You can save that lady when you first enter Markath. Just kill the guy before he kills her. You dont get in trouble and you get a reward. She's also part of a future quest if she lives.

If you have Serana with her dialog overhaul and do the Night To Remember quest, her dialog is hilarious. Serana will tell you she got drunk too and started fondling all the statues in the temple of Dibella

I really genuinely like that they didn't make her a marriage candidate. its a strong choice for the character - marriage in Skyrim is so shallow and would feel really.. bizarre to have Serana as like a housewife. They would have to remake the system.
There's also sapphire from the thieves guild. When she was young bandits killed her family and did the R word with her for weeks until she gained their trust and killed them while they were sleeping. But my guess this might be a little too heavy even for this video.

Not necessarily, since the phase "consummating love" often refers to doing it after their wedding. There are many couples that have intercourse at least once before getting married, and still consider having intercourse on the wedding night to be "consummating their love".

You forgot the Reikling cave where there's a hut with numerous linen wraps, several copies of both Lusty Argonian Maid volumes and a spell book for Telekinesis. Don't want to even think of what the Reikling is doing.
There's also a letter from Vex to Delvin in the Thieves' Guild where she said, if she catched him sneaking around while she bathed again, she'd cut off his "most valuable asset".

Funny thing is, if you've played the Tribunal Expansion of Morrowind, you can meet both Queen Barenziah and the author of The Real Barenziah in Mournhold. It didn't happen. The DB did agree to marry the hagraven in a drunken stupor, but didn't sleep with it. When you arrive to collect the ring she says she wants to consummate their love, meaning they haven't done anything just yet.

Bruh, I knew about Helga "hobby" and even understood why there are books and stamina potions in her room, but I neither acknowledged or connected the fact that she also possesed jar of honey, leather strips, shackles and (oh god) horker tusk. In societies where a young woman having sex before marriage is considered taboo they commonly refer to the woman as having been "defiled", her "purity" stolen and so forever tainted and valueless. As society in the Elder Scrolls is mostly inspired by medieval society I always assumed the line referred to that way of thinking as medieval societies usually thought that way. It seemed to me like he was one of those rogue scoundrel types that sweet talked young inexperienced girls into falling in love with him, taking their virginity then leaving them heartbroken when he leaves and they find out he was just using them. Then again, it's always possible he's not telling the full truth. If he really did as you thought he might have done it's not like he'd ever tell you. In all honesty there's no-one in that room whose word can be trusted, all four of them (Astrid included) have it entirely in their best interests to lie to you.

I ended up putting 2 and 2 together when I kept looking at the Dibella Goddess of Lust and her niece who always complains about cleaning. There was someone who actually loved visiting Helga too. I finally thought to myself "Wait a minute, why would the niece hate cleaning this place? It's just a normal tavern...unless it's not." *Looked at Statue of Dibella for a solid minute* "OH FUCK! Hope the niece doesn't get in on the action!"
Something that’s more disturbing, it’s normal to find broomsticks, kids clothes, wooden swords, and child’s dolls in chests and the like in places like the sky temple where the priests slept, bandit hideouts, thieves guild even. Yeah… best to just buy gifts for your kids at the shops…

I got to the part where I supposed to break off the engagement, but I just convinced Ysolda that I was sorry and to tell me where to go. And then you wake up the next morning and see a guy in a trench coat with funny hat go like: "GOOD MORNING! Vault-Tec calling!" Then you actually wake up, realizing it was just a short nightmare, until you smell the cold air and feel the ground under your feet shake, you realize you're sitting, your hands tied and someone right infront of you goes off with: "Hey you, you're finally awake!" Then you wake up again and realize, that you're ultimatively fucked, because infront of you, you see a grey-ish pale dude with a golden mask. "Is this how you honor the sixth house and the tribe unmourned?!" Then you wake up, to Nazeem, blabbering about the Cloud District again. Then you wake up in a nice cozy warm house, a nice warm fire is illuminating the place and then a random nord starts singing christmas-like songs and you realize you're not in a bed, but in a cage. And then you wake up in the bathroom, about to shave your beard until some random black guy bursts through the wall and starts talking about something called "Old Spice" and the dude is constantly yelling and sniffing himself... Wait that was not from Elder scrolls, what the- *OLD SPICE POWER WASH! IT'S TOO POWERFUL TO STAY IN IT'S OWN UNIVERSE!* Okay i stop now.
Something I noticed about haelga's bunkhouse: At some point, you find a "Falmer blood elixir" on one of the end tables next to her bed. The elixir in mind is a scam brynjolf talks about in the marketplace. One of the traits about it he markets is "making love like a sabre cat". So that's some really good attention to detail.
The ritual is the mimic of the creation of the first ever Vampire. Molag Bal greats them to death then reanimates the corpse with his own blood. They're classified as "True vampires" or the daughters of coldharbor
Y'know, you can get some unique dialogue in Markarth. If you kill the forsworn agent before he murders the woman, you can get some unique dialogue from her. Its not much help, but its attention to detail at least.
Regarding Helga. First time I met her was a couple of days ago and while I saw everything and read everything, I have to admit it never crossed my mind that she was doing it for money. I just thought she was very...liberated. I still did the mission against her, but that was strictly because she was always so rude towards me. So frak her. Just not literally. Unfortunately.
There's one other detail about Healga's Room worth mentioning: Falmer Blood Elixir. Despite Brynolf having several bottles of the stuff at his stand, you can't actually interact with them. The only bottle of Falmer Blood Elixir in the game you can actually use is in Healga's Room. But why there of all places? Well... because according to Brynolf, drinking it allows you to "make love like a Sabre Cat"!

My adventure in skyrim typically consisted of having a follower around. Since I already have Shadowmere? He just follows me around too. Now, I base vanilla skyrim on console. So no mods. Yes, I'm a high elf but I trained under Akatosh himself. Turns out Skyrims got some kinky stuff going on
The Dragonborn has more of a right to live in Sovngarde than anyone, considering that they are the reincarnation of Shor/Lorkhan, the guy who made Sovngarde in the first place.

A bunkhouse isn't an inn. It's more akin to a hostel or, if you stretch the analogy, an Airbnb. There are no short stays of a night or two; your *renting* the bed for at least a week. You're expected to contribute to cooking and cleaning and other tasks. "You've come to the wrong place" is a not uncommon way for a matron or master of a bunkhouse to tell someone that all the beds are rented out, often two or three times over.
Everything else you call attention to in that segment has pretty normal connotations too, even taken altogether. Saying that Helga herself MIGHT be doing something is fair enough if a bit narrow minded but saying that the bunkhouse is a brothel based on the things you pointed out is more of a stretch than Trump's election claims.

A Night To Remember is a crazy quest. Is the reward worth it? Hmm, ya. You get a large flower stave(or staff, I forgor) which spawns a Dremora Kyneeve, I believe that’s what it’s called. Essentially, spawning a Daedra lord with a powerful Daedric sword and Daedric armor you cannot loot.
Do you ask the food for consent before eating? Do you ask your bed for consent before sleeping in it? That is the best way I can explain Molag’s logic when it comes to his r*ping hobby.
I’ve never understood why they’re rated M, or in my country 18. I think T for teen or 15 is a much fairer rating they deserve. They’re always way harder on games than movies I’ve noticed.

Haelga's Bunkhouse is not the most crazy. In fact, it's pretty much spelled out for even the most innocent of minds. If youre not that inquisative and missed all the stuff you talked about from her room, (which you also missed the falmer blood elixer. If you're not sure why that's important, talk to Brynjolf) you can talk to Hselga's assistant, Svana who asks you to collect a few tokens from men Haelga slept with.
When i did the cannibals quest i realized how many there were and that if i killed them i would never come back to markath so i loaded a save and ignored this quest by i think just killing the first canibal i encountered in the hall of the dead
@@slimpickins09er87 I remember being horrified about the whole thing maybe i repressed the memory, I do remember thinking I could not do that and that i had to kill them (in my mind, not as a quest) But in the end i loaded a safe and killed the woman that talks to you at the beginning of the whole thing.
@Angie Maestre I'm not 100% on that but I'm pretty sure you complete the quest once the dinner was served. I don't recall not being able to use that shopkeeper. You get a deadric ring for completing it and an achievement or trophy once all deadric quest are complete on the consoles.

I second this, Sam spawned in Ivarstead for me and I think I had him spawn in WIndhelm once too
And you can shortcut the quest by persuasion and you do not have to deal with those hagravens ... again.
And then it all turns into a fever dream since whenever you complete the quest, you spawn back inside whichever tavern you meet Sanguine

The best way to go about the cannibalism quest line is to finish it, then use the companion you get from it as a sacrifice to Boethiah in the *Boethiah’s Calling* quest line.
Then, return to the cannibal cult with your new Ebony Shadow Mail, and slaughter all of them.

I just murdered everyone at the feast as a werewolf, making sure to eat each heart, and then I ate from each corpse as a human, and then I resurrected each corpse and punched each corpse to death
#5 also has a quest connected to it, where you actually go and meet the "lucky ones". You then get a bunch of Sapphires and confront Haelga with them.
A Night to Remember can be started from any major city inn, depending on which city the Dragonborn visits first.
Not only the major inns. Literally any inn in the entire game, and I know this because first time I meet Sam at inn, in village where this staircase to the graybeards lead.
Second one I meet him in inn in Dragon Brigde
If you turn him down or walk away when he challenges you, he pops up in random Inns all over Skyrim.

You know, at least from looking at the uesp entries on A Night To Remember and Moira, I don't think it ever particularly states or implies they specifically did. And with the flexibility of Elder Scrolls lore, your version of the Dragonborn may have just went on a date with a hagraven and proposed to her. :)

It didn't happen. The DB did agree to marry the hagraven in a drunken stupor, but didn't sleep with it. When you arrive to collect the ring she says she wants to consummate their love, meaning they haven't done anything just yet.
I'm starting to think I'm the only one who sniped the Hagraven from afar and didn't even think about talking to her...

It's about a Male Argonian Bard who is talking to a female patron (Race unknown, I may have to go and double check if they mention her race, but I presume she is some race of man.) And she asks him if she can... "Hold his Lute." And that it is, "A fine instrument." ... I can't remember the true name, but it's something "Argonian Bard."

Bruh, I knew about Helga "hobby" and even understood why there are books and stamina potions in her room, but I neither acknowledged or connected the fact that she also possesed jar of honey, leather strips, shackles and (oh god) horker tusk. Entire Elder Scrolls lore is 12+ on surface, but when you look deeper, it become mix of gore, dark comedy, and pornography. Who knows about things like Reman, Morihaus and bosmers, knows...

In societies where a young woman having sex before marriage is considered taboo they commonly refer to the woman as having been "defiled", her "purity" stolen and so forever tainted and valueless. As society in the Elder Scrolls is mostly inspired by medieval society I always assumed the line referred to that way of thinking as medieval societies usually thought that way. It seemed to me like he was one of those rogue scoundrel types that sweet talked young inexperienced girls into falling in love with him, taking their virginity then leaving them heartbroken when he leaves and they find out he was just using them.
Then again, it's always possible he's not telling the full truth. If he really did as you thought he might have done it's not like he'd ever tell you. In all honesty there's no-one in that room whose word can be trusted, all four of them (Astrid included) have it entirely in their best interests to lie to you.

I didn't notice anything about the Necromancer or the Lusty Argonian Maid and it took me actual years to realize the Brothel. I ended up putting 2 and 2 together when I kept looking at the Dibella Goddess of Lust and her niece who always complains about cleaning. There was someone who actually loved visiting Helga too. I finally thought to myself "Wait a minute, why would the niece hate cleaning this place? It's just a normal tavern...unless it's not." *Looked at Statue of Dibella for a solid minute* "OH FUCK! Hope the niece doesn't get in on the action!"
Something that’s more disturbing, it’s normal to find broomsticks, kids clothes, wooden swords, and child’s dolls in chests and the like in places like the sky temple where the priests slept, bandit hideouts, thieves guild even. Yeah… best to just buy gifts for your kids at the shops…
To be fair, the bunkhouse isn't a brothel, most of the merchants sleep there. It's a "bunkhouse for the workers of riften", as Haelga puts it.
However, she does sleep around, but well... That's Dibella's worship for you

At some point, you find a "Falmer blood elixir" on one of the end tables next to her bed. The elixir in mind is a scam brynjolf talks about in the marketplace. One of the traits about it he markets is "making love like a sabre cat". So that's some really good attention to detail.

It was a response to an attempt of courtship. So long as he abides by that response, his assets are in no danger.
Y'know, you can get some unique dialogue in Markarth. If you kill the forsworn agent before he murders the woman, you can get some unique dialogue from her. Its not much help, but its attention to detail at least.
Regarding Helga.
First time I met her was a couple of days ago and while I saw everything and read everything, I have to admit it never crossed my mind that she was doing it for money. I just thought she was very...liberated. I still did the mission against her, but that was strictly because she was always so rude towards me. So frak her. Just not literally. Unfortunately.
I personally think she really is just a very 'devout' follower of Dibella. Plenty of other Skyrim NPCs have strongboxes near their bed w/ coinage.

There's one other detail about Healga's Room worth mentioning: Falmer Blood Elixir. Despite Brynolf having several bottles of the stuff at his stand, you can't actually interact with them. The only bottle of Falmer Blood Elixir in the game you can actually use is in Healga's Room. But why there of all places?
Well... because according to Brynolf, drinking it allows you to "make love like a Sabre Cat"!

The Dragonborn has more of a right to live in Sovngarde than anyone, considering that they are the reincarnation of Shor/Lorkhan, the guy who made Sovngarde in the first place.

It is more likely the DB is a type of mortal incarnation of Talos, who kinda replaced Lorkhan in the pantheon anyway.
A bunkhouse isn't an inn. It's more akin to a hostel or, if you stretch the analogy, an Airbnb. There are no short stays of a night or two; your *renting* the bed for at least a week. You're expected to contribute to cooking and cleaning and other tasks. "You've come to the wrong place" is a not uncommon way for a matron or master of a bunkhouse to tell someone that all the beds are rented out, often two or three times over.
Everything else you call attention to in that segment has pretty normal connotations too, even taken altogether. Saying that Helga herself MIGHT be doing something is fair enough if a bit narrow minded but saying that the bunkhouse is a brothel based on the things you pointed out is more of a stretch than Trump's election claims.

A Night To Remember is a crazy quest. Is the reward worth it? Hmm, ya. You get a large flower stave(or staff, I forgor) which spawns a Dremora Kyneeve, I believe that’s what it’s called. Essentially, spawning a Daedra lord with a powerful Daedric sword and Daedric armor you cannot loot.
So we're just gonna ignore that the priestess also told you you violated the dibala statue? I'm cool with not saying nothing I'm just checkin

I’ve never understood why they’re rated M, or in my country 18. I think T for teen or 15 is a much fairer rating they deserve. They’re always way harder on games than movies I’ve noticed.

Haelga's Bunkhouse is not the most crazy. In fact, it's pretty much spelled out for even the most innocent of minds.
If youre not that inquisative and missed all the stuff you talked about from her room, (which you also missed the falmer blood elixer. If you're not sure why that's important, talk to Brynjolf) you can talk to Hselga's assistant, Svana who asks you to collect a few tokens from men Haelga slept with.

When i did the cannibals quest i realized how many there were and that if i killed them i would never come back to markath so i loaded a save and ignored this quest by i think just killing the first canibal i encountered in the hall of the dead
You don't have to kill them. You just have to provide the meal.
@@slimpickins09er87 I remember being horrified about the whole thing maybe i repressed the memory, I do remember thinking I could not do that and that i had to kill them (in my mind, not as a quest) But in the end i loaded a safe and killed the woman that talks to you at the beginning of the whole thing.
@Angie Maestre I'm not 100% on that but I'm pretty sure you complete the quest once the dinner was served. I don't recall not being able to use that shopkeeper. You get a deadric ring for completing it and an achievement or trophy once all deadric quest are complete on the consoles.
