Would’ve been a better video if jimmy had to play red into middle pocket to get position on pink then open reds.

This is the skill about snooker. What seems like such a basic shot, and doesn't seem that spectacular makes all the difference. I've seen much better positional shots but as Jimmy says, there wasn't really any leg room otherwise break over
actually the great shot is on the red' to create the perfect angle
The problem with Andy Goldstein is in his head, he is incredibly entertaining, funny and informative. The issue is, none of that comes across on tv...

Jimmy fools me every time. Addresses the cue ball as though he's looking for deep screw, then executes a stun run through. Been doing it for 40 years and it still fools me.
Watched him play at my snooker club recently. He still does this and it is very odd to watch, he cues almost into the cloth for his feathers and then cues elsewhere on the white for the actual shot. Can't argue with the results though.
I love how Reanne chimes in like she knows how to play the game to any decent level.
On Wikipedia it says she has 2 century breaks lol.
I don’t like complaining about presenters on tv as it’s a very difficult job but Andy knows basically nothing about the game and can be very irritating at times ☹️

Andy actually knows about the game, but his job is just manage the time and ask questions to those who know a lot about it
Rui Ferreia yes we can allocate for that but sometimes I wonder if he even realises how stupid some of the questions are, like the players don’t even know how to react to him at times. But like I said I do realise that it’s not an easy job but come on
he's just playing devil's advocate, which let's be honest is perfect as a presenter

@@AndyPerry1972 I love most northern accents (Yorkshire, Lancashire, Manchester even Geordie!), a remit under which Wigan falls I think. Also, scouse comes in at second worst to brummy for me!

This was obviously a really nice shot, but I think they may be overhyping the difficulty a bit
They were emphasising on the positional side from red to pink to get the angle to nudge the red on as there was no room for error and would be end of break, you need to listen and take notice more! The shot from pink to nudge the red out was straight forward.

@@ack7056Yep the professional snooker player who has managed around 10 competitive century breaks in the last 16 odd years, it shows you the level she plays at and the level of competition she's played with to win 12 world titles, with that amount of centuries.
She's a below average player at best, but because she is female, she gets to take part in things like this.

That's a cheat - he should've started with the red into the middle
I thought that, that was the much more difficult positional shot, even though cannoning the reds, just right, was difficult. But, nevertheless, shows the brilliance of Ronnie, as the ordinary snooker fan, like myself, wouldn't have twigged that without the likes of Jimmy highlighting it. Pure O Sullivan genius, and what ultimately separates him from the rest

So for example if your Nan is watching and has never played she now knows the stun run through shot as well as sticking of piss.....
