Only an hour's drive from Prague, the region of Liberec is one of the Czech Republic's best-kept secrets. The region's capital, also named Liberec, is a quaint city with authentic vibes and diverse architecture that reflects the city's history.
Beyond the city, the Crystal Valley is an area of outstanding natural beauty with long-standing glassmaking and fashion jewellery traditions. To the south of the Crystal Valley, the Bohemian Paradise and its otherworldly scenery take centre stage.
In this travel documentary, we're introducing you to the charms of the city of Liberec and the beauty of the Bohemian Paradise, but we're mostly focusing on the Crystal Valley, this enchanting world made of glass, and its importance for the local economy.
For centuries on end, this part of the world has been forged by the crafts of glassblowing and jewellery making. Nowadays, local artists and craftsmen continue this legacy by creating top-quality handmade glass items, keeping the production in the Czech Republic and encouraging young artists to learn the secrets of this art and evolve it.

The bad pronunciation of the city's name annoys me. Correct Czech not "Libereč" but "Liberetz"
Hey, thanks for your comment. Well, we're not Czech and, sadly, we don't speak Czech either. But we always do our best to show the charms of every destination we're visiting even if they're a bit mispronounced at times. And this is why it makes us sad that from this beautiful video about a wonderful place like Liberec you only kept the way the name is pronounced 🤷♀️🤷♀️
