Greek mythology and christian religion in general is
i mean the term "deus ex machina" comes from the play's the greeks had about the myths and gods. it literaly means god from the machine, because when there was a plot hole or the story needed a quick resolution they would use a machine to bring down a statue of one of the gods and have them resolve the problem in their severial holy ways. but the literal translation fits the theme of the game perfectly
I can't remember specifically, but I think Icarus's story is something the longs of him making wings but getting burned up in the sun, and the reason this has an influence is because the game is comparing augs to the wings Icarus made.

Shadowrun. Or generaly most cyberpunk games/worlds/stories in nutshell. But I especialy like shadowrun for its huge lore that includes lot of debating about cyberware and various nations or even cultures reacting on its usage
