We went and watched fred in LA back in October, toward the part of his set he played Angie (I've been lost) and the simplicity but power of that one repeated line pretty much broke me and I remember breaking down in the middle of a crowd of people. Something so simple pretty summed up the last 10+ years of my life and explained everything in a sentence. Music is fucking magic for that.

I can't wait to see your reaction. 'Crutch' dates back to a time when Ren thought he wouldn't live much longer. Bibi was his girlfriend at that time and launched an appeal for donations for his treatment/diagnosis. If I understood correctly, it was the basis for his Lyme disease diagnosis in Brussels.
