Both these dorks had fleas, and the tail in this specific section was a hotspot, so the hair had to come out. This home remedy for fleas included a wash with Dawn dish soap (flea smotherer) and diluted vinegar rinse into full air dry.

One of my collies would either jump in a sulphurous bog straight (We lived near moorland with lots of these) after or she would roll in foxcrap, or a cow pat, if she could find it every time. And I mean every time.
We ended up just taking her to a river ten mins walk away for swim instead most of the time. We usually only bathed our dogs after something like that anyway and it became "I'll do it again thing".
Trembled like she was being murdered when lowered into the tub but would swim in icy rivers everyday in winter.
Only defiant aspect to her in 12 years. Super obedient if a bit neurotic dog otherwise for the 12 years after we rescued her. Baths were no bueno.
DAD: "Alright. Are you in or out?"

I don't believe Kane hates him, he actually admires his dad very so much....always looking for dad to wrestle with him and give him a challenge.. Kane has nothing but Love and admiration for his owner.. You can see it in Kanes eyes that he wants nothing but Attention, and❤ affection from his dad after all that's the dad he knows since he was sucking on a baby bottle🍼👼

🐇🐰🐰 So cute the two of them enjoying each other and never saw them get into a real fight .. I'm glad Kane learned that hop and the challenging toy , he mastered that and figured out how to get the white small pieces out while Harvey enjoys just exploring the dynamics of his toy... 😅👌💙💙

I'm not convinced that something like this would work. First off, adult fleas can survive for at least half a month without a host, and their scratching will dislodge some. Furthermore, their eggs also dislodge and can reinfest your pet at a later date, though there's disagreement on how long they can stay dormant.
Adding more to this: an adult flea will start laying eggs after only two days, so for this strategy to work you'd need to bathe them at an even faster rate.
It was only on the top layer of tail fur and that was shaved off... The rest of the bath was a precaution...

I don't think I mentioned the shaving of fur at all. I was trying to say that bathing doesn't completely fix the flea problem.

*My comment* didn't reference the tail shaving. I said that a soap bath isn't sufficient for getting rid of fleas, and the first person to reply for some reason brought it up, as though I had a problem with it.
@@Ahlnie yeah, of course a dish soap bath is not sufficient to actually get rid of fleas! The pets shouldn't have had fleas in the first place though! - If they had had an appropriate anti-flea and tick treatment applied regularly (like Frontline drops etc), they wouldn't have gotten infested with fleas! There's no excuse really for a well-looked after pet to have fleas... 😔

Love your videos and you clearly seem to be generally taking great care of them, but I don't understand why/how did they get fleas in the first place? - Surely normally, if they had had all the appropriate anti-flea and tick treatment applied regularly (like Frontline drops etc), they shouldn't have gotten infested with fleas in the first place! ...So what happened? Were the treatments ineffective? Do they not work for wolves? But still, Harvey shouldn't have gotten infested with fleas too... 😔
