Butterflies (蝶) are one of my favourite creatures. Yes!!!!! I knew it JAPAN. I am so excited. I lived in Kyoto for most of 2019. Japan (ATM) is my favourite country in all the world.

Hey you guys … I’m sorry that Chev rolled his ankle and now he needs baby sitting 😉👍 I know what a sprain feels like as here in Vietnam 🇻🇳 the sidewalks and roadway edges are so dangerous that I’ve done the same many times. In your case sadly your flights and destinations have been arranged.. get stronger soon mate so you can get around more easily in Japan 🇯🇵.. if that was correct when Tia let the cat out of the bag 😁😎

Did not see any unclaimed loungers... and the hotel was much too expensive for us to justify 😬
@@OnePackWanderers We stopped in Singapore on the way to Thailand and had 12ish hours to kill but this was back in feb. all the loungers were available at that time. I guess it’s getting a little busy out there now. Ya and now that I think of it the hotel was a rip off. Thanks for the reply!

Happy Birthday! I have a 11 hour layover there next week. Been watching videos on what to do while there. May try the free tour of Singapore or just tour it myself. Any recommendations of what to see in Singapore with so little time? With the time it takes to leave the airport, get to Singapore and needing a few hours to get back to my gate I assume I'll have about 5-6 hours to venture around Singapore.
Our plan was to take the metro into the city proper, get food at a hawker center (Singaporeans have their favorites but they're all excellent), walk around the waterfront, and watch the free light show at the marina (I think it happens at 8pm) before heading back to the airport. The light show of course depends on what time your layover is.
Other options would be Gardens by the Bay, or Sentosa. But either one of those would probably take all your time unless you use taxis to get around really quickly.

I'm heading back home to the US for couple months after touring Thailand for 5 months. Then I'll be heading right back to Thailand again since there is just so much to see here. Then venture out to the rest of SEA/Asia.

I recently had a 12-hour layover in Changi, and it is a good airport but I wish there were areas with sleeping pods that you could rent. I don't understand why large international airports don't have a ton of them, they'd make a lot of money.
We were surprised about this, too. Many huge hub airports like Changi have sleeping pods. But on the flip side, it does have a lot of 'lounge' areas with more comfortable than average chairs.
