    I still love that clip of Yelich and Braun going back to back to beat the Cardinals. The continuous footage where the crowd is still buzzing over Yelich's HR when Braun clobbers the first pitch for a no doubter. It's just so good!

    One of the saddest moments was the retirement of Yelich's bat after the 2019 season.

      Unfortunately we signed Yelich to hit over .333 consistently. He’s hitting .287 which is what he hit when we traded for him. We traded for the .287 Yelich not the .333. Am I glad we have him. Sure. But when you are getting paid 200+ million guaranteed for 10 years. That’s a little much to be hitting only .287. And remember the season is only half over. Yelich could still slide a lot.

      @@justingorton9596average is a very overrated stat in this day and age. He leads the team in obp and ops and rbis. The ops is at .855 which is higher than it’s been the past few yrs and would like to see him strike above .900 as the 2 mvp seasons he had over 1.000. If you wanna talk about avg hitting over .270 now is impressive itself. Sure it’s not 200 mil numbers but you have to take what you can get and he’s been better than ever rn

      @@dcanation7578 his OBP has always been great. But let’s look at slugging since you don’t want to look at average. His slugging has dropped nearly 200 points. Also it’s not you get what you get. Literally if you get paid 200+ million you have to perform. Yelich had those two MVP seasons before the contract. He got the contract then proceeded to suck. Is he better then he was yeah. But he’s cost us contracts and money with other player. Brewers have a lot of free agents soon in key roles. Do you really prefer no pitching to really speak of vs having Yelich be the “get what you get, I get paid 200+ million man and I still am slightly average at best man”?

    How Prince Fielder's 3 homerun game wasn't part of this baffles me. I was at it and the crowd absolutely lost it after homerun number 3. The crew already had clinched a playoff spot and the white on to October towels were waving like crazy. A game I will never forget.

    I was blessed to witness both #1 & #2 in person. Also the Easter Sunday game in '87. Few things churn emotion like sports memories of teams you live & die with. Thanks for posting.

    The only thing better than the Brewers beating the Cubs for the division title after Brewer fans over ran that dump know as Wrigley Field was the Cubs completing their epic collapse one game later against the Rockies at home. They go from division lead to season over in 3 games.

    Good video! I agree with the picks. I was fortunate to be at some of those games. I was at a lot of the games during Molitors hit streak. I was able to go to two of the ALCS games, but didn't get to any WS series games. The first game of the 82 WS was a big moment for the Crew.

    I'm glad Cecil Cooper's 1982 hit made the Top 5. That was an old school moment that may go overlooked. Nijer's hit against Arizona always gives me chills. It's top 2. Your choice of number 1 was a good pick. It wasn't a base hit, but a memorable defensive play.

      Getting a world series birth and especially it being still the Brewers only World Series birth ever is the reason why I put it at number 1. I should have put Cecil Coopers hit and that final out as both number 1 but I honestly couldn't think of other plays that could make 20 moments. Thank You

      Do you remember Sixto Lezcano hitting a grand slam in a home opener? I can't remember the year, but it was a big deal because there wasn't much to cheer about back then.

    • @bemore1134
      @bemore1134 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ppj0241 I was there. IIRC it was opening day 1980. I also remember a grand slam by George Scott off of Sam McDowell in about '73 or '74. It was during a time when the team wasn't very good, but it came at a clutch time in the game & it almost hit the back wall of the bleachers at County Stadium. Not a top 20 but a memorable moment for a kid.
