i love the racing post a\p show with johnny dineen better than with gavin lynch because johnny is hilarious but as pundits gavin was different class to johnny
Great show guys. Glad the channel is back, and excited for the season ahead No mention of Iroko in the JP horses with spring targets (National), I noticed. He could be an interesting one
Regardless of whether you like it or not, the changes made to the 2 races that have been made, will increase competition, not dilute it. I'm all for it.
Brilliant show lads, a modern-day Guru of Nat Hunt in Gavin Lynch always take note of his views.Ante post has changed completely, and Gavin pointed this out. What will trainers think of changes to the festival,?will they try to smuggle one into the Turners? or go for quality in Arkle and Brown's?. I hope FACT to File will go for the KG. The course will suit him and his style of running.
Gavin Lynch is different class, knowledgeable without being arrogant, smart, efficient with his words and always seems to say the right thing, his views and opinions tend to be correct when looking back on things much later My favourite part of upping the ante was when he did his segment “the week that was” - his views on each horse was superbly concise and correct
I think it is the only segment I miss to be honest. I actually get a great kick out of Johnny Dineen so having DJ with JD & GL on weekly would just be NH Heaven during the Winter lol
Enjoyed this lads . Trying to guess where mullins is sending his horses months I advance is a pointless exercise though. Hard enough the weeks before the festival 😅
Excellent guest , video as usual . Quick question pls . Following your discussion on Ballyburn , I’ve got antepost slip on him for the Turners which has now got void on it 🤷🏼🤷🏼
@@paulwhitling3349 So a single bet will be void and your money returned. A multi bet will just be reduced. So your 7 selection heinz will become a 6 horse bet instead.
Me and Gavin Lynch were both born in the same year, i had a morning paper round and a evening one when younger Andrew but you must have had 6 paper rounds because you look a lot older than your age even though you come across as a likeable lad.
Where would kopeck des bordes likely run at Cheltenham in your opinion...these last couple of shows are some of the best you've ever done in my opinion... especially at this time of year...thanks ...from an average punter who loves Cheltenham and jumps in general..
Consitution Hill had suspected Colic and according to Nicky it was touch and go for a while and yes now hes had a wind op as well so you would want to see him back with his engine still intact and nothing bothering him before backing him for the Champion Hurdle. The Champion Hurdle is already a 3 horse race though between Constitution Hill,Lossiemouth and Stateman as nothing else will be good enough.
I think ballyburn in the arkle is a crazy prediction but we'll see 😂 Mullins is the don if he has to train for 2 and half and miss cheltenham to guarantee a gold cup he would. He has his ways and the galopin way was it.
Any normal punter with half a brain who likes to have a bet at the Cheltenham Festival will not want the proposed changes Josh.Cheltenham does not need more 20 plus runner handicaps which benefit the bookies only.I have been betting on the festival as many years as you are old Josh and when Fact Or File won the Brown Advisary for instance last season that i had backed antepost at a double figure price why as a punter did i care if there was only a 6 runners in the field? It is a lot easier to find the winner of a Turners Chase than another 20 runner handicap .Its all being done for the benefit of the bookies as they have been stung the last few Cheltenhams now and so what are we ment to feel sorry for them??They make the majority of there profits not on horse racing anyway but on the gambling machines in bookies and there online casino sites if anyone is daft enough to play on them.I suggest punters show there dislike by doing what i will be doing not having a bet in the new propsed handicaps and instead go to the bar or to put the kettle on while there being run.The problem horse racing is having Josh is when we were kids many years ago you had 2 meetings on a Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday not 6 meetings on these days which a lot of are substandard poor races. Why do we have so many meetings again its for the bookies as no normal punter wants to trawl his way through 6 meetings every day trying to find a winner or two.We need better quality racing and less of it,they all chunter on about safer gambling safer gambling ,well god help the flaming addicted punters these days who have 36 plus flaming races to feast over every day.😅
Why will the 2m and 3m novice be better races because you might have horses whose optimum is 2m4f running in them? That is just a crazy notion. The much more likely scenario is that they will skip Cheltenham altogether to run in the 2m4f Grade 1 at Fairyhouse. Punters voting for these changes must like losing. The changes are just designed to increase bookmaker profits, nothing to do with anything else. Unfortunately, the media are hand in hand with the bookmakers so predictable cheerleading going on. O'Leary was spot on.
Cracking guest.Gavin Lynch the Cheltenham king.
The king 👑

Jonny’s a joke, Gavin’s a goat!!
Fascinating video, with an excellent guest!
It has highlighted where I can improve in following the sport. I look forward to doing so!
Great show lads and great choice of guest. Gavin is someone I always enjoy listening to.
Thanks mate!

Things you love to see!
Thanks Dave 👊

Quality as usual. Gavin is the man👌

Great show again fellas

It’s a puzzle, inside an enigma, inside a conundrum. Best of luck mate!!👍
@tonymurray814 isn't it just lol
Great episode lads Gavin a legend

Brilliant show fantastic guest
Good stuff lads.. here wee goooo
Thanks Gary!
Great Show again.Better than Terrestrial TV.
Very kind! Thank you!
Excellent guest , video as usual . Quick question pls . Following your discussion on Ballyburn , I’ve got antepost slip on him for the Turners which has now got void on it 🤷🏼🤷🏼
Are they single bets on him for the Turners or in doubles/trebles
@@johnsonkevin1it’s in my pre 2024 chello antepost super Heinz . I know the race has been downgraded but …
@paulwhitling3349 As a single you will get your money back, but in multis it will be just reduced. So your 7 selections will become 6
They're void unless you bet with a total bandit company like mgmbet
@@paulwhitling3349 So a single bet will be void and your money returned.

Always love listening to Gavin
Think a few more of the bookies bones are going on fast or Slow... Cheers as always gents!
Great video lads
Thanks Peter!
Really interested to see how Corbett’s cross goes this season. I thought when he crossed the line in March, that’s next years gold cup winner
Me and Gavin Lynch were both born in the same year, i had a morning paper round and a evening one when younger Andrew but you must have had 6 paper rounds because you look a lot older than your age even though you come across as a likeable lad.
Gavin Lynch couldn't tip a wheelbarrow. He said that 11/8 about Willie Mullins have 12+ winners at the Cheltenham Festival was a value bet.

Thank you very much Richard! That's really nice to hear. I hope the season is a profitable one for you 🤞
Salvator - Supreme
Kopek - Gallaghers
I’m hoping 🤞🏻
@@OscarBravo7I’ve gone the same way so🤞🏻
There covered then...thanks...two in the book...
What do you think to Maughreen following Faugheen to the Gallaghers for Cheltenham? Ive had a few free bets on at 100/1
Consitution Hill had suspected Colic and according to Nicky it was touch and go for a while and yes now hes had a wind op as well so you would want to see him back with his engine still intact and nothing bothering him before backing him for the Champion Hurdle. The Champion Hurdle is already a 3 horse race though between Constitution Hill,Lossiemouth and Stateman as nothing else will be good enough.
Gavin talking sense as per norm
🤝
❤❤❤❤
Great you got Gavin back again. Always great to hear from him. Still miss him doing Upping The Ante with Dave Jennings.
Thanks Rob!
Gavin should be a regular...
JD is hilarious and it's much better craic now. GL decided to charge punters for his tips. That's on GL.
IEP could stay hurdling, willie might use him to mop up a few 2m 4f hurdle races in england like he did last year
Chances are loussiemouth won't be seen till 2025 and will run once then run in the mares hurdle. Mystical power probably goes to the champion hurdle
Willy de houile the French import for ricci
Mystical Power does not have a hope in hell of beating the ones at the top of the betting in the Champion Hurdle.
I think ballyburn in the arkle is a crazy prediction but we'll see 😂
Mullins is the don if he has to train for 2 and half and miss cheltenham to guarantee a gold cup he would. He has his ways and the galopin way was it.
Why dont they change the RSA to a 2m 6f race will be less attritional
I hate the Broadway Chase.! I would have ditched that race and kept the Arkle over the Go Kart circuit and extended the Golden Miller to the full 2m5f
Can you please ask gavin to send me a lucky 31 for coming Cheltenham
Turning Cheltenham into a Handicap Meeting, disgusting
how come once u get thousands of subscribers you then start charging for membership?
