@@TannerTheDean some champions are easy to understand even just watching their spotlights. The only difference is how you play them. Aphelios is different: it is like a subject you do not like but has to pass it. You need to learn the hard way through trial and error on the rift to actually understand him.

I am playing LOL again after 2.5 years and I became Morgana main because the others I love to play are already mastery 7. And my winrate is 88% already 😂 (also I need to learn all the new champs to know what they do and my teammate was Aphelios and I didn’t understand what he was doing and he said he didn’t either xD but eventually we won with both S rate so... guess it works)

Aphelios does not look hard, as long as you learn what each gun does it's just a matter of knowing what's available, you don't get to choose what you have and his weapons all synergise well together so as long as you're not dumb he basically plays himself, just make sure to throw a lulu on him and you're good to go. From everyone I've played with on PBE, they've all gotten crazy fed on their first game and all said he felt pretty easy.

He was also the "owner" of the actual league of legends - but I think this was changed years ago.

Hey i know it's late but riot just made a champ that turns into every other champ whenever he kills that champ. Also he has ruined king blade as a passive
@@peterociclos140 and viego himself is broken even when he's not turning into other champions. My rule with him is as soon as he has kraken slayer, just run. Seriously his dps is ridiculous with kraken slayer and when he gets blade of the ruined King he's invencible.

Fun fact: Aphelion is the term to describe the farthest point of a planet's direct orbit around the sun. I used to think his name was random but now it makes a lot of sense.

I went into practice tool, and besides setting the recommended runes and using the suggested skill point order, I also just pushed all the buttons. Seems as though the only thing that will stop this champion is a long sustained CC chain.

With every basic attack it switches between jungle, adc, supp, top and mid. With Q you can choose to transform into a turret, a poro, an inhibitor or a caster minion. R: if you calculate the mass of the sun and figure out who the captain is, it instakills the enemy nexus. Passive: you are God. you can move the terrain with your mind. Good luck:3

Boomerang with cannon passive: best kit for kiting with insane attack speed and slow down. As well as a turret that slows.
Sniper scythe: sustain in lane with poke.
Sniper cannon: easiest poke of your life.
Flamethrower cannon: aoe slow.
Boomerang scythe: easy sustain during duels as well as a turret THAT ALSO HEALS.
Boomerang flamethrower: potentially highest dps up close.
And who says Riot can’t top themselves? They’re always one step ahead of us when it comes to making champions busted.

For those who didnt get it :
-He has 5 weapons , one off hand and on hand swap through the two with W
-When one of the 2 weapons runs out of ammo , he gets another one instead of it
-Each weapon has a different active and passive , you'll get used to it after 2 games or so
-Instead of lvling up abilities , he gets stats instead : lethality/attack speed/AD
-Ult is a wide skillshot that bursts into an AoE boom boom and then fires his weapons at the targets hit

@@Illustria Ofc, bruisers should do more damage to a carry than they can do to them. That's the difference between ranged vs melee with a playstyle that puts you at greater risk. Hard engage bruisers like irelia or riven, may as well be ranged given their dashes I guess, but they're a special bunch...

I feel like this champ is made for those who have a natural knack for flexibility and adaptability. The skill ceiling for this champ is extremely high needing alot of "plan b" and contant aware of what you have, its basically a game of cards. If anything it is the king of mind games, but how can an enemy know what you are doing if YOU dont know what you are doing.

@@pp-zu2tv lmao Beatrix easy to understand, she doesn't have a swap mechanic during battle, she swaps offlane which makes it easier to determine which set of weapons to use and her reload system doesn't change her weapons which makes it easier to understand
Aphelios has a gun swap mechanic after using up all the ammo, you need to understand what weapon to save and use for later and what combo is needed in a teamfight
@@kyokokirigiri9010 uh buh, took me 3 mins to understand aphelios, took me 5 minutes to understand Beatrix(she's ducking hard because of the Sniper type thingy and the switch stuff) so it took me quite a while and i mastered the basics of Beatrix in 5 mins. Listen I'm not a typical baggy bragging person but I think I'm a great player cause I'm plat in lol and mythic in ml.
@@pp-zu2tv Beatrix's Execution is what's hard, not the gameplay, Aphelios has 25 combos, Beatrix has 4, in game Aphelios can only cast one Ultimate and he needs to use the proper weapon for the situation, Beatrix doesn't, she can just switch every 3 seconds to a new weapon and removing the 1st Ultimate cool down completely
I'm not to brag but in terms of gameplay, Aphelios is much harder than Beatrix and I play ML to it's my opinion but hey you do you
@@pp-zu2tv Lmao no, Beatrix is super easy, what do you mean? She has like 4 combos, aphelios has 4x the amount.
Aphelios: You have to manage his onhand and offhand weapons, you have to watch your every auto attack and plan what to do next with your next weapon, you have to think of what combo to use depending on the situation, when you reload you automatically use your offhand weapon (making decision making difficult).
Beatrix: Choose whatever gun you need depending on the situation.. that's it and the combos aren't hard to pull off either.

The weapons combine in specific ways, wich would make about sixteen possible passives in one character, don't quote me on that or I'll swear. And If you play Leauge often, you may not notice Design flaws, because you're just so used to them - Like Armor and health not being needed in the same game. And not to mention having runes, spells, items And all the weird damage types that do 80% of 90+lvl+5,5% of your maximum health at the begining of the game, but only at certan fazes of the moon-

He's actually not that difficult to play once you know what you're doing. I've been playing him on the PBE. Yes he's hard to play, but not impossible.
@@foxtheprogaymer yea thats the problem with such champs (cough CertainlyT champs cough), they have -0% wr in low elo- 100% wr because of smurfs in low elo and 100 % banrate in high elo/proplay.
Its not hard to get good at one champ, so "hes hard" isnt makeing him any more balanced, like a onetrick will learn a master a champ if not in 100 matches then in 150.
The harder the champ, the harder it is for riot to balance.
Either its new akali, with 40% wr and yet high pickrate, or new azir, with both stats lower than ivern banrate+pickrate combined.

Actually... I would argue that Kalista is the most overloaded champion before her nerfs. And that Aphelios is following in those footsteps. After the nerfs, he's going to be difficult to play with in solo queue. Since he's a champ that a non-communicative team will have a hard time playing with.

Except Aph isn't. He has a lot of guns, but he also has pretty much no mobility or way out of team fights. *unlike kaisa*
Toasty May not have mobility outright, but does have an insane amount of fight presence and utility for an adc.

I think he needs more skills, such a simplistic mechanic.
Some champions don't have that much mechanics, instead they require you to have a lot of knowledge over the game. For example, Sylas is hard because you have to know about your opponents' ultimates.

Azir is the most mechanically complex mage, lee sin and riven the most mechanically complex champion (closely followed by many others) aphelios is not mechanically complex. He is strategically complex, meaning that playing him takes very little unique mechanical skill (if you are a good general adc that is all the mechanics he has) but he has the highest game knowledge and strategical ability ceiling in the game as far as I can tell.

Compare Bard to Kayn for example:
Bards Q = A ranged stun to double stun alternative a slow.
Kayns Q = AOE dash with DMG + AOE DMG
Bards W = A weak heal and speed boost, alternative charges up and is still a weak heal.
Kayns W = An AOE slow with high DMG alternative an AOE knockup with decent DMG.
Bards E = Makes a tunnel with he and teammates can go through walls with
Kayns E = Can go through walls in whichever direction he wants + speed boost + heal
Like wtf is that?
Bards R = AOE Freeze which works on enemies and allies
Kayns R = Kind of a blink where he disappears and heals and makes DMG.

While Bard is a ranged support that can help his team by healing them, providing tunnels and utilizing his ult, Kayn is a melee assassin/bruiser that sacrifices team utility to be more self sufficient and as such has more damage and sustain.

Oh because then the abilities DO seem similar and comparable and that's not the story your trying to show is it?

To those who are saying that a simple or coincidencial similarities between two champions/heroes is a small thing, think again plagiarism in a game is a crime not only you will pay for not asking a permission to those you will copy a skill or champion/hero from the other game even if its a little bit hideous it's still similar, beatrix and aphelios both has 1 hand 1 off hand weapon mechanic the only thing thats different is beatrix have no off hand unique ability but is still obviously the same, beatrix skill between guns also have similarities between league champions like miss fortune's ult, similar skill with corki's first skill, and same 2 bullet shotgun mechanic as graves knowing her shotgun is not even a double barrel to begin with, its not only controversial but it's also unprofessional knowing they are already 5 years in development and still wouldn't release a hero that is professionally created.
