@@RyanArab the surgery is super chilled and I was able to go home the same day. I also had a nerve block so didn't have any pain until the following night after my operation and let me tell you it was bad! Looking back I should have been taking the painkillers regardless of the nerve block because it would have prevented the pain. It is important that I add that I have quite a high pain tolerance. The pain only lasted about two days and now almost a week after my op I don't have much pain but it seems to come and go. to be honest, the cast is super chilled and comfortable - in my opinion, I prefer it to the boot - Showering is not easy but I hate it when I don't shower so I managed to shower every 2 days because, to be honest, it is exhausting. It was 6 months ago but my doctor said that i dont have to do a surgery and it will be okay.but now i still feel pain in my ankle and somethings its colour changes to red.....should i di this surgery?
In March this year, I twisted my left ankle after landing on an opponent’s foot during a basketball game. For some reason, my opponent extended his leg forward under me, and I landed on it. Those who play basketball know that twisting an ankle happens once every few years, and it usually heals within a few weeks. This time, I thought it would be the same, but the pain persisted. I ended up consulting ten orthopedic surgeons; only the ninth and tenth confirmed a tear in the talofibular ligament and recommended surgery. On November 7, 2024, I underwent the operation and am now in the first stage of rehabilitation. Today is the third day post-operation, and the pain has slightly subsided. If anyone is interested, feel free to ask questions-I’ll be happy to answer them. I’ll also periodically update my status here.
