- Hey there everyone! My first "official" grocery shopping trip in my new home! We start with a very short drive to the store...Short purse rummage...Shopping in beautiful Susanville Supermarket IGA...Groceries into the car. Then I just have to show y'all what I bought when we get home. Another small peek at a corner of my new home. Just a little tease. Tee hee! The crinkles in this video are insanely tingly! @@jessiescreations8365 🫣 oh my gosh! I'd never let anybody see me in that silly looking get up! My goodness, I look a fright in this contraption that I wear. It's just a harness that holds my camera strapped to my body. Then otherwise, the viewpoint you see at the end of this video during the grocery haul, I just have the camera set up on a microphone stand close to the table and I just do everything in front of the camera. No magic tricks. 😀👍🏻

I always find your shopping videos so incredibly relaxing and comforting and also it's nice to visit places with you. One of my mental health conditions is agoraphobia and i don't get out much right now so it's fun to see new places on asmr videos, i already feel like I'm missing a lot so these videos give me some kind of connection to the outside world.❤ thankyou for all the brilliant videos and time you give to us. I believe that everyone should feel appreciated and valued 💐
How do you get your groceries, Sarah?
@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction I have them delivered off Amazon groceries or Deliveroo. I don't tend to need a big shop so get a small shop as and when needed. I miss my freedom and independence terribly but I have health professionals working with me to try and improve things. My next goal is to attend a craft course which has been set up for people with wellbeing issues.

Never fear about filming anything in Cali, the youngsters (and older folks) film in public so so very often whether it’s pranks or tiktok dances, skits, and what have you! Nobody will think twice about a kind looking person grocery shopping 😊 But honestly even if that is the case, I’d still be a little self conscious. Thank you for making these videos and putting so much effort toward our relaxation ❤❤ Hope you’re enjoying Cali! Grocery prices look veeeery similar up here in Seattle unfortunately!

If you have independently owned ranch markets in your area of California, those are the cheapest for fruits and vegetables and nuts. I went to them constantly when I lived in Los Angeles. They're also the best for produce and freshest.

I used to feel very self-conscious about it. I would say that I've only gotten strange looks every now and then. Most people just glance at you and then continue on. I think maybe the public is getting used to seeing people filming everything with their cell phones these days.

As for grocery prices, keep trying different stores if possible. You’ll find they can vary dramatically in pricing for the same items. I tend to shop at different grocery stores different weeks depending on what I need (thankfully we have many options where I live). Good luck!

Susanville Supermarket Is probably like shopping at Vons, Albertsons, and Ralphs grocery stores, they're all expensive. My mother loves San Luis Sourdough Bread also.

Ohh this brings me so much joy seeing my old home. I miss it too much! I would advise that grocery outlet is good for the fruit, but Safeway is franchise so their selection is cheaper also iga is good for meat deals but there’s a butcher that has local meats…
Iga is expensive though.

IGA's are great! We have one up in Bluefield Va when we're visiting there. It's called Grant's IGA.... and they do an amazing job! Susanville Ca. looks like a beautiful town.❤

It's so weird but for some reason I always thought the weather in California was humid. Maybe it was because of the Ocean and since I live near the sea as well and it's humid almost all the time, l thought it would be the same there too. Now i feel stupid 😅😅😅
Don't feel bad. If you have never been here, you wouldn't necessarily know. At certain times of the year it can be humid on the north west coast. Sometimes. Mostly, California is a desert of sorts.

Hi Rebecca! I love watching your videos and they make me so happy all the time and make my mood relaxed. Living in California for the past four years. I realized that we need to shop at affordable stores. Here are some that I shop all the time and you can get shopping less than other stores that are fancy. 1. 99cent store, 2. Food Maxx, 3. Walmart. I know its just you and your husband but getting food in Bulk saves you a lot of money. I hope this helps. FYI the store you went too there is one by me, however its four hours away from me. I hope that we can meet some time.

There’s a plastic bag ban in Delaware, it went into effect last year. Groceries provide paper bags, and reusable bags for purchase.

Does Susanville have a Walmart? Groceries have gotten so expensive that I now shop Walmarts Great Value brands. They are more affordable. Such good sounds today😄
Oh yes! We have a store here called grocery outlet that really is much more affordable. Less than Walmart even. But I definitely shop Walmart as well.
I live in Montreal and the food prices in grocery stores are pretty much the same here. Walmart is a tad cheaper. We have those same brand of pistachios and they are also $4.99. I envy my friend in NC who shops at Aldi - fab prices. I miss the pre-pandemic grocery prices.

No doubt Hollywood, television and propaganda has kept you in the dark about the vast spaces of empty land and beautiful forests. I have so much open space! 👏🏻😀 My towns population is 15,000. So quaint! 😅 You really must come see Northern California someday and see what you are missing. It's Paradise.

I wanted to share that unfortunately there is a way to lock your keys in a car that uses a fob. I sometimes lock my car door by pressing the lock button on the door itself as I'm getting ready to close it (especially if my battery on my fob is low and I'm not somewhere I can change it). Anyway if you lock the door by this method and then accidentally drop your keys inside the car (not knowing it) then close the door... the keys can become locked in the car. Been there done that unfortunately.
Oh no! What a bummer that happened to you! This car is 2023 so they have found a way around the problem you mentioned. I have tried over and over again to lock it with the door while keys were still inside and it won't work. On top of that, they have rigged the computer so that the car honks at you twice if you leave your keys in the car! 😂😂 isn't that a riot?!

Does your car put it in actual park or is it auto start/stop? If so, you should be able to turn that setting off. Maybe TH-cam it or look at your manual 😊
We have a button for auto start/stop. You bet my husband uses that! 😂 He hates the engine to shut off. This car will actually revert to Park all by itself! Crazy.
I'm Italian but I'm studying in The Netherlands, and I though that the prices here were high 🤣 maybe I'll reconsider that

I was watching one of your videos from just recently and you mentioned that you lived in Paradise California obviously before it ceased to exist. I was curious if you knew/remembered a couple by the names of Duke and Janice, I know they lived there before it was destroyed, if you do know/remember them, Janice is my Great Aunt, through my father's side, if you don't remember them that's perfectly fine, I just think it's fun that we both have a connection to Paradise California.
Lars! Oh my goodness! So glad that Janice and Duke survived the fire! I lived in paradise for nine years. Both my houses that I lived in are now gone. My sisters house survived. Her boyfriend fought for it to the very end, and was inflicted with some decent sized burns.
I wish I had known Duke and Janice. Very possible I may have met them under some circumstance. I only knew people from the Paradise alliance church and from the Smokey Mountain lounge and restaurant.
