Spraying the track will cut down on wrecks as well. In the last 2 seasons I think only 3 tracks had the timing system that they couldn't adjust to prevent guessing.
Not really... it's really more about how they have their photo cells setup up than taking the amber bulbs out of the .400 Pro Tree. Or is NPK playing with the .400? If they are, they'll probably tighten it up for the next round... then look for a lot of guessers to see red.

This can be fixed easy in my opinion, just go to pro tree and eliminate the bs. Not racing on a street anyway, so the instant green is irrelevant at this point. It makes it about who is the better guesser, and not the better driver, with the faster car. Pro tree would eliminate all this stupid drama, although the ones making the decisions want the drama, so good luck. Much respect Kye, you have grown on me over the years and I have a true respect for your passion for the sport.

Tire crack camera we use them in no prep. If tire cracks before the lights on it's a jump.
Kye uses Crack to stay awake at night. He does not need to film his crack use.

The problem is even with $1000 if they jump if they do it 5 times it costs them $5000 to win $30,000. They need to change the timing of the tree so people can't do that anymore. It's a punk out

That is if they win the entire event. They jump first round, they lose $1000. They get whipped second round, they put the car on the trailer and they're out $1000. They jump first round and go red, they're out $1000 and they pack up.
The problem with your MATH is a jump only guarantees you 30 grand in the final round

They are letting go of the button before green but by the time they move it’s green so basically cutting double 0 light . I feel like that’s bullshit because they are guessing . They need to change the delay or have the official drop the light manually whenever he feels like it .

This is the Problem with going on Green there is a flaw with some of the software that allows them to jump with no Red light. Kye Dude knew he couldn't beat you straight up
Your 100% correct, there wasn't 1 red light all day Friday and up to the 3rd round on Saturday till one of the small tire guy's went up to Boosted and talked to him about it, I was watching the live feed and heard them talking, as their talking one of the 7.90 car's leave and gets 30 ft out and he doesn't go red and he's like going to Boosted " did you see that " Boosted walked away towards the Tower but the Camera didn't follow him so I can't say for sure but the next round of 7.90 car's someone finally got a red light.

I remember when cutting a good light was part of racing. Wait, it still is.
I watched 6 hours of racing at the track yesterday and aside from a couple cars, every single person tried to cut/guess the light.
It’s racing, it’s legal and everyone does it.
Turning the blower shaft instead of the crankshaft with the long-handled ratchet wrench may have been the culprit? Idk just stoned and guessing lol.......but

I hate to say it, love watching you race, been a fan since the first time you wore out dave, but maybe its time you stop letting them kids work on your car. maybe just for a couple races, see if you can get that thing all ironed out. I don't know exactly how the lights work, but it seems pretty simple to set a camera to the light and the tire, and if you crack the tire before green, it's a jump.

There’s one simple reason NPK isn’t jumping at the chance to change the rule or the tree and it’s right here…controversy adds drama, drama adds viewership and viewership adds revenue!!!

It's not a TV show anymore though.
I worked on the engines these blowers were designed for. Remember people adapted them from 2 stroke diesel engines for drag racing. The drive system on them is designed to break easily. The shaft from the original engines is barely bigger than a chicken bone. I don't know about gear sets for drag racing but they can't be much bigger than that. The gears aren't much bigger than vegetable tins. I'm surprised you don't see more breakage in the drive system. It wasn't abnormal for us to get them broken in the shop and we ran them a third of the rpm than racing does.
Because this is a completely different supercharger design than what you are talking about. These aren't old style roots blowers.

If we had a blower car in eliminations we would always let them do their burnout first, and we would go really slow backing the car and staging so the blower car could make heat and more horsepower, sometimes it helped and other times it helped the blower car make a amazing pass, we only did it because we were out horse powered and them having to abort a run was our only chance at winning, we would always be a tenth and half behind
They will never go to a pro tree. The drama makes for great videos. They are not about racing, they are about what makes the videos look good!!
When set up the tree for the instant green they messed something up, no one turned on the red light all day Friday and till just before the Semis, on the live feed Boosted and a small tire guy were talking about it and as their talking a car in the right lane got about 30 ft out and didn't red light and the guy jumps up and says to Boosted " did you see that " Boosted walked away it looked like he went to the Tower, 2 pairs into the 7.90 class someone red lighted, i wouldn't be surprised if some of the drivers knew about the problem, when was the last time you saw so many people guessing the light.

The thing is that Race Control has to call it. If it doesn't get called it doesn't matter. It sucks but it doesn't matter if it ain't called by Race Control.
Race control? You talking about the guys in the tower? They don't have a say in it. In the rules the light was green and isn't a jump. It's why most of the tracks don't have the timing system that prevents the guessing but unfortunately not every track has that ability
@@MidgetPunter I did use the phrase very loosely, and in a very general way.
My thinking though is if the racers themselves have cameras that record every stinking angle of the race from their point of view, then the tracks should be able to watch the race for such matters.
For a track to be sanctioned by the various racing series there must needs be consistent timing and scoring. In that equipment there should be the ability and technology to record the Starting Line events. Remember these guys aren't going to mom and pop race tracks for these events. They are going to national tracks. So yes, Race Control should exist in some form and manner.
I really don't think these teams are going to race in a series that pays out $30k to $40k per race for first place and there isn't some sort of timing and scoring, race control.

If they would just use a random light from 0 to 5 second delay after all 4 stage lights are lit it would stop all the bullshit games.
No one wants to be on the button for 5 seconds. 0-2 seconds would work 5 seconds is a lot on those engines.
5 sec and transmissions are nearly cooked especially on turbo cars that have already been on the button building boost.
This is simply inexperience talking. They will be running through transmissions like crazy if they TB for 5 seconds.

@@user-ed8bm6pq3v the issue with it is at like 2 seconds (this would be about the max) but even that's a while to be on the button, it's now so short that if you mentally track the time you know you can let go of the button at a certain count and never worry about going red. Two things work the easiest is of course a pro tree. The other is a tire crack rule but that that opens it up for debate/opinion. At this point it's not about "street racing" it's just no prep that is why a pro tree is the way to go. Currently they supposed to wait for the green then react. Some are guessing and it's a BS way to try and beat a better car/driver.

Unpopular opinion maybe... Instant green with slow mo cams on both lanes for a tire crack rule. NPK is supposed to be different than normal NHRA, run it more like a street race.
