Micah, at 71 years young, I would've liked to have had a dad like you. You're a good man and those youngsters of yours are truly Blessed, as are your friends and the rest of your family. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us! God Bless!
Sir, I absolutely love what your doing here, harvesting a hog with the boys creating food and some tasty memories. I’m from the city and never had this experience until I got older with friends. Please keep this up and bring family and friends together like it should be.
LOL that's the same way that pig is I got from you constantly knocking over his water flipping his food bowl over. His time's coming soon and once again to get together was great the food was amazing and I couldn't ask for a better bunch of Neighbors God bless you and your family hopefully we can do it again
Everything turned out looking awesome ! That was cool of you inviting everyone on your road for a hog roast . Everyone watching is wishing they lived on your road lol . Thanks for sharing and have a blessed day !
That’s how you Git-R -Done !!! 👍👏👏. Learning skills that will last a lifetime !!! Great job y’all 👌. One day Micah will be able to sit back and just watch and drink coffee. 👍
Noticed everyone in the comments mentioning how great of a father this man is. Yea after watching this its hard not to agree. Dude is a friggin sweet heart. Lol
I believe you really appreciated the gift your neighbors gave you and you continued to used those scrapers. Although I would’ve been appreciative I would’ve switched to more efficient scrapers.
Brother, I love that you're doing all this cool shit with your kids and community, they'll cherish these memories long after you're gone. Don't let all these idiots nit pick your video, keep on keeping on my friend!
Hey to your kids....Your dad is a leader and a teacher and he's giving you some of the best life lessons in the world. Absorb it and pass it down to yours.
Man it's a shame I don't live on your road lol. Looked amazing Micah and mighty neighborly of you and your family. We need more of that in these dark days that we live in. God Bless
It does take effort, and time….. which seems to be hard to find. But my goodness it’s definitely worth all of the effort and time invested!!! Many neighborhood problems can be solved if a pig roast is involved!!😂😂😂😂
I'm very happy that you shared this. I'm taking in the info your able to share. Iv always wanted to have a chance to learn things you can not learn today. Especially in the city. Wish my children have a chance to learn what your children learn on a daily. God bless you and your family. ❤
Those scrappers are the cat's meow. When I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines, we had neither a tractor nor a tub big enough for the hog, so we poured boiling water over the hog and scrapped the hair off with razor blades tied into bamboo slivers, working small sections at a time. It was a chore.
Living in south Alabama,I can relate to this ole boy. He would fit in fine around us. His channel popped up while watching squirrel cooking videos and after watching him, I had to subscribe.
Best part of this video is the kids joining in. Using them hands for something else other than swiping and clicking buttons on a controller, Good stuff!
I m a former pig farmer with a small herd of approximately 400 head - mangalitsa not my favorite breed due to fat content but many people love that quality. I prefer large blacks and spots or durocs. But your processing and cooking is spot on and I would have been blessed to participate with your cook out ! Blessings to you, family and all your friends 🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is a great topping for pork, its hard to get people to try it, but its even harder to get them to stop lol. 12 cherry preserves 1/4C light corn syrup 1/4C red wine vinegar 1/4tsalt 1/4t ground cloves 1/4t ground nutmeg 1/4t cinnamon Mess with the amounts after you make it, i always make big batches when i cook hogs for weddings. I hope that you like it.
Hi, friends, I’m from China. I like your channel introduction statement very much, and fully agree with your view of life. That’s what the meaningful life should be for kids and for the human beings!
Id like to thank you again for sharing all this know how....me papaw always said familys will one day need a family farm to survive...it wont be long now me thinks...God bless you and the family
Another wholesome video with family. I moved to Portugal about 10 years ago from the UK to live a similar life and with the locals and domestic pig i have helped they would singe off the hairs, clean out the ears with boiling water, and then scrub the pig with broken pieces of cinder block, it works really well, torch the toe nails off and then get to cutting. they use every part of the pig, the intestines get run through a type of orange they grow here that is way too bitter to eat but half it and run the intestines, inside out, through it and it cleans them, rinse in water and ready to make chorizo. Wild Hogs are skinned like you do except with less finesse, im going to try your jowl bacon on my hog! I started watching your videos for sausage recipes and really like the way you come across and do stuff, no BS and a great bunch of kids learning the most important skills a great dad can teach 'em. I wonder what pronouns that big went by ???... bacon and tasty perhaps
Is there another open piece of land on your road for me? LOLOLOL...BBQ ribs -- and I like a little sauce burnt in to the meat -- are my FAVORITE! I'm sure I would've given you 2 thumbs up!!
I'm sure it's a local thing, but don't think I would ever put red cedar smoke on any hog or beef over here in Texas. Close to I'd get to cooking with cedar would be a nice fillet of salmon---but rather use Alder wood even for that. But it looked like everyone loved the swine, so great job!!!!
After seen this video i took a few second to comment that i love the video , because you made part you boys .....those memory are going to be with them for ever......whit my dad and mom i did the same when i was yong boy and also buctchering cows in Argentina now in calufornia i do the same when i have the chamce i go to friend's ranch and do things like that ......Gid bless your family i've enjoy your video to the max.....awesome cheer my friend...god bless you all ....

You’re absolutely welcome Ken!!
I may come live on your road if I can expect feasts like that. That was an amazing process, from squeal to meal. Camp Dog. Good stuff.
I don’t know if there’s another video on TH-cam that takes it from start to finish…… but they usually don’t.
from snooter to tooter that’s the way it’s done
