      He never played like a fringe top 75 guy last 3 seasons though. Literally had 3 of the 5 greatest seasons ever by all metrics that measure impact independently from different angles. The other two? MJ and Lebron. The chance that the metrics were wrong was exceedingly low but yet everyone chose to nitpick and somehow stats were overrated.

      There was never a post season moment you can point to and say hey that's why I'm skeptical about this dude, which you can say on just about any NBA star. So to me the skepticism is still weird given his goat level regular seasons.

    Nick, how are you not contradictory about Jokic? The dude has been the best postseason performer the last 3 years. How is it his fault he had key guys missing during the runs the previous 2 seasons? The closest Jokic came to choking was against the Lakers in 2020, but nobody had him as a better player than LeBron and AD then so it's not really a choke job.
    Your ignorance of Jokic's postseason prowess does not make him a poor postseason performer prior to this season.

    Nick mentioned FG% from Jokic and Giannis which was very misleading. FG% is a terrible indicative for efficiency. You HAVE TO look at either true shooting, or points per possession, which takes 3 pointer, free throws and your overall shot profile all into consideration. Giannis actually had a subpar scoring year but if you looked at his FG% you'd think he's efficient by mistake.
    And yes Jokic is more efficient than Giannis in 2019 despite having 3% lower in FG%. And Jokic had 70% TS this regular season. That's called outrageously, unfathomably efficient and nobody else in the history of nba has ever touched it.

    • @mence5992
      @mence5992 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are partially right. Fg% alone doesn't tell the all story. But combined with point Is pretty close to be and Advance stat. Because getting points with Two pointers Is "harder" so yes shooting 3s lowers your fg% but also bumbs up your points.
      Also fg% gives you easily information about how many times you taking a short gave the opponents the ball for a transition. I think points+FG Is a pretty good way to give information about a scoring night. But yes advanced metrica Will Always be the best way to tell something apart

    If you think about it Nick, Denver did not have a particularly great game either and they still dominated. So imagine, if Denver dominated a game while playing bad then what will Denver do now that the rust is off. I would be very worried if I were the Heat.
