  • I run through assembly of our Massey Ferguson multipower control valve. The same valve is used on many Massey Ferguson tractors so things learnt here will help with other Massey models.

Its a relief valve because the clutch pack is a dead short the pressure then reliefs to lube and the spring keeps the desired pressure on the clutch pack

Yes thats all I can see it would do, John Deere has a similar adjustable one for clutch system pressure but no adjustment here.

Would this valve affect a mf165 that just suddenly had the pto and multi power high stop working? If I stop the tractor and restart the pto and high works for a short amount of time but goes back to not working…

I would start with the filter but your PTO would be a slipping clutch on a 165 I would think.

    Gday Lance
Got my mf135 multipower today. First thing I was going to do was replace hydraulic/gearbox oil. I don't think multipower works and it was suggested I change the hydraulic oil filter behind pto handle cover plate. Then I have discovered there is another filter( screen type) in the same cavity for the multipower. Do you have any experience in cleaning that and how to get to it?You didn't mention it on the multipower rebuild. Any info would be appreciated.
    Cheers Ian McKay from Markwood

To do thay one you need to split the tractor and get the pump out, big job. Just check the valve control ron duner the battery cover is adjusted properly.

Just double checking that you know I mean the multipower filter, not the control box you pulled apart and took videos of . I understand the filter looks like a cigarette box.

The multi power actually works, I just want to clean filter before I refill the tractor with hydraulic oil

I was able to get out both oil filters thru the pto handle plate. Clean them and put them back in. A bit tight but doable. The sparex filter for the main hydraulic pump was too tall to fit so I had to reuse old one ( just for your info. Cheers

Is the mf-50 multi-power the same as the 135?
