I had some brilliant days in these with cadets, brilliant to see the canopy modeled in that way reminding me of the bail-out exercise we had to do before we could go and fly

Pull out red handle, pull back the canopy, unbuckle your seatbelt, pull the canopy back fully, climb onto the wing and jump down, deploy your parachute when clear

Flown this aircraft in real life with the cadets, handles aerobatics like a dream, great little plane

A rather neat little aircraft. After their excellent Vulcan and A-10 in FSX, they seemed to disappear as far as product support and updates were concerned . Clearly they are back, and looking good too!

The reason the student sits on the right, is so they become accustomed to using the throttle with their left hand.

I like this one more than I expected. Damn. 😂

If you're into this kind of plane, it's very good.

Another fine aircraft review! Thanks for all of your great videos. I have had the Grob since it came out. It is a fine aircraft, but the ultra thick roof brace blocks too much view and reduces my enjoyment, Looking forward to your reviews.

Have you tried using smoothtrack, or something similar? Then you can lean to look around hoop :)

I think I know why you're addicted to these smaller aircraft, Jon - it's possibly cos they’re easier to get up and running. I just ended a flight on the A310, and it all but took me an hour to get into the air; then I arrived at my destination with my descent profile badly mucked up. Couldn't even commence my approach. Ended up switching off the simulator in disgust.

Oh, but that's why you'll be back in it tomorrow - trying to figure out what you did wrong :)

Haha! I can totally relate. I've just been struggling with the A310 myself. But I didn't give up before I finally was able to complete a flight. More or less... 😂

ohhh not seen a Grob since the FSX days or was that 2004 it has been so long don't remember. Well anyway it seems to be loads of fun just the same

Not sure I like sitting on the right hand side of the plane though :)

Thanks for this amazing tutorial, I tryed flying the tutor today in MSFS and noticed the rudder wasn’t working and when I got to a certain point on the rudder it would jolt to the direction not gradually turn like a normal rudder does. do you have any advice on how I can get my rudder to be more smooth?

    • @jonbeckett
      @jonbeckett  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

You've either got a conflict with your controller configuration, or an axis isn't mapped properly.

  • @caixanegra

Hi Jonathan, I’ve been running into that issue with MSFS getting stuck. What I found out to work for me to release it is to press Windows key + D (to minimize all windows including msfs) and immediately Alt + Tab back to MSFS. Let me know if that works for you. Cheers and thank you for showing this hidden gem of an airplane!

Don't know about you but I'm addicted to small A/C because it brings back the sort of flying I enjoy IRL (although not so much these days). You can appreciate that lovely msfs scenery when flying GA too.
I've never flown an airliner or mil jet and never will, so I can't really associate with it. Tbh I love pratting around in fast jets though.
Might have to get the Grob to complement my Bulldog and Chippy.

Nice. However you always park the aircraft the wrong way.
