I couldn't back either of them, when trying to find the winner of this race I always think which horse wouldn't look out of place in next years gold cup field and none of those two fit for me
Was looking at the king George market would be interested in fact to file if i thought he was going eveii think he's probably better going left handed as i think he'll keep Golapin in Ireland and split them up
I think he's best on soft ground, which he might get at Cheltenham, but even if he does, he'll have to face a monster from Ireland-probably two or three. If you back him on the exchange, I'd be hopeful he scoots in for his first three races, which will likely be small fields on soft or heavy ground where he'll have a class edge. Then, you can cash out when he's being hyped on the preview circuit. I didn’t mention this on the podcast, but I'd be amazed if any Cheltenham novice chase is won by a British-trained horse, with the possible exception of JDR due to his untapped potential. The Irish have too much firepower across all distance divisions and mopped up all but one of the hurdle races they were eligible for. There are some potentially promising novice hurdlers on the UK scene, but the chasers will be left behind. Nicky is the only one who might be able to counter the Irish. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Lossiemouth and stateman for champion hurdle, ballyburn probably turner's but obviously the arkle is an option. Majborough probably brown advisory but turner's also on the cards. Sir gino hopefully arkle but Henderson did say he would stay hurdling.
IMO Ballyburn goes turners , I think he’s found his perfect method to get the to the gold cup the year after , if he goes to the arkle it’ll be run at hell for leather pace n that won’t help the horse learn to settle for a gold cup
That’s a good point. But, what do you do with IEP? Willie is happy to race certain horses against one another, but at Cheltenham he keeps them apart, especially in the novice chases and IEP is very exciting for the this season.

If Ballyburn and IEP turn out to be Willies best 2 Novice Chasers then Townend is going to want to ride both imo. Ballyburn will run over 2m and 2.5m during the season and then run in the Arkle leaving Paul to win the Turners on IEP. Have a feeling the same could happen with El Fab and Gaelic Warrior with one of them (GW hopefully) stepping into the Ryanair
Lossie mouth looks like a champion hurdler to me so i think Ballyburn probably goes chasing could win arkle or turner's depends on his other novices he likes to try and win as many race's as possible

Maljorboug is only horse that would interest me for turner's. Willie said after he won at Cheltenham that he will be a stayer over fences.
