Here is why understanding calls on the marine radio can be so confusing to the beginner. Rest assured... you're not alone.
I was waiting to find out who was on first... Bravo Zulu Captain Steve!
Literally laughed out loud. Who knew that Captain Steve was also a comedian. 😂
Certainly not me!
Wonderful.
Many thanks!
Excellent
Thanks Nuno. And thanks for watching.
nobody gets confused when RUBBERDUCK calls
“Vhat are you sinking about?”
WW2 Movie approved “over & out”
Subjects of the Crown 👑 see it differently. And I quote:
“ROGER means that you have received an instruction from ATC or ATS as it is now called.OVER means that you have transmitted "your" (pilot's) message to ATS and expect a reply.OVER and OUT means that you have transmitted your message to ATS and don't expect a reply from ATS.Another term that is not so widely used is WILCO.This means that you have received an instruction from ATS (pilot) and will cooperate. That is the way we were taught at one of the most distinguished flying schools in Canada.” End quote
Last time I heard WILCO was in the classic NCO movie, No Time for Sergeants
😂 Who's on First?! 😂
correct 🫵, over
😂
