My high school teenage crush back in the day! Tiffany came second. I played the SH_T out of the Out Of The Blue album! Always remember the Debbie Gibson / Tiffany music battles. Good ol' days!
Debbie Gibson had to have influenced other performers!!!! She did almost everything herself, right? Writing her own songs, playing keyboards and maybe other instruments, dancing, etc! Wow!!! 😎👍
And there's Britney who couldn't even write a single chorus to save her life became massively huge. It's so sad that most people don't see the real talent of an artist.
If you wanted to be noticed back then, you HAD TO appear on AB. Or in the case of black performers, Soul Train. Once you did that, you knew you were on your way to the top.

Epilogue: Both Songs cited have since been assigned to Music Sales Corporation (ASCAP).
OMG! Do you notice the similarity in the design and layout of Britney Spear's debut album and Debbie's debut album in the video? The pink colored backdrop and the look and colors of the two font sizes. I think that originally Britney's debut album was supposed to be just self-titled as Britney Spears but her record company probably decided to name it Baby One More Time to sound more appealing to the fans. At least Out Of The Blue sounds clean and fun.
Oh wow I never noticed but that makes sense. I guess record labels were trying to find a 90s version of Debbie and they found it in Britney. Although Britney was a lot edgier
@@noemistephanie93 it seems Debbie Gibson is always just swept under the rug I always hear about Madonna and then Britney But I never hear how before there was Britney There was Debbie Gibson
@@Nick-zn1vj I agree. I think people forget her cause she wasn’t raunchy or overly sexual like Madonna and Britney were. They didn’t like that she was a good girl

Cute!
She reminds me of the blonde girl from "Kate & Allie" here.
Allison Smith : )
@@johnnyhatesjazz1878 Yes!
Had the biggest crush on her
I don't know but she looks like Carly Rae Jepsen here. Debbie's from the 80s and Carly made an 80s inspired bum!
