Great video. I was only wondering if there is a way to set up a welcome bot in StreamElements to have it auto shoutout from StreamElements, rather than Streamlabs?
Not related to the raid stuff but you seem to be really familiar with streamelements. Is there a way to automatically add 1000 points when someone gambles and loses all their points?
Sorry for the late reply. Not a way natively, but perhaps a way to rig something similar using another bot (since bots cannot reply to themselves, you would need a second bot). Theoretically (I have not tested this) you could use Fossabot, with cooldowns setup similar to how I do auto shoutouts: th-cam.com/video/7789TOJAZKE/w-d-xo.html The closest I can think of (again have not tested) would be a one time use per stream command. The catch would be people could theoretically give themselves 1000 points per stream, but on the flip side that could also be an incentive to keep them popping back into each stream. NAme it whatever you want in Fossabot, like !allowance or something funny. Then the "reply" in that command would be "!addpoints $(sender) 1000". Since you'll have fossabot as a moderator, it should have permission to add points. Next step will be to make sure in the command you configure a USER cooldown in seconds (NOT a global cooldown). Then you can do something crazy like 18000 (for 5 hours or whatever) and each user will only be able to do it once per stream.
@@StreamTechTV Hey thank you! I added fossabot and got it setup to trigger when someone loses all their money. Very much appreciate the pointers in your detailed reply!
This was a HUGE help, thank you! Question: Can an Editor or Moderator edit chat alerts and manage the chatbot for a streamer? The objective is to have the mod handle anything concerning the commands.
I'm having trouble trying to set up the !raid command for streamelements. My friend wants it on but doesn't seem to be working.. Can't do the raid command from twitch either.
No, unfortunately the alerts module seems to ignore those variables. Another way to achieve that could be to trigger !so, but have another bot like fossabot respond since bots can't respond to themselves.
I think you can accomplish this by first setting up a custom command and then calling that command from this raid message. For example, create a custom command using the "shoutout" template there and then in the raid module set the message to "!shoutout {user}"
@@StreamTechTV So most of my commands are with Nightbot, so that probably explains why it's working for me. Going that route works so if you're willing to have two bots you can get it done.
you know if there's a way to shoutout specific an user even if they don't come from a Raid?, just when they first talk in chat the bot would reply with a message or their Twitch link
Yes, just not with this bot. Fossabot. I have a video here on Fossabot and this link should be timestamped on the section for setting up auto shoutout: th-cam.com/video/7789TOJAZKE/w-d-xo.html but it also has chapter markers if you need to hop around.
May you please write out the entire example for the raid message. I had an issue reading the entire thing off the screen. I really appreciate the help. The video helps a lot though! Thank you for making it. The issue was the exact typing for the $game and username part.
I have it in the description, you may have missed it due to youtube collapsing the description by default: {user} just raided the channel with {amount} viewers! bleedPurple Check them out at twitch.tv/{user}
Ah, yeah I had actually updated to remove that. Streamelements changed how they handle variables for that and it no longer works as an alert variable, unfortunately.
It will shout them out as this video sets it up with the raid alert. You can't just use your regular !so command though because bots can't respond to themselves.
I'm a little confused on what you're asking for, sorry. So the end result of this video is when *anyone* raids you it will shout them out by mentioning their channel in the raid alert in chat. Additionally, now if you have friends you want to setup to be auto shouted out once per stream even without them raiding, you can do that (and this method as well for raids) with fossabot now: th-cam.com/video/rjHg5CD_T1w/w-d-xo.html
@@StreamTechTV I have this command and its the raid alert not the shout out command. Im looking for an instant shout out where it does an actually shout out on screen not chat. The raid feature already says there name by default. Im not looking for a text only shout
My temporary setup for auto shoutout after a raid is to edit the Host Chat Module Alert message then place !so @{user} on the message then set the Amount to 1. The Raid Chat Module Alert doesn't work there after adding another message with 1 amount.
Thank you for added the message for us to cut and paste. Chefs kiss
Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for.
Thank you so much, was wondering for a while how to have the shoutout work automatically.
Thank you very much! This video was honestly very helpful! Is there a way to test the bot while off stream?
Not that I know of, since you will need to be raided for it to be able to use the variable saying who did the raid
i use StreamElements for years, but i didn't know about this part. thanks!
nice exactly what i need , thank you for your work😘😘
you do audio books . you sh0uld... got one of majesticaly deep voices! soothing haha
great vid ! thanks for the help!
Thank you! this is super thorough and well done!
This was great, thank you!
Thanks man this helped a lot, God bless!
Thanks for this! Its a big help.
Thanks Rowan!
Thank you for this.
I tried this, because this looked amazing .. I did all what you say in the video, yet it doesnt work for me?
Great video. I was only wondering if there is a way to set up a welcome bot in StreamElements to have it auto shoutout from StreamElements, rather than Streamlabs?
is there a way to have the text
that then triggers a !so {user.name}
then that does the normal !so command already set up?
Unfortunately bots cannot reply to their own commands

Yes, in the user management section you can make your mods a super mod and they can edit commands
@@StreamTechTV Thank you, really appreciate it
I'm having trouble trying to set up the !raid command for streamelements. My friend wants it on but doesn't seem to be working..
Can't do the raid command from twitch either.
is there a way to show what game they were playing?
No, unfortunately the alerts module seems to ignore those variables. Another way to achieve that could be to trigger !so, but have another bot like fossabot respond since bots can't respond to themselves.
What is the game variable to show the raider's played game? I keep getting the bot repeating my own game when i use ${game ${user}}
Hmm yeah it looks like the game variable isn't working properly when triggered by alert
Yeah game variables don't seem to work as the SE alert just isn't expecting to have a use case for that.
I think you can accomplish this by first setting up a custom command and then calling that command from this raid message. For example, create a custom command using the "shoutout" template there and then in the raid module set the message to "!shoutout {user}"
The reason that won't work is because bots cannot answer/respond to their own ands when they are the ones triggering.

@StreamTechTV Sorry, I should have specified. It's the code for the game that keeps messing up for me. I got the name and the viewer count tho. 🌹
Ah, yeah I had actually updated to remove that. Streamelements changed how they handle variables for that and it no longer works as an alert variable, unfortunately.
@StreamTechTV oh. 😓 dang, okay. Maybe if I take my shoutout variable into account 🤔 Thank you, though, so much still, though! 💗
@@aura_wolfe5125 Kast I checked, Fossabot could do this with the game variable: th-cam.com/video/rjHg5CD_T1w/w-d-xo.html
Gracias eres un crack!!. THANK YOU!
do i still need to add the $ ?
is there a way to do this through streamelements?
Last I checked, no.
will it play the shout out command automatically
It will shout them out as this video sets it up with the raid alert. You can't just use your regular !so command though because bots can't respond to themselves.
@@StreamTechTV well then one needs to be made because that's what im looking for. I don't have mods to do !so like can a bot reply to a bot?

Twitch recently killed off hosts and the api functionality so that may impact that
this is amazing thank you so much
Streamelements don't post anything with that. He's Mod and posts all other things, but not that.
You mean when he raids you? Twitch has strange raid requirements now, so does he have at least 2 or 3 viewers when he raids you?
@@StreamTechTV that works not with the Text from you. I have the problem fixed with another text. The Dollar sign is a problem.
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.
