- Have you found this rare Starfield item? It's ridiculously rare but if you manage to find it consider yourself a man my son but more than that consider yourself a legend.

It's space keys that makes space piggy banks spawn. There, that's it, you can save your time now.
Go pound salt 👍
FYI, the landing distance is determined by your ship size and closest available landing pad. I confirmed this doing "The Hammer Falls", I landed with my "working" ship and ended up being miles away, reloaded my save changed ship to a smaller ship and landed on the pad just outside the factory.
wish it would do this when ur CF and land at abandoned hangars.
Fast travel is based on your ship size. Some POI's are too small for some ships.
300 hours and have never seen one.
I never saw cred tanks until after completing the CF quest line. Then they were spawning semi-regularly (In maybe half the POIs I explored.
Went into NG+ and they are still showing up without doing CF. I can still open them too but they’re much more rare since starting NG+
I have seen them in the first quest to clear the pirates to get to Jamison. After killing the boss I always go do one or two other locations nearby before going to the lodge for the first time to get a couple levels. There is a teramorph close by sometimes it’s a cave sometimes a small structure. The small structure (like a pipeline running through it) always has one of those chests. Of course it can’t be opened because no card but I just wanted to point out that they appear from the very start.
I came across a lot of these actually. They pop up in random spots. I like to keep my scanner on while I search the areas I visit.
Sided with UC, have seen a few caches-- even one on Sahar Farm on Cheyenne. Look for the blue glow.
They can show up anywhere...there is a specific poi that I continuously farm when it refreshes...and every once in a while one will be there...randomly
Found a trunk recently. Have done the quest, sided with the :UC (because I wanted to use their ports), found the chest in a crash site, when I tried to open it the lights went off and couldn't gain access. Had no idea what was going on. Probably stashed the key somewhere, I'll have to look.
I started seeing these before starting the Crimson Fleet quests simply by doing a bunch of Galbank quests. No way to open them until doing the CF questline obviously, but they're not tied to that quest.
Totally off topic, but, does anyone know how to unlock the legendary cache location from outpost venders, is it a side quest you must do first?
I sided with the UC though that whole quest line was brilliant & now i'll have to keep an eye out for trunks in the future....you can never have enough credits.
I've come across these cache a few times before completing the crimson fleet quest and I obviously not open it. There some in the vaa run embassy and I've found them in the larger landmarks. Not the randomly generated landmarks but the ones that were crafted by the devs. The biotics research center and that one resort on the planet I'm forgetting the name of. Sorry I can't be more help
That is true, I found GalBank cash once after the "eye of the storm" mission and opened it with galbank card, it's really rare, I spend many hours playing Starfield.
Tip, most of the time, after you land, you can fast travel to the point of interest, even if you haven't discovered it yet (if you selected it to land on). Go to your map and select it and you should be able to fast travel.
Perfect timing I’m doing the crimson fleet quest line now I’ll definitely be on the lookout 👀
I'm not sure there isn't something more to it. I'm level 92 and finished Galbank ship quests about level 35 or so if I remember correctly. Just started noticing these chest somewhat recently. Maybe they have other conditions or levels or something. When I mean noticing, I mean in places like that small three tier pirate facility that I've seen from the beginning but without these chest. The amounts I have been getting are pretty steady at about 3,400-4,500 credits similar to end of dungeon chest like the "soccer" ball chest. I did not know why I started seeing them or if I had missed them from beginning of game, but now you have informed of what is required, I know they have not been in my playthrough for very long.
I saw my first one yesterday. I'm level 125 and finished all quests I can find. The only thing i did recently was change the difficulty from Normal to the highest difficulty. (I'm not in NG+ yet)
My question is:
Can we go back and grab it long after we've done the quest?
BTW I was never given any sort of option at all. I was looking forward to it and kept bringing proof to UC Sysdef and kept doing the quests for CF until finally I was an enemy of UC Sysdef with no going back. Didn't know how far I needed to go back to load a save or anything. Really frustrating. But I love this game!
Wish Starfield had a 3rd option where you run off with Kryx's Legacy and keep it for yourself after finding someone to decrypt it for you, pissing off both factions.
I don't mind walking the 500m. Sometimes you can get some minerals along the way. Plus, if its a small moon, you can complete a quick survey, grab a little XP
I've found about 5 credtanks and I think the highest amount I got was around 7K credits. Not complaining though.....
That's pretty good. The most I've ever gotten was about 5000 Cr.
Where at? quit being a prude 😂
Hey I watched your video and thought you might find my experience useful. I have seen many of them, like around ten, but I think there are a few caveats here. First off I was well into LVL 130 before going into my first new game plus. I also completed the crimson fleet quest line first before anything else. Finally I have scavenging maxed out. I definitely noticed them more when I reach LVL 100 and that was when I put the last skill point into scavenging. Now that I am in ng+ I haven't seen them at all, but I haven't started the crimson fleet, I'm doing reujin and freestar collective. Cheers
Cool, I will keep a look out for this item. Thanks.
I found three of these within an hour after I completed the Crimson fleet storyline one was on a ship. One was in an abandoned hanger the one that has underground landing pad on the offices, side underground
I just started finding them lately. Usually in high level locations.
I found my first Gal bank vault early whist completing Failure to communicate I didn't have the key because I hadn't done the crimson fleet quest. And having been through the Unity multiple times. The vaults have been there every time. You'll find them at the end of the side quest on the space station 😊
These also randomly show up at the crashed ship debris locations.
One of the first missions on the Constellation mission board is to take out a pirate leader. When you go to that location there is a cred tank in the building. It was a deserted robot facility on a moon, Al Battani 1B
Ok I just found my 4th one, it's the Contraband cache, I died and the next time I passed the Contraband catch it had change to a Galbank cache. now we know what to look for, and to be sure it's the one with the blue top and bottom, not the yellow ones. let me know if you find one. same mission type.
@@craigg4925 It could be a while before I find anything of note. Since Bethesda's update didn't fix all their bugged quests, I've started from scratch to see if there's any difference.
@@2001perseus. yeah, I just happen to notice it, it was right behind the guy I needed to kill, it was luck that I even seen it. I tried doing one by restarting from a save and after about 50 try's I stopped. does dying change anything that a save reload don't?
there is a blue cache in the bunker on the red mile upper right side of the tower, but that one could be fixed. because it is always there.
@@craigg4925 I don't know the answer on dying or reloading saves changing things Craig. I control my frustrations with Bethesda's F'd up creations, by taking breaks and going back to old games that work. Assassin's creed black flag for one. As for the Red Mile, I don't go near that until I've got one hell of a gun. On one attempt I barely made it back and somehow all the animals got into the casino behind me. WTF?
@@2001perseus. I just run really fast, don't try to kill anything in the red mile. and yes, most of the time I play world of tanks. I'm retired so I don't do much these days. thanks for your input.
I found like 4-5 so far...usually in outposts where pirates are.
Maybe im too low for these things to spawn (lvl 25) and I haven't even started the quest lines yet. Im always a scrounger, so i go back through the facilities with my scanner open and check EVERYTHING! I've never seen one of these crates.
I've seen one of those on derelict ship that I explored. before I did the mission, so I had no way to open it.
I have only gotten 1 of them after completing the mission. It was located in a crashed ship area.
I've put several hundred hours into this game up to level 174 and more than 12 trips through Unity, and have only ever seen the credit tank on the Legacy ship.
I've seen about 5 of them so far. Random places in higher levels seem to be the only key.
I sided with the Crimson fleet. I want to say I think i've found 2 Galbank Cache's after completing the Crison Fleet mission. But just started new game plus so I won't see them any more
what weapon are you use in the clip
Chests are so random I've found some at ship crash sites
I have found them in some crashed space ship locations.
I think I got it during the Crimson fleet mission but lost it after NG+ so I will have to do that again lol. All that free money!!!
Your fast travelling gripe is solved by using a smaller ship.
Yes, I have it. Yes I see those chests regularly. Usually 4500 credits.
Got this a while back. Just do the quest, and you will get it.
Forse le casse si trovano nelle navi trasporto della galbank ma io non ho mai provato ad abbordarle
Oh, is this why I am seeing these now? I never knew this but they average about 4,500 to 5,500 so far.
Ok I just found my 4th one, it's the Contraband cache, I died and the next time I passed the Contraband catch it had change to a Galbank cache. now we know what to look for, and to be sure it's the one with the blue top and bottom, not the yellow ones. let me know if you find one.
You should have Mentioned they spawn after completing Kryx's legacy! I had to explain this to some people.
I sided with the UC and destroyed the Fleet. I still have the Galbank card and these boxes show up for me.
Yup I found one before I had the key and could not open it
When you come across, them & you have sam coe, he'll yell, "Ka Ching." I've come across about a dz of these in my play throughs. I've gotten around 3300-6500 credits. I've gotten credits from them before even completing a single CF campaign. You just come across them and then you stick a credit thing into it.
I just found another one in an Abandoned Robotics Factory held by ecliptic.

I wish this game were good, so I could motivate myself to turn it on again, but I just can’t. Hopefully the patches/dlc rescues it.
you can find them in the downed crached spaceships to on planets
I was wondering why these all of the sudden started popping up...I just thought it was an ng+ thing
I found one 20 minutes into my playthrough. I did not have the card so I could not do anything with it.
ive done 2 playthroughs and ng+ 10 and only found 1
I have been hoarding them, which is why you can’t find many. Need the cash to open a new vendor location, with $75k available funds.
i have found a few on crashed ships
I’ve found them at UC training camps
If they're so rare they should have a million credits minimum to make them worth hunting.
Nah. It’s adhesive or that strengthen tensile thingy. 👍
Not gonna lie it really frustated me that you couldn't get more credits from those boxes in the Legacy heist. Like I get it the point is give the big cash to either Sysdef or Crimson but wouldn't hurt to get an extra loot from the caches lying on the floor in that mission.
If you get all the evidence for toft, and jail most of the fleet higher ups,you get around a cool 250,000 credits.
Cause 99% of players are perpetually asleep playing this.
You get that from a main quest though
These caches are extremely rare and should have a lot more in them considering how easy it is to get credits from selling weapons and spacesuits you pick up on missions. I have not seen these caches anywhere other than the CF quest.
They are rare, yet I've ran across about a dz of them. Never gotten more than 6500 down to 3300ish credits from them.
I found one at a science outpost on Magnar
I'd say one of the most expensive and rare items is the earth savior's award it's worth 65,000 👍
I’ve found a few of these myself the most I’ve found is like 14000
I found one at a crashed plane site
Found one on maal-lv
I've found quite a lot of these Galbank caches, which surprised me because once the mission was over I didn't expect to see any more. They seem pretty random to me, but after watching this video, I'll pay more attention to where I find them in the future.
I think they should only be given to the players who complete the Crimson Fleet aspect of the mission as a reward for following that line, but I only did that version so I'm not sure if everybody gets them or not.
If you haven't completed the Crimson Fleet mission, MAJOR SPOILER ALERT AHEAD...
I have a question for the players who have done the UC/Crimson Fleet undercover missions: Were you betrayed by the UC for making a single error according to the General? I did everything he told me throughout the mission and then I killed some people in the final part of the mission that he wasn't happy about. (I had no choice!) So when I returned to him, he stripped me of my credentials and basically outlawed me, so that left me no choice but to go with the Crimson Fleet. Boy, was I mad at that, as I'd followed all of his instructions to the letter up to that point!!!
I sided with the Crimson Fleet But, I also did the Vanguard quest all the way through, so I get their quests and still have access to the Key and pirate quests. Best of both worlds.
Same thing happened to me
It is possible to complete the UC undercover storyline without killing anyone. It requires a lot of stealth and moving through vents. Quicksave often. If you get noticed or people gunning for you reload the quicksave. Try another path you may find a vent for safe cover.
Same thing happened to me
@@spydrzane6317 thanks, but I'm waaay beyond that mission now and I always play to the consequences of my actions, good or bad - like I'm still married to Andreja even though she nags constantly and does my head in! :D :D :D
At 5K, are the contents even worth bothering about?
I only found 4 of them
I have these in my game, and I sided with the UC.
or you can quick travel from some caves and not others
While I know the word 'cache' and you are using it correctly in-context, I have to ask WHY? They are called Credtanks in game, as seen in your own video! Does some NPC refer to them as *caches* at some point?
In my first run NG0 I finished the crimson fleet quest and sided with UC and for me the cashes showed up. I might nog have noticed them prior since every chest that contains something you can loot has blue glowing lights (take everything out a container and the light dims, put something into an empty container and the lights turn on, try it). So I might have been looking for the lighing up boxes missing the darkened (up to that point unopenable) Galbank cashes.
I have two. Keys, that is.
And... I just found a Galbank Cache at a BioChem Depot. Woo Hoo! Thanks for alerting us to looking for them.
I sided with UC and found one.
I've only found one and its random
Yes i have found this
Oooh not 20,000 credits😅 . There's much quicker ways of making money in starfield than waiting to get one of those
Sure, but what's wrong with free creds?
@@1Bearsfan more fun than using the command console for sure 😄👍
So rare box’s with credits worth a couple guns . F off
Might be rare, but good weapons and gear are even more so, and you can't go buy a specific model or quality, it's all worthless as you can't buy on demand. What's the point of faction progress, if you can't get higher gear quality, not even as part of story as some old games in 2003 - yeah I am looking at you Gothic, my first RPG. RNG drops are just worst thing in game and makes any progress questionable.
This is clickbait. It's pretty easy to find one and they won't make you rich. Lol
I’ve played 2000 hours and never seen one
You get one (or two) in the final mission of the Crimson Fleet.@@jessecollin4486
It's an item you pick up in the crimson fleet mission. I haven't found any gal bank chests anywhere other than this specific mission, and there's only 1 you can open.
DUOLF////////////????????????? F>>>D?
a handfull of cash trunks at lvl 97... extra rare for me.
I have 10 million credits banked.. and nothing to spend it on. I have the Starborn VI ship which will destroy any ship. And since this is not a multi player game and I am not playing or fighting against other people, like when I played Day Z. what's the point. . Once you get over 350 levels, there is nothing to do except repeat. This game is boring. I wish I could attack other players. And raid their out posts and kill them. I have a 2 million credit bounty on me. So bounty hunters try thier best but het killed. I was approached 4 times in one day by bounty hunters is that other players.
💘
Well spoken massive waste of time video…. You’re welcome for the interaction…….
dead game
dead opinion
@@jnk5212 haha comncurrent players about to drop below 10k buddy. the game was a failure
👺👎 I haven't seen a module or a cache like this yet in my 30d 2h 25m game save. I wonder if he could stretch a 30-60 sec. video to an hour next time. FFS 😑🖕🏼👺
