I can reflect and understand this song as a socially awkward person who is seen as weird and crazy just because I don't conform to the social norms, I haven't done anything wrong and yet they bully and tease me because I don't act to their standards of normalcy. The movie is the most important Story Twilight was ever given and the reason why is this song. You don't see how strong your soul is by never making mistakes but by reaching the point where you almost seem ready to give up but push on, when you despite your pain or even through it continue to believe in the beauty you know the world has.
Twilight hits her lowest ever here and by hearing Tempest's origin she realizes she is like her and regains her faith in the world. It's when we see the light shining out of the shadows and see the beauty of it because it emulates the darkness, that we truly soar.
