But eventually I got bored of chasing levels and gears, life skill dull out for me, and I found new life in sailing. However I recommend the Volante ship for sailing cause of the "Need for speed" haha. Look forward to your next video.

Very helpful, im wondering how do i get more than 1 sailor, i heard i need to do great expedition questline but i wanna barter on a lvl 49 character, and it only unlocks on lvl 50, and the quest seems to be character wide.
sailors depends on ship type, each ship can carry different number of sailors. i recommend just using a high lvl character for sailing at first, so you an do up all the quest, and then get all the mats. if one day u just want to use a lvl 49, then you can use back this current 49 for safe barter. also, u can opt to transfer the exp over from the higher lvl character too using life skill transfer coupon. but need 2, transfer of (barter xp) and (sailing xp). for me, i always been using a lvl 61, so far so good. once u get to carrack, pvp is very seldom seen on ocean cause almost all carrack users are trying to make money, not war.
Well they do use the term forecastle. Ships were meant to be miniforts on the water.

Found one recently at Port epheria
@VINTAGExTEABAGx that's great. I always put a few of the hiring scroll in storage and park a character there. So if I relog and find one, I can use maid to take out the hiring scroll. if I recall correctly I did this because the npc at epheria doesn't sell it. Hope this helps too.
I would to have a combination of bartering / pve and pvp of sailor so right now I have 5 innocent sailors which I heard is best for bartering. I am thinkg of getting another 5 for now for more pve orientated and good enough pvp incase I run to bdonavy. Which would best for the combat situation?
hi iSin, it'll take a long time to have those sailors up to desired stats to be honest, so I won't split the concentration all over, to grow sailing to max level is easy, but if all of them have lousy stats, then its still useless. There is a chart in my community discord in the sailing section that shows sailor stats. If you are in SEA server (Asia), then don't bother on pvp sailors, they will hardly or never be in action.
Also, even if you are in other server, daily barter will still be using innocent, cause of speed, especially if you are volante, have blue gear, carrack skin, khan heart, you will want to get all innocent with top stats to go beyond 180% speed. Reason for speed is because, if you move fast and maneuver fast enough in pvp situation, you can lessen your damage and in return, still consistently fire on the other ship that might be slower and sink him first. If you go for fire power sailor, no doubt its slightly higher in fire attack power and range, if you were to get hit and unable to move, you will still sink, Plus, you can't swap sailor when being engage in pvp during bartering either, so chances of pvp situation using pvp sailors are extremely low.
And if your aim is making money, upon engagement of first being fired upon, its best to just swap channel instantly, to avoid losing all the goods on your ship. Imagine all your T5 good gone just because you engage in return fire, not worth it at all. Sea content is easier to Switch server, cause opponent cannon fire has a long reload timing.
And with home server now, you can keep swapping between both home server 1 and 2 without limit or cool down. If after what I just shared you still want to go combat sailors, you can let me know, then i can advise you a bit, but really, hardly anyone goes combat sailor, cause day in day out, its just not optimal.
@@TrinityOnline No I totally agree with you 100%! There is a sailing guild in NA called BDONavy which only relevant at Vell, where they just love to attack anybody even though no one really cares and sea pvp is dead content anyway. Most days I am the only Vell captain for my alliance so I have tons of people riding with me, but even so
if there is a time when I have to pvp due to a guild dec and I must win, I want to win them or at least tried to save my guildies (guildies boats). Currently I have 7 sailor spots and I am running 5 innocents and 1 quick. Based on your comment, would it be better to run 80 or 90% innocent and 10-20% focusfire sailors - maybe mix of quick
and quick-witted for more range and accuracy?
Well bdo is a min max type of battle. Cause if you have only a small percentage, it doesn't really help.
What I recommend you to do is to ensure all guild members are ready to switch channels. You guys decide on what channel to all go to, in case of pvp.
Or before that keep a look out for that guild. If they are there then u guys can decide once vell is over, instant switch channel. Cause vell reward is automated into your black spirit safe, so the moment it is over, you can go.
The issue with your ship defending honour only leads to disasters. No ship means no way home for members. So u must survive for that fact.
Thus even if u mix, hard core pvp ships will always outgun you. So might as well max out the speed. After vell, change server, if chased, go full speed and run.
Faster you are the better. Better if you are volante with khan heart, 2 blue gear part that constrain speed at +10 and carrack pearl skin. At 181%++ keeping ship in front of opponent in same direction, he can hardly touch u and won't be able to catch up.
So if you ask me about the mix, I would say I don't recommend due to all of the above. When it comes to pvp in this game, it's either go big or go home. Cause people using valor, full cannon sailor, full valor skin will always win.
But one thing volante have is high speed and with khan heart +25 mastery, that's a super bonus. Other than that speed only comes from sailing level which is super hard to lvl to, so speed is still the key in my honest opinion.
For bartering I like a mix of speed and turn rate.
If thats your preference, go ahead with what you like. At the end of the day all server regions may have different pvp intensity and also, everyone will have their preferences over how they want to play it. After all information online helps us make informed decisions and ultimately I think it's best to go with what you feel comfortable with.
What about the "Born-in-the-Sea" and "Ambitious" type sailors? Both have higher speed stats than the innocent sailor.
Initially they will have higher speed, but when it comes to going higher level, meaning to say level 10 growth potential, innocent will be highest of all. So we usually go for innocent sailors cause we will be leveling those sailors to level 10. Where do you find Altinova sailors?
I don't think there is any. Firstly there are no sailors under the altinova name term. Also altinova doesn't have sailor resting spot. The only 3 places you can find sailors are
Velia - inside the Inn around the tables
Port Epheria - along the beach near the whale
Iliya Island - along the harbor and up the road

Isn't "born-in-the-sea" the fastest sailor, not innocent?
At first born in sea may seem faster, but later as you level up to max level stats innocent will be way faster.
